When will it come?
Im a lire if u've seen that other question, im 11 (i felt embarrassed to say)My mum started her period between 12 and 13. I'm 12 and a couple of days, i started getting Milky discharge about a year ago. isn't that as long before you start your period? Ive hit puberty aswell, and started developing breasts. Quite allot of my friends have started and when people ask me i lie and say yes because im scared that they'll think im strange.- how long will i have to wait for it to start? And should i tell people the truth? Please help.

It's not strange that you haven't got your period yet and it's up to you if you want to tell your friends the truth or not.
No one can tell you exactly when your period will starts because periods are a natural thing and it will come when your body is ready. Some girls get their period early and some girls get it later or when they are a bit older like at 15 or 16. Some girls have all the signs of starting but it doesn't start until months or years later and some girls start soon after they get the signs including vaginal discharge. Everyone is different.
Girls most likely will start at the age of when their mum started so you might get it between the ages of 12 and 13. Don't worry if you don't because this is not always true. It can be for some girls but their are other girls who don't get their period at the age of when their mum did and that's fine.
You are only 11 so don't worry hun, like I said it will come when your body is ready.

You don't need to answer straight if anyone asks you have you started, you could give an awkward answer if you are worried about people knowing, or just keep it to yourself and don't discuss it.
As for when you will start; who knows?
Everyone is different,but girls usually start around the same time as their mothers.. so your period may be just around the corner *woo* :)

Well there's no certain time when you should start, everyones different. I started when I was 13 and a half, my best friend started at 11 and my sister started hers when she was almost 12. Don't worry about it, it will come when it's ready. Considering the discharge you had it will probably be between 6 months-1 year, try to put it out of your head for now because when it does start you will wish you could go back to before haha! The truth is every girl is different. There is no set age for you to get your period.
I got mine at 12. Some of my friends didn't get theirs until they were 15 or 16. My cousin was 14. It varies between girls. You are completely normal. Don't worry about being strange! Everyone develops at different rates and stages.
The discharge is a sign that your period is on it's way as are your breasts. If you have developed pubic hair aswell that can be a good indication or if your breasts are sore or tender to touch.
Telling people whether you have your period or not is completely your discretion. You don't have to lie as I said there is nothing to be ashamed about.
Trust me enjoy your time without it! once you have it you will be wishing you don't!
