Q: what does "a leer" mean? because "a" means "to" and leer unconjugated means "to read" so is it "to to read"???

it just means "to read".
you have to conjigate the word "leer" with whatever noun/pronoun/infinative comes in front, so they leave it in its normal form so it doesnt mislead you into thinking its subject is one thing or another.

Q: We're doing this book cover project in English class and I need to describle two of the characters of Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

I've read the book, but I'm having a hrad time coming up with character descriptions. I want to do Blla and Edward...so if anyone has any catchy ideas of how I could start them I would be forever grateful.

Also we have to write a brief abstract of the plot of the book, so if anyone has any ideas...I'm almost done with the abstract so I'm just worried about the character description...

Q: I need help for a halloween costume. I'm going to my older brother's halloween party and I need something REALLY original and/or funny. I tried looking at other questions for costumes, but everything people said were unoriginal and overdone. I need something that no one will expect, because the people at this party (who are my brother's friends and I know them pretty well) are the random type. I can't go to the party wearing something stupid and unoriginal. It can be anything really, just not anything that's overdone. For example, my brother is being "Teradactylman" where he'll modify a Batman costume to be like a teradactyl. Yeah, he's weird, but I need something original like that. Please help, because I'm quite unoriginal myself and google didn't help. Thanks.

Q: Yesterday when I was talking to my BF, I asked him if he got mad at me the night before and he said yea. Me and a bunch of our friends were sitting around a table in my friends backyard. There werent enough chairs so I sat on my BF's lap and one of my guy friends sat on my friend thats a girl's lap. There is an inside joke we have that she's a banana and I wanted to "squiish" her so I sat on the guys lap who was sitting on her. It wasnt even in a way at all that even seemed more thn friendly and my BF knows that and he knows I wouldn nver cheat on him in any way. I would never touch a guy I felt was in more than a friendly way. He got mad at me and I knew it right away cause he got really quiet. He also told me to never do it again when I feel I didnt even do anything wrong. I wasnt like rubbing up against the kid or making it seem at all more than just sitting on him. But the thing is, he's actually slept over a girl friend of his's house before I met her and all I knew was she was his ex. I did not get mad or jealous. He also went wasnt home for two days and idnt call me either one to tell me where he was or anything. I had to ask his sister. I didnt get mad at him for that either. I don't think I could trust him anymore than I do right now but it just makes me so angry he got madd over that.

i think its more of a jealousy than a being mad.

boys are too machoistic to admit that theyre jealous, so they act like their mad and try to guilt theyre way into getting what they want.

thats usually how guys are anyway.

Q: This is reallllly long, I'm sorry!!

To start off, my last relationship (also my first) was horrible. I don't know what I was thinking. I went to camp with him, we kind of sort of shyly talked and I liked him, he asked me out and I said yes. We hung out 3 times in a span of 2 months and he smoked in front of me (after I told him I hate it) and just used me... and cheated on me with at LEAST 4 girls. Those are just the ones I know about. I don't care about him at all anymore, I never think about him, we didn't talk before so we still don't now.

So my point is that that relationship kind of left a mark and now I have some of the same fears. I am now in a relationship with a boy who was one of my best friends. We both kind of admired each other from afar before we met, then when we did we liked each other's personalities too and realized we liked each other. And, lucky us, we had a mutual friend and eventually it was like our 2 groups of friends merged and now we are an inseparable pack. haha. So after a year or so of liking each other he finally asked me out (he was so shy. He had actually been in a relationship with one of my "friends" who no one really likes. And they didn't talk the WHOLE time. It was pointless. And my friend KNEW I liked him and still asked HIM out! And he was desperate I guess, and that mutual friend from before convinced him to do it.) Other than this though he was so shy and I didn't think he even liked girls yet, haha.

Everyone thought us going out would be awkward since he used to be so shy with girls. But after a few days of a nothing-changed-still-good-friends relationship, we started treating each other like more than friends. And we have been great ever since (It has been about 4 1/2 months).

Sorry for such a long prelude, but it does take a while to understand.

Anyway, he is so good to me. And having had that horrible relationship before, I feel like I am not being grateful enough for what he does for me because I am always a little skeptical.
I am a very jealous person, but I don't like anyone to know that, so I try to keep it hidden. He doesn't really talk to many other girls except my best friends which is fine. But there is one girl I always thought liked him and I thought he used to like her, and sometimes I still worry about it. He has dealt with me asking about her and worrying and annoying him about her multiple times and he is still okay with it. He says she is too difficult to talk to and doesn't have anything important to say so he could never like her anyway. He teases her, but most of the time it is her that initiates talking to him. I know that's how boys flirt so I asked him about it. He said that that isn't how he flirts. At first I didn't believe him, but then he told me how he just teases everyone else and when he was "flirting" with me he never did. And it's true, he never really did tease me. But does that make sense? Is he just the guy who flirts differently or is he saying that?

Anyway, a while ago my friends who were going out broke up. My boyfriend said something like "well I can see where James (the guy who broke up with the girl) is coming from. I mean we are sophomores in high school. We can't expect to last forever. Like right now I see no reason for us to break up at all, but I don't think it will last forever"
Well, it hurt but I knew I shouldn't be naive and expect us to be together forever since we are so young.
After a while we were talking and I told him that I made 11:11 wishes that he would always love me. And he said he would love me forever. I want to believe him because it is such a sense of security knowing that he won't be gone tomorrow, but what he said before holds me back.

He says I make him happy and that before I was with him he was just okay, never actually happy. The way he describes it, like I compliment him and he has fun hanging out with me, sounds half like maybe I am just an ego boost. I don't know.

Also, he told me the other day that he doesn't think of me as a girlfriend. "We treat each other like boyfriend and girlfriend, but I just always think of you as more like my best friend. I guess it just never hit me. I know you are my girlfriend but it takes me a while to realize it sometimes." He's not stupid, don't worry. I just wonder if that is a good thing?

I feel like I am forgetting something I wanted to ask. But I just feel like I need someone's input on this. I have no problems with him but these things just stay in the back of my mind and I think about them too much.

i think he does really like you, but you only included the iffy things he said, maybe if you included examples of the lovey things he says i might be able to get a better idea.

but one of my ex's, before we broke, started saying things like we wouldnt last forever, and i love you like a best friend its weird that your my girlfriend.

and thats usually a bad thing, but it can also be good, if he thinks of you as a best friend AND a girlfriend, thats a really good thing.

i totally know how you feel because i also think about little things guys say way too much, but the thing is, their guys.

guys are about the over all picture, not the little details of what they say, when he makes little remarks like that, he either doesnt realize that it means something, or is just subconsiosly saying things.

either way, he does seem to care, so if you ever did break up, youd probably be great as best friends, but i doubt that will happen very soon, because he totally seems into you.

so dont worry about it too much, because worrying is a serious downfall in most realtionships.

Q: for homecoming girls give the guys crasauges and guys give the girls mums right? and i know what mums are but what are crasages? r they just the same thing as mums except theyre shorter and theyre worn on the arms of the guys? and are the crasages supposed to be kinda girly and pretty?? i need answers soon please!! and if you can even give me a link to pictures of crasages!!! please help!! thanks!!

im pretty sure its the other way around.
the girls wear the corsages, its like a bracelete kinda thing with a flower of some sort on it.

there are 2 semesters in a school year.
if you take 4 years, thats 8 semesters.

i cant answer this in detail, because there is no detail.
different guys think different girls are hot, certain guys may consider you hot, while others dont, its just how it is.

Q: Okay, so there are some girls at my school who send naked pictures of themselves to guys. And they hang all over guys (even guys who are taken) and talk dirty and stuff. boys like girls like that to fool around with, but not to go out with or be good friends with.

if a guy just wants sexual stuff from a girl, hell go for a girl who messes around alot, because he knows there wont be any attachments or emotional stuff or jealousy.

Q: Ok, well i have been getting these leg spasms at night when im sleeping. They are super painful and i wake up in serious pain almost crying. it only happens in my calfes. Particually and lately the left 1. Right before it gets super tense and if i can i try and stretch it to relax the muscle so it doesn't have a spasm. If it does i have incredible pain for a short amount of time and i can't even walk (but usually i go back to sleep anyway because its like 3 in the morning) then i have to limp to get ready and walk really slowly during the first couple hours but it just turns into a dull pain. My mom said it's a charley horse and i need more potacium in my diet. Besides bananas what has a lot of potacium? And if they're are any ways to help relax my muscles please tell me! a kid at my school JUST did a presentation on potassium. lol

tomatoes(1150mg) and avocados(1050mg) have tons of potassium, more so than bananas.
as do raisins(1020mg), apricots(1380mg) , potato chips(1000mg), dried mixed fruit(880mg), and potatoes(600mg), they all have more potassium than bananas do.

i think it may be, for you anyway.
your in 8th grade, and those costumes are all made for kids much much older.
plus if you go and a bunch of older highscool kids see you, you and youre friends will probably be "those 8th grade whores"
not saying your whores, but when kids in highschool see a bunch of middle school kids wearing that kinda stuff, its really just not respected at all, especially if you think we'll think youre cool.

because if you have to resort to this because you dont know, then your not ready.

dont leave him, just call off the wedding a bit and reconsider your options for a while.

if youre afraid that hell get mad and leave you if you do that, then hes not the right guy for you.

so either way, you find out something about yourself, or him.

Q: Alright, this is kinda crazy so bear with me. Just so you're not confused I am not an international student and this is my third year in highschool.
I've been in school for about a week now and ever since I've been back I've noticed that all the American guys completly ignore me and want nothing to do with me, even some of my guy friends don't wanna talk. However, a lot of the international kids (Asians and Italians-especially this one dude) won't stop looking at me. I'm a modest. quiet, keep to myself person, so please don't think I'm bragging about this. It really boogles my mind, I don't think I'm a model, but the attention I'm getting from certain Vietnamese and Italian guys is kinda looney. It's not like I mind it, I mean it makes me feel happy, but why are the American guys giving me the cold shoulder? Any thoughts?

its probably because you look like every other american girl in the US to those american guys.

but to foriegn guys you look more exotic because there arent alot of american girls living where theyre from.

and most guys like different looking girls, not different as in weird, but you get the jist. youre like fresh and new to them so theyre gonna give you attention and stare.

ok i'm starting school tomorrow, and now im like freaking out. i dont wanna go. im too scared. like we dont have buses because our levie failed. so im going with a friend. so thats good. for like the beginning. and then i know my way around the school kinda, so im not too worried about geting lost. i also just started as a freshie on last wednesday.
the switch from private, to public is kind of a big one. not because of the kids, but more of the classes. private schools are mostly smaller and theres less kids and stuff.
lunch in hughschool, there is no assigned seating, and nothin is alphabetized, so i dunno why your freaking out about your last names.

like the person below me said, just find someone you know, and sit with them, and dont be afraid to sit alone a couple days, its no big deal, someone you know will most likely come over adn sit with you if they see your alone.
seeing as its a big school, youll most likely know someone through one of your other friends, or from your neighborhood or something.

dont worry about it, your first day is really no big deal at all.

Q: OKay, over the summer you had to write a fiction story and make it believeable. Well through the summer I had a lot of Family reunions, driving place to place just random things and got really into it. Well this is going to be very confusing because I dont wanna give all the details.. im gay like that and well okay this girl has special powers, and ends up falling in love with her Gardian.. which isn't good. Well this whole new world is strange to her, and she ends up running into the wrong kind of people so her Gardian(David) saves her cuz hes awsome like that and ends up revelling to her that the Aunt&Uncle she thinks she's lived with her whole life were only in her life for a year. She had her memories erased and put fake ones in.. just random things that would make her believe shes lived with them her whole life. Well my book starts out when she doesnt remember David, shes paniking and ends up using her powers yayyy well the first book ends when shes joining like the bad people basicly ( The ones she ran into) because Elder(Davids Grandfather) and his counsel strip David of his like Gardian powers ands shes wickedd pissed and just joins Dogest. And in the second book you find out why they did it and where Elder and his counsel are. Well i was thinking maybe I should write like a first book where it shows her and David falling in love, and her memories being erased, and why and her going to live with her Aunt and Uncle. Than a book about her life there. But then like what order should it go in. Should it be memorie lost or should it be actually the first book I wrote than have that explain how and why her memorie was earsed..
Im not sure and Im not saposed to discuss it with people who are going to be in my class so anyhelp would be greatfully appreciated

i think you should put the fact that her memory was erased in teh beggining, but not explain why, or how.
then throughout the book give away little reasons and clues and stuff.
