My name is Devin Lindsey or Vinny as my sister calls me! I am 17 years old and go to Bethel Park High school. I loooove swimming along with dancing, singing, and playing softball. I also run varsity track with is alright i supose too.


My favorite colors are orange, pink, and blue. I love to be crazy and have a good time

I've had a job working for 15+ monthes so I can answer alot about that

and I know alot about relationships in general so I can be helpful with that sometimes

especially with parent child relationships


I am a very observant person and tend to know more and care about more than most my age


and I really believe in volunteering to help animals especially at shelters. Usually its not their fault that they have to live their and its usually horrible cercimstances that bring them there and I feel terrible that they can't speak for themselves and people are too caught up in spending like $500 on this cute little pure breed puppy from a breeder just into getting rich instead of giving one of these dogs another chance at life (there are usually a handful of dogs under a year old so the i want a puppy excuse doesn't work with me)

My baby is named Lainey Mae... we got her from a shelter about 2 hours away from us when she was 7 weeks old. she is now 2 years old and the center of our family. unfortunately someone was cruel enough to go down and drug up and shoot (but luckly not kill) most of the dogs plus rob the owner (just like someone did at the shelter where I volunteer) and its now shut down

Is it true that if you dont shower when you're sweaty or after a workout you get acne because the sweat clogs pores or something? j/w

well sorta.. it makes your face more oily which it return makes your pores clog.. as long as your face remains somewhat dry and it gets washed within a few hours you should be fine

Today in Life Skills, my school counselor told us girls "all 13-year-old boys care about is looks." (it's not a co-ed class) She also went on to say that 13-year-old boys only like girls with big boobs and a big ass. She said that they are very shallow, but the best thing for us to do is wait for them to grow up.

Is this really true? Do boys only notice boobs and butts on a girl and nothing else? It doesn't make me feel too good knowing that, because I certainly don't have a big butt and big boobs, and I'd like to have a boyfriend.

I think basically its true.. even in highschool half the guys are like that. just give them time and ignore them, but just because you dont have a big butt or boobs doesn't mean they won't date you.. just if you do they will give you the wrong kind of attention

well if you don't know them obviously you aren't ready and if he loves you back he will understand and wait till the time is right for you. Instead of going to the hotel maybe you can go out for a fancy dessert or something after prob instead of having sex. Its not the worst thing ever but it is not the best in any means

ok, if you read the back of a mountain dew bottle it says like alot of stuff about what its made of, and one of the things its made of is yellow 5, now i heard that yellow 5 kills sperm cells. but i also heard alot of other stuff that is suppoust to kill sperm cells that wasnt ture but i heard this is really really ture. so does yellow 5 kill sperm cells and makes it a less chance to get a girl preggy?

well it is true but you have to drink alot of mountain dew... prob atleast 5 bottles of it. and sperm lives in the body for a while. so you would have to drink the mountain dew about 2 weeks before you have sex.. its very complicated and really not worth your time

If you have an iPod nano that can hold 1,000 four minute songs, and you have 1,000 two minute songs, will your iPod let you continue adding more songs or will it stop at the 1,000th song?

you ipod will let you add songs till its full. now 1,000 four min songs is aprox. the max.. but not always the case. if you have enough space it will let you go over 1,000 songs but it may stop you before that if you go over its space limit (there are extra files in songs that wil take up more room for example songs downloaded from cds take up more room than songs from itunes or like limewire)

What is the difference between a walmart brand skateboard and a pro skateboard?

pro skateboards are better.. they are easier to do tricks on, better quality and better fit for skateboarding


walmart ones are made cheaply and arent ment for intense skateboarding.. most of them prob arent even tested for tricks and stuff.. they are just make as fast and cheapy as possible (they are just fine for riding but aren't ment to do tricks)

pro ones are ment to learn tricks and increase skill and are tailored to your exact needs (they are tested for efficency)

Ive totally forgotten how to save documents to floppy disk! how do i do it?

in microsoftword go to file save as then scroll down at the top menu to A: 3 1/2 floppy disk or whatever it is then name your file and press save

this isnt really a health question,but i didnt know what category to put it in.

i use playtex slimfit regulars.is a size up from that a lot bigger?because those ones dont last that long, because they are smaller.so, i was wondering if one size up is a lot bigger because one size up would be more absorbant, which would last longer.

well the next size up is regular i believe and its basically the same size (wel its bigger but it doesnt feel it). usually i cant tell the difference

use face bleach.. you can buy it almost anywhere (like grocery stores and beauty stores).. its fairly cheap and easy to do.. i usually use the face bleach on my stomach the only prob with it is that you have to rebleach every 2 weeks or so

well .. i have a lot of hair "down there". i cant get a bikini wax just because. is there a way to shave it off or do something else to get rid of it? when i shave it, i get bumps though and its irratatingn. anything will help! 5's for good answers.

Okay...so I was on this site and it had like how too's! IT was sooooo weird...they said that you can use an iron (the one you use to iron clothes and smooth out) to straighten your hair. They say u can't use it often (i wouldn't try it) but does it work?

it works very well but its a very bad idea.. that is like 10x the heat that you need on your hair and can burn it so bad that your hair will fall out.. i would say if you plan on doing it do it at most once a month!

okay well i was wondering if it hurt the first time you have sex.. i kno im not ready to do it but i was just curious. I dont kno if it wil hurt me because i dont know if i tore my "hymen"... i read on coolnurse.com that you can break your hymen by doing things such as horseback riding, inserting tampons, or while masturbating. i do all three of those examples... i use tampons whenever i get my period and i have been riding horses almost everyday since i was 6.. how do i kno that i have torn my hymen??? i was justtt wonderin

most people it does hurt.. but ive learned (im still a virgin but from classes) that it doesnt hurt because youve never done it it hurts because the guy normal isnt expirienced enough (college guys are less painful than highschool ones for the most part for example) unless you go to a gyno i dont think you can tell whether you tore your hymen or not but most likely you did although a tampon most likely would not break it unless you used one which was wayyyyy to big

hi all.

i'm getting my braces off in a month (and counting every day!). my ortho told me i should get wires placed on the back of my teeth to support and keep them straight for a while. is this normal and has anyone else out there have these on?

its a thin piece of wire that is glued on the BACK of your top and botton teeth. i'm getting the normal retainers and these wires are just extra support i guess. any info on these wires would be great (eg. does it affect anything... and i mean.. anything!)

i have that and i must say its sucks... if you can get a retainer on the bottom get that

the main reasons i dont like it is sometimes food gets stuck between your teeth and it hurts because the bar traps it there
and i got mine in the beginning of 7th grade and my ortho said if im lucky ill have it off my graduation senior year (he told me that about 2 monthes ago) and that is normal because i mean you can't wear it any dif. its stuck there and there isnt anything you can do


they arent noticeable and you really cant feel it but i just dont like having it so long and the feel of food getting stuck in there (although it doesnt get jammed in there very often at alL)


i would check out all of your options first.. if you have the option of just wearing a retainer for a few monthes do that.. my sister did that and it worked better for her (she went to a dif ortho) she got her braces off in october and doesnt ever have to wear her bottom retainer again (soo she wore it for like 3 monthes all the time then 3 monthes just at night)


but because you are older you may have to wear the retainer much longer (my sister is only 13) so as i said before check out all of your options and see what they say


i only have mine on the bottom though not the top

and its kinda more than a wire its much thicker on the edges and i would say its more of a bar

my cell phone contract ends in like 3 months and right now i dont have text messaging but if i do get a new phone and new contract would i be able to have text messaging or would i have to ask for it? and also are the cell phones cheaper?

most of the time you have to ask for it.. its an add on to the contract. i dont know if the phones are cheaper but to get a texting plan it will ne $5-$10 more and you can keep the same plan you have now and just add the nexting.. most of the time there is no plan with texting included, its an add on to whatever plan you want

I've gone to a public school my whole life. Now 7th grade is ending and im going on to 8th grade. My brother goes to a private school and i want to go there. But I'm afraid of leaving behind my friends. I have a much better chance of getting accepted because my brother goes, but my brother doesn't talk to his old friends much. One of my friends who switches school a lot told me that I should do whats best for me, not for my friends. But I'm not sure whats best for me. I want to go to private school to help me with college, but I dont want to stop being able to see my other friends cause i love them so much.

i mean if you have been friends with your friends this long they arent going to just ditch you! yuo can still see them out of school whenever you want


and private school may help you more for college (as long as its somewhat large and the school you go to now isnt)

talk to you brother about it and see what he thinks, also see how your parents think it is

because i dont know either school its hard to say whats better but i would switch if academic wise its better
