How old do you have to be to work at blockbuster?
I looked on the website but couldn't find an answer. If it helps I live in San Diego, CA.

You have to be 18 years old. Oh, and if you like video games all employees working at blockbuster/gamerush stores get free passes to get into e3.

From my boyfriend who is dangerously close to making a career out of being a Blockbuster employee:

Officially the hiring policy is that you must be over 16, however since Blockbuster rents R-rated movies they much prefer people to be over 18. So if it comes down to you and another person who is over eighteen, you will not get the job.

i would guess 18 because they have adult films there and you have to be 18 to watch them or whatever.. your only real way to find out is ask!

Mackenzie answered Tuesday April 25 2006, 8:44 am:
My brother is a manager at Blockbuster. He says all employees must be 18, no exceptions. And their reasoning for that varies from needeing someone who can work more flexible hours (since high school is usually no longer in the way) to being able to press bigger/different charges if you were to ever shoplift.
