I have been married for 16 years with 2 wonderful daughters. During our marriage my wife started to become slack with her duties and obligations as a wife and mother. These were all of her agreement, and some due to her own choices proir to and during the marriage. I have tried to approach the subject with concern and respect, usually ending in conflict. Lately she has decided to do whatever she wants when she wants, even it means neglect to myself or our children. I try to understand her feelings and viewpoints, for myself and for my daughters.(They are well aware of her laziness and ask often.) I would have NEVER married her if I knew she was this way. I feel that life is too short to spend with the wrong person. We are growing apart each day, I personally never expected much from this world as far as romance, I've never been the ladies' man. But I would like to provide a better life for my children, I don't think this is a good example of relationships/ marriage for them to observe. If it was just her and I, I would drop her like a bad habit and never speak to her again. Any advice or suggestions?

if you are living together, and your not happy your children know this. you should just sit down and as a family and talk it out, and if she still dont do what she is supposed to, as u said life is too short, and seperate if you have to, it will b the best for you n the end and the kids. because right now the relationship is hard on the kids. either way it will b hard, just decide which way, will be better for the kids, an think of yourself too, and if your unhappy it will show, and no one will b happy.

I recently got married and ny husband has been emotionally and financially abusive. For example...I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome and he has not been helping me out. He says he doesn't care how I feel and to suck it up. He does not pay the bills and we have shut off notices for the electric, phone, and cable. Yet he won't allow me to take over the finances. He goes out and spend the money on himself and playing poker. He took a trip ti Atlantic City without me and spent all of our money. We aren't able to buy groceries even. He yells at me to get a job. But with my medical conditions I am not able to work plus with having three kids under 5 years old...I wouldn't even make enough to cover daycare. He constantly calls me names and criticizes me, underminds my parenting in front of the kids, gets in my face and acts like he is going to hit me just to make me flinch. He calls me fat and ugly and worthless and thats just the nicer words he uses. Why did he marry me if he thought those things about me? I can't live like this any more! I am severly depressed and I am gonna end up in the hospital soon if he doesn't start to help out more with the kids. Just recently he took my wedding ring and engagment ring and throw them out the car window and told me he wants a divorce. We've only been married for a month and a half! What do I do!? (link)

you dont need that abuse, there is too many places you can go to for help. you dont let a man treat you that way, u take your kids and dont look back, walk away with your dignity, b/c ur kids are going to see how he acts and end up just like him and you dont want them to be like that when they get older. do you have any family members you can go to for help. you can b on welfare for a while if that is what it takes just to help you get on your feet. just divorce him and get out..of that relationship

awww. well maybe you should talk to him about this right before he goes to sleep. tell him how u really feel.tell him that you dont feel like your married b/c ya dont spend time together, and ya feel like roommates. ask him if he can or wants to change his scedule..see if you cant work it out, and if not, then i dont know

well, it will hurt for a while, but you eventually have to get used to the fact that ur not together anymore. maybe when ya hang out as friends, ya will see that u only love each other as friends, and nothing more. well just hang out a few times without any touching alot and kissing, jus as if you was hangin out with friends, and see what happens

HMM.. this is a hard question,also. honestly, girls get out of relationships by saying " i need to find myself" which usually means, that the girl is affraid to get too serious in a relationship. but, if she loves you, and you love her, and ya show that type of affection to each other, than ya should get back together. Just dont try to push her, or keep nagging her on about getting back with her, just respect her wishes and show her that u can accept what she has said, and that will make her get with you sooner (Hopefully):)

that is kinda a hard question. i knew someone who used to cut herself, and no one got her the help she needed, and she eventually killed herself. so even if you did realize that it was stupid, u should seek help b/c you could easily do it again. so you need someone to talk about your problems with so this situation doesnt get outta hand. tell either a doctor, or a parent, and they should get you the help you need.:) i hope i helped you

We live in a duplex for 2 years now, are landlord is a good friend of ours. Recently he let his daughter move who is 20 years old. Her boyfriend lives there too. Everyday there is someone new moving in there with them. It has turned into a flop house. Up all night banging on the walls, loud music, up all night. Doing drugs on the porch and in the driveway. We told the landlord about this, and he is in denile. He told us if we didn't like the situation, we gotta do what's best, why should we move, I like it here, any suggestions help. Lately I've been getting on my parents nerves. I can tell cause they're always mad at me. They say it's because I have a really bad attitude. Even though I really don't think I do. I usually have a great attitude about things. I've also been really into acting and every time I talk about it they just ignore me so I get mad. Just the other day he told me I did something when I knew I didn't so I calmly told him I didn't and he told me I was lying so I got mad. He told me to get rid of my attitude so I said no because he called me a liar. Then He got up in my face and just started screaming at me. I'm really confused right now and don't know what to do. Could any one give me some advive.

lol, i have had the same problem too when i as 14-16.. but see, sometimes, kids your age, do have an attitude, and just dont realize it. sometimes its just the tone of your voice that could come off as an attitude. maybe, you shouldnt get smart and say no when he tells u to get rid of your attitude, and you shouldnt say no to your parents anyways. maybe, u should just, calmly sit down, and talk to your parents, and ask them what makes them think you have an attitude, and then go from there.
