Question Posted Wednesday June 23 2004, 11:53 pm

We live in a duplex for 2 years now, are landlord is a good friend of ours. Recently he let his daughter move who is 20 years old. Her boyfriend lives there too. Everyday there is someone new moving in there with them. It has turned into a flop house. Up all night banging on the walls, loud music, up all night. Doing drugs on the porch and in the driveway. We told the landlord about this, and he is in denile. He told us if we didn't like the situation, we gotta do what's best, why should we move, I like it here, any suggestions help. Too much riff raff. Can the police do anything? Or is it a lost cause.

Call the police they might be able to solve your problems! if thats doesnt help out maybe you need to find another nice spot! Or maybe theres another duplex you would move into that is in the same area! hope you figure things out!

Yes, you can call the police for:
1: Distupance of the peace
2: Drugs!!!!!!!

Drugs are against the law. If you know of people using them (espesially in the same building you live in) it is your duty to report them.
If your not ready to call the police, at least talk to your landlord again and tell him if he doesn't take of of the problem you will be talking to the police. Maybe that way he will take you more seriously.

The police can do alot about this case. Tell the police that you have seen this that they are drugs being dealed. And they can watch the house and give them a ticket a fine or even get arrested. You shouldnt have to move if you guys arnt the ones doing anything. Or you could take your neighbors to court for it. And maybe win the case but that costs moocho money. Well im sorry i cant help much but what ever choice good luck! hope iv helped a little. Dont be afraid to write back.
