Can long distance relationships really work? i went up 2 CT to visit some family up there, and i met this really cute guy, my aunt's neighbor, and he's my age, and he's really funny and great, but he lives sooo far away. i only go up there like 3 times a year, and ti's not close enough to drive, but i reall y like him. Can this work out?

Talk to him. If you both like each other, it can work. Maybe he can come down and see you sometime. and if it doesn't work, you guys can still be friends

Okay so yes I have winter formal coming up on Saturday night. I got my dress and shoes, then I realized: I have no freakin clue what to do with my make up. My normal style of make up would look horrid with it. I have light blonde hair, blue green eyes and fair skin. My dress is an offwhite color with gold stitching in the top. Anyone have any ideas?

Definitly go with gold colors, because they'll accent your dress. Maybe a little foundation that could darken you skin, but just a little, not too much. do like gold nail polish, and either light yellow-green eyeshadow, or gold. maybe a little blush, or glitter or sumthin. just try to go w/ your look, and however u r doing ur hair. Just stay away from him, or u'll want to get back 2gether, and that wont help you at all. hang with ur friends, and become closer with them. try to find the silver lining!

Well, i used to think i was popular, not really populer, like the snobby kind, but i had a lot of friends. Now, i feel like i have very few, and most of them get on my nerves alot and they get annoying really fast, and bug me ALOT, and i get mad at them alot too. When i make new friends, i start to like them better, cuz they dont seem as annoying, you know? Even my good friends make me want to scream at them because they seem so stupid, or just dont get it. wat should i do?

You need to calm down, and maybe you just need a break from your friends, some you time. its ok to make new friends too. Maybe you shouldn't be popular if you cant stand the people hanging around you. you and your friends were just drifting apart. it happens.

I just moved to Florida from califorina a week ago,i now live with my aunt and uncle and 2 cousinns,AMANDA 17,JAACOB 15...I'M 15 turning 16 pretty soon...My cousin AMANDA is verry rude and annoying and just really a B*&%$...(i dont like to curse)anyhow from the day i got off the plain she wasnt all that nice to me...so over this week i have been hanging out with JACOB and i try to ignore her and stay out of her way...this makes me unhappy because we are family and we should be able to get along...i understand that maybe it is because i am getting all the attention but she has a job and she goes to school and becccause she is n advanced eveything she gets tons of homework and i hardly see her but when i do i wish i hadent...she is not verry social because of family issues...my question is this, is therre anything i can do so i dont have to walk on eggshels when i am arouund her???

Just try to spend some time with her, even if its just like getting a drive somewhere if you dont have a car, or ask her if she wants to see a movie 2gether, or somthing sister-ly, and maybe if u guys talk, then itll be better.

Well, wear a color that looks good on you. Pink usually looks good on dark skin. Light colors are really pretty. Either do your hair in little braids or an up-do, or go to a hair salon, and they'll make it look really good. Hope this helped.

I have this one friend, but she gets really annoying sometimes. She'll talk on and on, and i never get a chance to say anything, and im not the quiet type. She always dominates the conversation, and is always being bossy. Most of my friends think she's annoying too, but i dont want her to have no friends, but also dont want to be her friend out of pitty. what can i do?

When she's done talking, just be like, oh, hey, i wanted to say somethin, or be like, shhhh, im trying to do sumthin..., or if u dont wanna hurt anyone's feelings, tune her out and just nod alot. if none of that works, just tell her she talk too much, but say it nicely. Hope it works out!

I have been friends with this guy since the end of October.. We talk a lot, and at first I didn't like him "that way" but every day I begin to like him more and more. He has told people that he doesn't know who he likes, or he likes 3 people and I'm at the top of the list. My friend told him that I like him (with my permission) and he sort of just blushed and wouldn't answer any of her questions. If I am at the top of his list, and he knows I like him, why doesn't he just ask me out? What should I say to him? Or should I just wait patiently for him to make a move? Thanks

He's probably just embarassed, because he found out that you like him, and he likes you back. Give him some time. If he doesn''t say anything, have a friend ask him if he still likes u, or ask him out urself, unless hes avoiding u. if he is, then dont, cuz sumthins up. Hope this helped!

My friend and i are both in theater arts, and she got the role i wanted, and i tried not to be jealous of her, but i am. i know she's really good, and deserves the part, but i get mad at her whenever she brings it up, because shes almost bragging. I just really wanted the part, and now she thinks im mad at her, and i guess i kinda am. wat can i do?

All you can try to do is get over it. sry if it sounds harsh, but tough cookies!LOL. Just talk to her about it. There will be other roles, and other plays. Ask her not to bring it up because it makes you feel bad, and if shes really ur friend, she probably wont. And its not her fault for getting the part. just work harder next time. it might not even be you. it could just be that she had the right "look". Hope i helped!

i wrote a while ago i need to know how to get his atention even though i only met him once and havnt talked to him since. without all my friends trying to hook me up with him. should i talk to him on aim or when i see him. if i do go up to him what do i say to him. cause i get really nervous around guys that i dont know that good especially if i have a crysh on them. help!

Either start smiling at him, then say hey alot, and then move up to complete sentences, or, what i'd do is talk to him on aim. Be like hey, my friend gave me ur screen name, and then chat with him, it takes off a lot of pressure if u dont have 2 see his face. once you get to know him, it'll be easy. Hope i helped!

If you really like him, go for it! Just because he's not smart doesn't make him not good enough. If your friends get mad at you for going out with him, then they aren't real friends. Real friends are friends with you based on who u r, not who ur dating. Hope i helped!

Last week my sister was talking to this guy that I like and he also likes me back. She told him that I would go out with him if he just asked (which is true) and he was kind of sad and told her not until we are at the same school. Well, if he's older than you, he might just want you to wait untill you are in the same skool. like, 4 example, if he's in high skool, and your in jr high, he might think its embarassing, but a high skooler dating a high skooler might not be so hard for him to take. do u know what i mean? but he shouldnt let that come btween u guys.

okay so im a 16 year old girl who likes a 14 year old boy, I honestly dont care what people think about it, but thats not myproblem. my problem is, i like him a lot, and hes a really friendly guy and i met him not too long ago so yeah but i cant tell if theres anything there yet, like, im friends with his sister, and ill call for his sister to talk to her, and the guy i like will pick up and talk to me too...and i asked his sister if he always does that, as in pick up the phone and talk to her friends at the same time she is, and she said, hes NEVER done that before, so i thought that was really cool, and so yeah, i went to a party at his house yesterday a christmas party and everyyyyone was there, which was a lot of fun, so we were hanging out, and i told his sister that i was gonna put my jacket in her room, so i ran upstairs and 10 girls followed me, and it was really crowded up stairs like REALLY crowded, and then adults came up too so i was like stuck, and my someone opens the guy that i likes door, and he kinda looks out and sees me and then the door closed, you hear him run and open the door and he goes "JENN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and i was like HEYYY! and then we chilled for the ENTIRE night, we were up in his room just laughing at everything possible he was shooting his air soft gun at kids that botherd him we were just being dumb lol, then we went up to his attic thing where he has this HUGE car racing thing set up and everyone was up there, and me and him were talking and he kept on looking at me, a lot, he was just looking at me and stuff, and yeah, so thats how it was the whole night, and then at the very end we were on his trampoline and i had to go so i jumped off cuz he was talking to everyone, and he goes "JENN!" and jumps off and hugs me and then he was like "ill probably see you in a year" and im like " DUDE...SLEEPOVER REMEMBER?!" and he was like OH YEAH! and so yeah, cuz were ALL having a sleep over like 30538304 of us together so itll be a lot of fun but what my question is, is do you think there is ANYTHING there?? because i mean i know you guys dont know him or me, but hes 14 and im 16. Well, do you really like him like him, or his he really more to you like a good guy friends/ little bro? My friend is in a situation like that. She found out that one of her best guy buds is crushing on her, but she doesn't feel the same way, and she didn't know what to do. It sound like he likes you, but do you like him back? The way you keep bringing up the age diff. and stuff makes it sound like you aren't sure. You should think about that.

hi, im 13 and me and my best friend just had a fight,
i've known her 11 years, she was my first friend when
i moved here, and we've been really good friends since
then and more recently best friends, lets just call
this friend Christina malone. We just had a big fight.
and i mean this truthfuly we never fight. it all
started when christina Elissa and my other friend
jennipher were hanging out. jennipher told me she thot
elissa was being a bitch, but in reality she was
covering up for elissa and christina, and before when
jennipher said that i had been mad at elissa and
christina. cuz they were just ignoring me and blowing
me off and it annoyed me so much and i finally felt
like someone understood what i meant. so i confided in
to telling jennipher. later the next day tho i found
out she had been covering up for them. and i just
broke down. Elissa Christina and Jennipher are all my
bestfriends. I felt so betrayed, and hurt. And they
were amdd at me. And Elissa and Christina had a right
too, but they didnt understand how hurt i was before
because i felt they were ignoring me. i felt ditched.
When Jenn said that i didnt mean to say all of those
things like that. But i couldnt take it, bcuz it was
the first time i told somebody. But later on that day
me lyss and jen made peace again. But the one person
who i knew the longest, the one i was very close with,
who was like the other half of me, didnt even hear me
out. And she was madd. But what i told jennipher was
that Christina had changed, change is good, but
christina had changed. Towards me. Before all of us
bestfriends and undivided, but now its just
differernt, i Didnt know who Christina was any more, i
only knew teena. I miss Christina. I feel empty. Like
i dont know what to do. this may be an exaderation but
i feel so lost with out her. In homebase today she
wouldnt even talk to me, i tried to help her by
telling some1 might try to harm her but she ignored
me. she would even look at me. i was madd too, but
mostly hurt.

I know how you feel. When i thought i was losing my best friend, i was down in the dumps for awhile. But then i talked to her, and we worked it out. It had been just a big misunderstanding. Maybe it's the same in your case. You need to talk to her. Maybe just spend some quality time 2gether, just the 2 of you. She might feel that you've changed, or sumthin like that. Hello everyone! My class is writing letters to men and women over seas who will not be coming home for Christmas. Except in your letter you cannot talk in offense to President Bush or opposing the war. I really do not see a reason why war should be mentioned in the letter. I'm anti-war but it does not matter. The fact is that these men and women will not be home for Christmas and that is depressing. I am an okay writter and I write decent letters. I really thought it would be eassier but I found myself making a million drafts, not being sure what to write in the letter. I will not know who will receive the letter... it is in general. If anybody has any ideas on what would be something to write in the letter please, please help me. Besides wishing them a Happy Christmas and Merry New Year. Thank you very much for your time and consideration!

Tell them that you are really proud that they'd stand up for our country and stuff like that. I mean, i'm anti-war too, but they are really brave to go and do what they do. Just think about what you'd want to read if you were in their position. Hope I helped!

Answer: Time. It takes a while, and you'll probably miss him alot. But you need to move on, maybe find someone else to be with. Otherwise, just kinda avoid him for awhile.

ok i have no idea what to get my boyfriend for christmas. he is a skateboarder and he likes to play the drums. hes not like punk or anything hes just normal. (he doesnt like hott topic) his friend says i should get him drumsticks because he is getting a new drumset for christmas, but i dont really want to get him drumsticks. i have no idea. plz help me

Maybe you could get him a new skateboard. I know how to skateboard, but dont know that much about it, so there might be a certain kind he likes that you could get him. If not, you could get him passes or tickets or sumthin to one of those skate place that has all the ramps and stuff. If that doesn't sound good, you could like make something for him, like a shirt, and do an iron-on on it. Or if he likes a certain band that you know of, you could get him the CD. Hope I helped!
