I am a Wiccan, and I believe (just not completely). I have I Wiccan spell book, and it says I need to completely believe in it, before it will work. I was taught not to believe in magic, but I have started to believe (but not enough to get the spells to work). Can anyone help me believe completely?
I highly recommend you read this book about Wicca:

(download button near the bottom)
It's the best, most unbiased, and most accurate overview of Wicca I know.
Most "spell books" you find in libraries and book stores are entirely fictional. They take the most appealing elements of Wicca, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, etc. and mash it all together. These "new age" Wiccan books are terribly far from what Wicca originally was.

Okay, I've been reading a book on the Wiccan religon and have been thinking of converting to it. However, my mom is very Catholic and thinks that Wicca is evil. I don't know how to tell her I want to be wiccan without her getting mad at me. What should I do?
13/f
Don't tell her. She'll worry about you going to hell. It's best if she doesn't know, for everyone involved.
Also, I've found that the more you learn about a religion, the less you like it. If you later decide that you don't like Wicca, it'll be best if no one ever knew you did.
I highly recommend you read this book about Wicca:

ive been told that the problem of mixing different sizes of ram is no longer an issue as it used to be. when did that start? i have 512mb of ddr sdram (pc 2700) on my desktom and want to upgrade. would i be ok with just plugging in a 1gig chip (i have the slot)
That's fine. Make sure you get pc 2700. If your computer is 3+ years old, your motherboard might not support that much RAM, though. Check the specs.
If you're buying new RAM sticks and your motherboard supports it, I recommend you buy two 1GB sticks and give away/save the 512MB. Two sticks of the same size work better. Each GB is around $35, so it's not a huge jump in price. Now is a great time to buy memory, it's crazy cheap.

how can i put a video on youtube that like i didnt make. like for example, if i wanted to put a jonas brothers music video on it (because its a jobro fan thing) how do i get the video so i can like upload it? its kind of hard to explain, but if anyone knows how, please let me know!
thanks(:
The music video is probably already on Youtube. If you want to re-upload it for your own account, use zamzar to download it (avi or wmv for step 2):
http://zamzar.com/url/
Then upload it normally.
You could probably also download it from a P2P network (like limewire). If you have trouble finding it, contact me.
If the music video is shown on TV, you can use a TV tuner card to receive video from your TV, or you could get a DVD player+burner to burn the video to a disk.
If you have a DVD of the music video and your computer has a DVD player, then you can rip the video using handbrake:
http://handbrake.fr/
If you bought the video from a store, then it's probably copy protected. You can remove this protection using dvd43:
http://www.dvd43.com/
Alternatively, if that combination doesn't work, just use DVDx (without dvd43):
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdx/
Music videos are promotional materials, so there is no legal problem with doing this (as far as I know). Usually it is illegal to upload entire copyrighted works to youtube.

you know sites like youtube they have a media player right. my problem with it is my computers volume is up but the volume on it like if i play music is not loud enough although i did try to make adjustments on it. i turned the volume on high and made the computers low so it wont be so loud. is that normal or do i need to fix something.
That's normal. Windows Vista has a new feature which allows you to change the volume of individual applications. Click the speaker in the lower right, then "mixer".

I was just wondering if you knew how to get free music videos for the 3rd generation iPod. I would be awesome if you could give me a site where I don't have to pay at all. It would also be nice if you didn't have to install anything.
Hope you can help,
Tots
I don't know of any sites specifically for that. However, you should be able to put youtube videos on any video-capable ipod. There are tons of music videos there. Use zamzar:
http://zamzar.com/url/
In step 2, choose "ipod" under "video".
Step 1 needs to be a youtube URL like this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19vDv_kNRhc
Step 3 needs to be a real email address. They'll email you a download link in around 10 minutes. Zamzar will not spam you.

is there a way to turn on a windows xp computer home edition without having it restart again. because this is what happens. i turn on the computer then before it gets me to the start menu. the title page shows up then all this image and it takes like 1 minute for all of it to be over. so what i want is to turn it on and i can start working already.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/mobility/getstarted/hibernate.mspx
Scroll down to "To manually put your computer into hibernation" and follow the instructions.
"Hibernate" puts all of the information in RAM onto the disk, then turns off the computer. The computer uses no power when hibernating, and you can unplug it. Try it if you don't understand exactly what it does.
When you wake a computer from hibernation, it will take around 30 seconds instead of 3 minutes to be ready and all of the programs that you had open will be as they were when you left it.
If you prefer not to use hibernation, you can shorten the boot time by following my guide here:
http://www.advicenators.com/talkaboutmetopic.php?t=223&userboard_id=38985
After following that guide, use Microsoft BootVis:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/BootVis.shtml
Go to file -> new trace -> boot and drivers -> ok -> reboot. Then do nothing until BootVis starts up again. Then go to tools -> optimize. Your boot times will now be up to 3x faster.
It is critically important that you don't use any sort of rescue CD or OS-on-a-disk while windows is hibernating. It will totally ruin everything. Also, BootVis won't and shouldn't run on anything other than XP; don't try to use it on Vista.

I have the Zayle virus on my C drive and probably the usb drives as well... I have looked online how to get rid of it and it says to look in the tsk manager to find crsvc.exe and autorun.inf. The problem is, my three other antiviruses have already taken care of those (AVG, spysweeper, and panda). So now the only thing is my computer is running sooooooooooo slowly, and when I right click on the C drive instead of "open" it just says "zayle" Anyone know what I can do??? I have had it for like 6 weeks now.
Autorun.inf was not deleted or the problem would be gone. Follow these instructions:
http://hrivera99.blogspot.com/2007/11/zayle-zavher.html
The Zayle virus does not slow down your computer much. That's caused by a different problem. Read my guide here:

ok so instead of having a SMART computer that warns you AS SOON AS IT SPOTS THE TINIEST VIRUS, my computer just decided to tell me the other day that i have 2,989 VIRUS'S ON IT.
its making it really difficult to type, do anything online, or just anything general. this laptop is now basically useless unless i find a way to get these damn virus's off of it. problem is, my family is kind of tight on money right now? and so i dont want to wait 5 days for some cheap software to come in the mail. i tried restoring it, putting up a firewall, and installing this antivirus thing, but nothing works.
so my question is this: does anyone know of any good antivirus program that i can download for free online? much appreciated.
Whatever told you that you have 2989 viruses is actually a virus itself. They want you to buy their useless "antivirus" product.
Follow my guide here:
http://www.advicenators.com/talkaboutmetopic.php?t=333&userboard_id=38985
If that doesn't work, post at a malware removal forum:
Follow their instructions exactly.
Here's my comparison of free antivirus applications:

I recommend Avast for newer computers and AntiVir for older computers.

I got a new laptop for school and i love it. The only problem is that it has vista on it, which is kind of annoying. There are some settings i would like to change, but cant find how to do it. For example, when you download something, a box pops up and says "We need your permission to continue" or something and it happens again. Its like yeah, that's why i downloaded it. It's just annoying. How do i change that and other vista settings?
thank you
**The procedure for disabling download security warnings are exactly the same as XP, and Googling "User Account Control" gives you endless instructions on disabling UAC. If you were unable to find these instructions, then I am certain you won't be able to tell the difference between a virus and an MP3, which these features are designed to help you with.
I don't mean to suggest that you shouldn't disable these options if you want them disabled, just that you should be aware of the risk and backup your data. I, myself, debated a bit before disabling UAC, and I haven't disabled download security warnings.**
To disable all download security warnings ("Are you sure you want to run this software"), go to start -> control panel -> classic view (left) -> internet options -> security tab (top) -> custom level (bottom) -> scroll to miscellaneous (halfway through), and then to "launching applications and unsafe files" -> click "enable (not secure)" -> click ok -> click yes/allow/ok. Done.
To disable User Account Control ("Windows needs your permission to continue"), go to start -> control panel -> classic view (left) -> user accounts -> turn user account control on or off ( bottom) -> uncheck the box -> click ok -> restart your computer at your convenience. Done.
It's not wise to disable either option. If you don't know how to disable these options, you shouldn't have them disabled. The prompts aren't for your annoyance, they are there to protect you.

once you download a music torrent then how do you download the music do u stick to that site or do you have to go to a different one?
Here's my bittorrent guide:
http://www.advicenators.com/talkaboutmetopic.php?t=94&userboard_id=38985
Alternatively, you can use bitlet:
http://www.bitlet.org/
Then you don't have to install a program. "Torrent metafile URL" is the http: URL to the .torrent file.

what does it mean when makeup does testss on animals
is it a good or bad thing
and why
Would you rather they not test it at all, so that when you use it you go blind? Or do you want them to pay poor people $5 to rub a substance with unknown effects in their eyes? Animal testing is the only moral option.

is there any way to turn a song into an instrumental without recording it again?
Here's a free program that removes vocals:
http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/audio/vremover.htm
And here's how to do it with Audacity:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqXiKYG3J7M
All vocal removers use the same method. If the links above don't work or they don't remove all of the vocals, then it's impossible to remove the vocals without recording it again.
Read my answer here to learn how those methods work:

How can I get photo shop on my computer? I mean can you get it off the internet, if so what web page.
Help please
It's $600. You can get it here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/family/?promoid=BPDEK
Photoshop is for professionals. That's why it's so expensive. A regular person doesn't need Photoshop.
Everyone you know with Photoshop either payed the ridiculous amount of money for it or they downloaded it illegally (which I can not explain here). There is no way to freely download Photoshop legally.
Read my answer here for a list of free software similar to Photoshop:

Paint.net is probably all you need.

I'm making a movie using Windows Movie Maker.
I have an MP3 file that I'm using for music, and when it's in a file folder, it says the length in 5:01 (same when I play it on iTunes). But when I import it to Windows Movie Maker, the file is 9:30! I don't understand what the problem is. When I put the file in my movie, I can't trim it to 5:01 because it cuts out a lot of the song. It's like they added in another chorus or something. It's so weird.
And also, if I play the song in the movie from the very beginning, it's normal and ends when it's supposed to (at 5:01). But, if I play it from the middle or something (for editing purposes) it cuts out at that weird place.
Help please! I really don't know what's going on with it...
**Click "browse" to upload your file. In step 2, choose "wma". In step 3, put in your email address. They'll send you a download link in 10 minutes or so.**
Convert it to wma using zamzar:
http://zamzar.com/
That'll probably fix it. If not, get a different version of the mp3.

I'm thinking of buying an ipod. I want it mostly for working out, to try to get me motivated and everything. I want something small, and everything I'm finding is big and bulky. I'd maybe like to be able to have videos on there, too, but it doesn't have to. I don't want to spend a fortune on it, incase I don't use it enough. Any suggestions as to what kind I should get?
I've heard good things about SanDisk MP3 players. They're cheaper than iPods and very functional.
Here are MP3 players on Newegg, ranked by user rating:

well actully the one with the intel prcessor is 629 and the one with the and is 699.
I still recommend the AMD. It's a bit better. Like I said, I would continue to recommend it until the Intel went to $550.

ok idk which one of these is better. like whats the real differnce i realze that the processor is different but other than that idk whats differnt about htese two. not that i really understand the whole processor thing either...i just really need a laptop for school and pictures and music. thankyou much
1) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8907944&type=product&id=1213046785626
2) http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/StaplesProductDisplay?storeId=10001&jspStoreDir=Staples&productId=232799&cmSearchKeyword=DV2910US&fromUrl=home&cmArea=SEARCH&catalogId=10051&langId=-1
The first one is better. It's cheaper and faster.
There are two major differences. The first one has a faster processor speed and high-quality integrated graphics. If the second one had been $550 instead of $820, I would have recommended that one because both are acceptably good for your use. The second one is not in any way better than the first, at all.

OK, so I am in the process of installing LimeWire on my computer. I heard you can get music off of it. There are a fewww songs I want that aren't available on iTunes so how would I use Limewire for that? Do you have to pay for the songs?
If not, isn't that illegal?
But, if you do have to pay, how do you go about that?
Tell me anything you think is important. Thanks!
Downloading things that you would normally have to pay for is illegal. Limewire itself is not. Buying the PRO version doesn't make downloading things legal.
It is very unlikely you will get caught downloading things illegally. Hundreds of thousands of people are not caught for every person who is. Don't worry too much about it. Your chance of getting caught is reduced if you keep Limewire running as little as possible, but the network works better when more people have Limewire running.
When you download things, you're downloading from other peoples' computers. The downloads are therefore not guaranteed to be safe, real, or virus-free. If you're not stupid, though, you will not ever get viruses. Here's my guide on not being stupid:
http://www.advicenators.com/talkaboutmetopic.php?t=645&userboard_id=38985
Running Limewire does not allow people to download arbitrary files on your computer. They can only download files which are in your shared folders. When you first install Limewire, nothing is in your shared folders. By default, everything you download is put in shared folders so that other people can download them from you.
Just keeping Limewire running without downloading anything will never give you viruses. You must actually download the viruses to be infected by them.
