If the animal has a reaction, then they obviously cannot sell it to someone. They could get sued. It's up to you whether or not animal testing is a good or bad thing. Whether it's a good or bad thing is up to you to decide. There are pros and cons.
theymos answered Tuesday July 29 2008, 2:23 pm: Would you rather they not test it at all, so that when you use it you go blind? Or do you want them to pay poor people $5 to rub a substance with unknown effects in their eyes? Animal testing is the only moral option. [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
ohsnapxxiloveyou answered Tuesday July 29 2008, 9:57 am: When some says they test makeup on animals, they mean they LITERALLY put it on the animals, to see if there are any rashes, or side effects of the products in the make-up. It's a horrible things to do because there ARE ways of testing makeup without putting it on animals, they're completely defensive, and it's a cruel thing to do. Most of the time it's even harmful to the animals. Some of they're testing is even to put the animals through pain, and distress.
