First, let me preface this by saying that this is going to a bit long and that I'm not highly religious. I always believed that if you lived your life morally and right, God or the cosmos or what have you, would reward you in a way. You would be able to affect people's lives by the way that you live.
So I've lived my life well- I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, engage in pre-marital sex, am always kind, and work hard helping others, however, I'm losing my faith that its all meaningful. It seems to me that people in general are becoming too superficial. There is no more great search for knowledge and truth and TRUE beuty. People don't trust people anymore- always thinking the worst ulterior motive, even when there is none. I feel like I'm fighting a dying battle to keep a little bit of innocence and purity. Am I just being naive thinking that if I keep living my life the way I am, will "reward" me in the end? Am I the only one who feels like this? Am I the only one who thinks that we're not progressing but rather giving in to our most carnal urges? I'm losing faith and I know eventually all the people I help will feel it by the way I treat them. Your input would be appreciated.
Whether or not there is a reward waiting in the afterlife, you will get one here. Living an essentially good life is a reward all in itself. Just by living that, you have proven to yourself that you are better than most others. You don't give in to impulses and you keep control. I am very pessimistic, and the first to say that our society as a collective whole is nothing but a bunch of fucking morons. You, my friend, are an exception.
Don't worry about what happens after you die. No matter how much soul searching you do, you'll never know the answer until you actually die. Just know that you're leading a good life now, and in the end, that's all that matters.

Well, the phone book ought to have some listings in the yellow pages. (Or whatever the British equivalent is.) Look under "Martial Arts" or "Fitness". I'm sure you can do some searches over the internet in your area for these types of businesses. Most cities have a web page listing of the majority of their businesses. Just look for the right category.
Tae Kwon Do is mostly about kicking. It's more of an offensive art. For self-defense, something like Aikido or Judo is appropriate. I believe Aikido is purely defensive, and Judo is the art of using an opponent's strength against them (as in, using their momentum from a punch to make them flip themselves over.)
Just remember, always stretch, and practice is key!

I think I have a problem with sleeping, for about 4 months now, I can't get to sleep until about 2-3am, even on school nights. I'm always tired in the day at school, and I find it difficult to concentrate in lessons because I keep wishing the time would go faster so I can go home to bed. Because after school, when I get home, I go to bed at about 4pm and then wake up to do my homework at 8pm. I'm wide awake after then so I can't sleep until 3am. I've tried staying awake after school, but I was still wide awake until 3am. I can't keep not sleeping after school because I'm too tired to do homework when I get home, and if I don't do my homework I'll get loads of detentions. My mum thinks I should go to the doctors, but I'm refusing, because I'm terrified that they'll do a blood test on me, the thought makes me feel sick. How can I get into a normal sleeping pattern without going to the doctors, and if I have to go to the doc's, am I allowed to refuse to have a blood test? Thanks =]
Sleeping pills are a bad idea here. Most tranqulizers keep you from having the kind of sleep you need, which is REM (Rapid Eye Movement). They stop you from having dreams, so you're essentially having a "dead sleep" - A sleep where you don't get rested as much.
Sleeping for hours after school affects your sleep habits. A healthy nap should not last longer than 45 minutes. Napping for more than 2 hours is actually more harmful than helpful. Your internal clock has gotten used to this and that is why you cannot sleep when you really need to.
So, after school, only sleep for about an hour, and go to bed at a decent time. It will take a while for your body to adjust, but eventually you'll fall back into a normal sleeping habit.

Does any1 know how to get rid of some of the website listings under the URL place on your home page? This is kinda hard to explain but on your homepage there's the bar for typing in the webstite you want to go to, then there's an arrow on the right end, which u can click to show all the websties you've visited recently, well how do you get it to not show some of those? thanks for any help!
Other than the methods listed already, this works for me too, on Windows ME: Click on 'Start', then 'Settings', then 'Taskbar and Start Menu'. Click the 'Advanced' tab, and then next to where it says "To remove records of recently accessed documents, programs, and Web sites, click Clear.", do what it says and click it.
Works on my version of Windows anyhow.

On any form of interaction on the internet, be it a site, chat room, message board, or whatever, there will always be trolls. Fact of life, dude. You either ignore them or run along with them, but you do not oppose them. It's a waste of time and effort and makes both of you look dumb.
To suspend or expel would be a neverending process. The majority of mods can only ban for 5 days, and guess what happens 5 days later? At any rate, in the extreme cases of profanity and offensive behavior, bans are placed. We deal with the worst, and there is nothing more we can do other than that.
