yupp. normal as can be. you're probably starting puberty. like, when you're around girls, you start to notice sexual feelings towards them. and your penis getting hard is called an erection, it just means that something you see or feel or whatever is making you excited/aroused. i don't know about the part where you said that it hurts...i didn't know erections were supposed to hurt - or COULD hurt for that matter. but maybe its just a new feeling...but you'll get used to it.

Ok, me and this girl have been talkin' 4 a while now (for like 6 months). We were just friends at first but I've always liked her. On Xxrocker's column page, I posted a huge question about this girl who I was friends with, but had a crush on. I asked how to tell her that I like her. awww...babe! lol it's ok. honestly, she'll come around...b/c usually, its the girl that likes her close guy friend. so, eventually, she'll realize what a good boyfriend you would make...tell you that she likes you, and TA DA-you go out!

if you really feel the need for a girlfriend...then you just have to put yourself out there. don't be all shy and embarrassed to ask girls out and talk to them and get to know them. the worst that could happen is that they turn you down...but hey-you need to have experiences like this...because then if it ever happens with someone that you really care about and like A LOT, it won't be so bad...(if that makes any sense)

don't be scared. it happens to everybody. and it's not uncommon to get your period in 6th grade (i'm guessing you're going into 6th grade since you said that 5th grade just ended lol). i got mine REALLY early, but it's okay. you just have to get used to it and learn how to deal with it.

you don't have to use tampons. when you're younger, you're not really supposed to use tampons. and if you have it in the summer when you would go swimming...just don't go swimming (since you don't want to use a tampon...and you like can't wear a pad in water)

and yes, *sometimes* it hurts when you have your period. it's just because some girls get really bad cramps. if you ask your mom if she had/has them...then that will determine whether or not you'll get em too (cuz it like runs in the family or something...) and don't be embarrassed or scared to ask your mom questions like that. she'll be happy that you feel comfortable enough to talk to her.

just talk to him about it. tell him that you guys have been going out a while, and you think that you guys are ready for it. it would kind of depend on if he had sex before, though. if he has, he'll most likely agree (i mean cmon, you're his girlfriend and ... guys want sex). if he hasn't then he might be a little hesitant and nervous. but just talk to him and reassure him that things just happen naturally and that it'll be fine (or whatever else you gotta say) lol.

i used to be a cutter right? And at some times i still am. I went through a lot in my childhood and am just recoving from a consequential 3 years of depression. But thats not the problem its this: i have this crazy compulsion with picking at my skin. it has nothing to do with cutting, and i dont think it has anything to do with depression. Like, i do it all the time, even when im happy. theres no emotion at all attached to it, except sum kind of bizzare need, i guess. i cant help it. i did it like a little bit before, but no its so much worse! once i start i cant tear myself away. i make myself bleed. i cause scars and i hate it. Does anybody know anything about this? Anything similar? Any ideas? i'll rate high for good answers.

if you make yourself bleed and cause scars by picking at your skin, i'm pretty sure its just another form of SI (self injury)...even though you say you do it when your happy and there's no emotion tied into it...it may just simulate the feeling you had when you used to cut.

i would say google it. like, type in something like "forms of self mutilation/injury".
