ok, first of all, i wasn't sure if this went into the fitness category or not. Second, how many calories am i burning walking 1 mile? The path is mostly flat except for the very end there is a spot that goes down. I walk, hmm, well i guess i walk medium paced. you know, not really fast, but not really slow. Thanx! long lace shirts, cropped jackets, big cute winter jackets, fur boots....(skinny jeans are kinda out, but you can wear them with the boots) Pull overs, ballet shoes, something modest that doesn't show too much cleavage...actually. POLKA DOT shirts are totally in..you'll see them EVERYWHERE!
But remember, just where what you feel comfortable in, and what's in style now won't last for long because something new is always gonna pop up....like next season..but you got a while.

i have no idea if i'm depressed or not. but i keep having really scary thoughts of me dying tragically. like i'm just walking down the street, and i picture myself getting hit by a car lying on the street.
i think a lot. too much actually. like one minute i'm completly happy knowing that i'm loved by people. the next i'm so scared that everybody's being fake and i'm going to get hurt by someone i love. it scares me. is this normal? i don't know why i'm having suicidal thoughts. and i hate over thinking.
should i go get depression pills? or no? and what exactly would they do for me? and where can i get them? (link)

If you're an adolescent, they tend to think like that sometimes, and if you're under stress from like school or friends or something like that, people tend to have suicidal thoughts. I say give it time before you go to a doctor. If your mood doesn't lighten up, you might want to go to the doctor and get a prescription if she thinks you need it. Also...if you are under stress....writing in a journal releases a lot of tension and even venting to a great friend helps as well. Good luck and I hope I helped.

your best bet would be to color coordinate. And lace shirts are so pretty under another top if the lace shirt is long enough. Sorry if that wasn't much help. I'd have to see the clothings.

there was a topic at the lunch table today. if sperm was in a toilet [obviously a guy did that] and it was flushed, are all the sperm dead then and flushed away?? someone was saying how they can still survive & be in the bowl. is that possible??

Auburn highlights are gorgeous in brown hair. I got mine done like two weeks ago, and I also have brown hair, and it looks great. Also, if you don't want auburn, blonde highlights are always in...just don't over do it. Get medium blonde highlights if you want blonde.

Today at cheering I got switched to one stunt group to another. So all of a sudden this little immature girl in the group that flys sees that i'm her backspotter and automatically goes "woooah" and turns around, and starts raising her eyebrows and saying something to her other friend thats the front spotter. The front spotter is like "i miss taylor" (the old backspotter) and raises her eyebrows to jen the flyer. This is even before I have started doing the stunt. Well all throughout the stunt i'm doing my best and the two girls just keep whispering. In my head i'm like "OH MY GOSH. DO YOU ACTUALLY THINK I DON'T FLIPPIN' NOTICE YOU?"
So finally i'm so pissed off, after one attempt of saying ever so nicely "if i'm doing something wrong, jsut tell me." So finally I say "You know i can just leave now if you want." and I say it in a pissed off tone. The coach is like "DON'T TALK TO YOUR TEAMMATES LIKE THAT." then she asks what is the problem. I say "I would really appreciate it if they just tell me when i'm doing something wrong so I can be better." My question is do you think I was rude/ a bitch? (link)

that kind of happened to me today when we did chairsits, and one of the stunters go..I miss Mega. And yeah, I got pissed off, but I just kept it to myself.
About your coach, hopefully she isn't like my coach because mine is a heartless bitch. But any hoo, talk to your coach about the attitudes of the other teammates towards you. It's totally disrespectful for them to treat you like that. But if they say anything, it's better to keep your mouth shut and go to your coach and talk to her after practices.

i have a little extra fat on the upper half of my legs, i'm 15/f and i was wondering what i could do to get rid of it. i do not have the time to go work out at the gym and i am quite flexible if that helps.

LUNGES!!!! squats and cheerleading jumps will do wonders. To answer what you asked me...cheerleading jumps are jumps that cheerleaders obviously do..lol....they're like toetouches, herkies...if you go to a cheerleading website, there will be pics of them.

you probably didn't start then. A short period lasts for about 2 days. If you don't get your period soon, talk to your mom about birth control because it regulates your periods and they don't last as long and aren't that heavy.

this is going to sound crazy, but i tried to use tweezers to pluck a few hairs on my breast. it looks like one of them became an ingrown hair...except it's almost like you can see a long piece of hair, under my skin. it almost looks like someone drew a pencil mark (a line on me). it's raised a little one one end. what is this & HOW DO I GET RID OF IT?! 17/f (link)

When I had that problem, my doctor said that tweezing is the worse thing you can do because if your irritate the skin on your breast too much, where the ingrown hair is, that area can get infected. So, lay off the tweezers, sister, She told me that baby oil and cocoa butter may work, and I haven't had a p problem since. And make sure you shower every day, which I'm sure you do.

ok, so i am trying to get toned up.. i am running and everything ( because i know that that helps with everything), but is there anything i can do for the back of my thighs and for my inner thighs to make them tight?! also if you guys have any workouts for love handles on my sides. please give me all the advice you know!

Running WILL tone the inner and back of your thighs as well. Lunges will tone your thighs. Cheerleading jumps will tone them. SQUATS!! Even thought they suck..they WORK! Leg lifts. Leg throws. Frog jumps. Try your right, left, and middle spilts..that will also help...make sure you stretch well before you jump or try the splits, otherwise you will pull the dickens out of your muscles!
For your love handles, using weights...lift both arms and turn to each side. Also, if you really need to...do crunches...and do SIDE crunches...which are self explainatory..but anyhooo...lay on your left side and do a crunch up to the side and then do that with the right side, this will tone and shape your obiques..which are your love handles. And while exercising and during the day...DRINK WATER, WATER, AND MORE WATER! Hope I helped.

for a couple months ive always felt fat because i have a big stomach but everyone says im thin. i started not eating breakfast or lunch and then maybe dinner sometimes but after i eat dinner i make myself throw it up. throwing it up only started recently but i feel better afterwards. When one of my friends told the guidance councelor, she confronted me first and tried to talk to me, and when it didn't stop, she confronted my parents about it. So, I suppose that if you talk toyours about it, she'd probably try to help you out first then depending on how serious it gets, she'll confront your parents.

i get white heads a lot & idk how to clear them up, i tried everything proactiv, going to a dermatologist, tooth paste... ugg they wont go away! any tips to clearer skin?

My skin doesn't break out often, but my doctor always tells me to drink a lot of water to have clearer skin...so you might wanna try that. And also, I use clarasel face wash and I guess it helps. But like I said, my skin doesn't break out, so I'm not totally sure. But you might wanna try those two things, definately the water.

Okay I've seen a couple recent questions on splits but I have one more thing I need to know. My splits are about 5 inches on my right leg and probably 7 on my left leg from the ground. If I stretch everyday how long could it take to get my splits? I need them by approx late April/early May for my studio's show. Is it possible? Okay thanks! (link)

I don't know how to exactly answer the question because I was always able to do the slpits...my left, right, and middle..and I can do my back handsprings and tucks and everything..yadayadayada.. but anyhooo..
Stretching alone won't necessarily do anything by itself. You have to work at your splits EVERYDAY, if you know how to do any cheerleading jumps..those will help stretch your inner thigh muscles, and will help flex you out. Also..there is a particular stretch meant to get your splits further down that we do in gymnastics..it's kind of hard to explain..but I'll try..Get on one knee, and put your other leg in front..the leg that is not kneeling.your knee should not extend further than your toes, with your two hand, push down on your knee and lean forward, and you should feel a pull in your hamstring..do this with your other leg. Then with what ever leg you do it with, right after you stretch with it, do the splits with that leg. (sorry..that was probably confusing)
But it would probably take you about 9 months to a year to get your splits. Good luck..I hope I helped.

Okay, I've been having several weird dreams. Two was with my crush in them...he's in 11th, I'm in 9th. And each dream he kept on flirting with me by hugging me, holding me, putting his arms around me and locking his fingers with me. Another dream was with my former crush...he's in 9th grade also. I liked him like woah for 3years and now i just gave up and love him like a brother. But anywhos he was in another dream and at the end he turned into my bff who is GAY. So erm yeah, a little confused about that. And I swear I ate nothing suspicious on the days I had those dreasm but erm yeah..any clue what any of those might mean? Thanks (link)

Just to put it simply...you just like them..people often dream about people they like. It's normal. Sometimes they mean something, other times, thet don't mean a thing. But you gotta remember..dreams are just dreams.

I have the best friends ever... but the only problem is they ONLY party, get drunk, and do drugs. I on the other hand dont and dont want too. I know it would be fun to go to a party and get drunk. But my last experience was horrible and i want to party sometime but im afriad i'll have another bad experience and regret it. (also haven't drank any alcohol in over a year) I don't think my friends find me fun because id rather sit home then go out and party. should i try to party a few times or just do what i usually do and spend time home? If your friends think that you are lame bcause you don't want to go out and drink and party because you have morals, then you might want to reconsider your friends, or talk to them about why you'd rather say home.

How do I convince my friend Rebecca that her mom does not think she looks drawn any more and she does not have to gain weight. On August 25, 2006 Rebeccas mom said: "Rebecca you look drawn, you look very thin, but you dont have to gain just dont lose." However,on September 2, 2006 her mother said: "Rebecca you look good you no longer look drawn dont forget you havent taken a vacation in 2 years." But Rebecca is still thinking now in January 2007 that her mother thinks that Rebecca looks drawn. (link)

If you have moderated her eating habits (if she hasn't been eating, or if she has been purging) and she's losing weight, and if that's the cause of her appearance, then you should go to her mom and just tell her that you are concerned for Rebecca and tell her why. You might want to do some research on bulimia and anorexia..as in signs and symptoms..(irribility, weight loss, paleness, hair thinning...etc..) It should b on what you look. Just inform Rebecca's parents with some information about eating disorders and their daughter. I hope I hoped in some way,
