ok, first of all, i wasn't sure if this went into the fitness category or not. Second, how many calories am i burning walking 1 mile? The path is mostly flat except for the very end there is a spot that goes down. I walk, hmm, well i guess i walk medium paced. you know, not really fast, but not really slow. Thanx! Sorry if the question seems a bit obvious...
higher body weight = more calories
lower body weight = less calories
incline = the bigger climb the more calories, if your on a decline, you burn less.
as far as walk vs. run distance wise, it doesnt matter.
you should time yourself instead. run for 5 min, then 6, then 7, and so on and so forth, it works a lot better, and you push yourself farther each time that way instead of having a set distance. [ god-smusgrove's advice column | Ask god-smusgrove A Question ]
