Q:
Do you have any ideas what kind of T-shirt Design could be simple but at the same time very nice.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Well, this is very broad.
Cutwise, a girl's shirt works best if there's slightly more room at the breast area and slims a little at the waist. However, unless you're making shirts only for those with D-cups and tiny waists, don't make this larger by huge amounts... use your own good judgement. For guys, a medium sized build is nice, not super tight, but a straight cut, with no extra room up top in comparison to the bottom half.
As for decoration, complimentary colors are always good- they stand out well, but black printing on a light color works, as does white on a darker colored shirt.
The coolest emblems are the simplest ones. If you're making shirts for adults, keep it fairly plain. Maybe put some words about your organization; for instance, I'm on a cabinet, and our shirts say "We're RAD in MAD(Mid Atlantic District)". Something like that works really well. If you're only using the front of the shirt, do a simple line of writing straight across the front. The back should be your play area- this is where a bigger picture goes.
If you're going for fashion, follow the same idea- if you're using words, keep it short. Nobody(except maybe perverted guys) wants to stare forever at someone's shirt... lol.
If you're trying to compliment a lot of skin tones, use black or white as your base color. Almost everyone looks good in black, and the same for white. If you're going for girls, use pastels, guys, darker colors.
-Rose...
If I didn't cover something you'd like covered, please mention this in the feedback, and I'll do my best to fix the problem. Thanks!

Q: This is a bit embarassing and a bit gross so sorry but I need some advice quick! I am on my period and I used a tampon with an applicator. Half of the cardboard tube is stuck inside of me. When I realised I pulled the tampon out but it came out on its own. I have tried taking it out but I think I have made it worse! Any suggestions?

Its gross, but there are only two things you can do.
You can either stick your fingers inside of yourself and pull, which ought to work, unless you're too tight to fit your fingers.
I had this exact problem a few years ago, and the only method I had to get it out was this, and I'm not sure its advisable for everyone, but anyway:
Take a small set of tweezers and put them in clenched tightly so as not to pinch yourself. Open them up a tiny bit, and pinch the applicator with them, then tug it out. This may be easier in the bathtub, because your muscles will be more relaxed.
Good luck!

Q: i have to pack my lunch every day this month because i forgot to fill out my lunch order form and im so tired of basic peanut butter sandwiches!! i dont like lots of flavors cause when it comes to food im pretty simple but i was wondering what are some fun, healthy, tasty, and easy things for me to make for lunch? i have acess to a microwave at school too. thanks so much!!! :)
|
|
|

|

I have this problem too! I like taking things like peanut butter or tuna sandwiches, but they get boring.
You could try:
-Taco salad: bring the lettuce, cheese, tomatoes ect. and put some tortilla chips in a baggie. Put some taco meat in a tupperward container and mix it all up- very easy.
-Many companies make pasta bowls for lunches. These can get expensive however; if you cook your own pasta at home, you can get four or five lunches for the same price as one or two pasta bowls.
-You can pack breakfast food such as bagels already toasted, with cream cheese or whatever you like seperately.
-Leftover food from the night before can usually be made over into something else; chicken can be cut up and thrown on a salad, put on some noodles or put on a sandwich, and similar things with other foods.
-I love soup, but its difficult to pack unless you have a thermos. Here's my solution- soup mixes. Heat up some hot water at school, and mix the soup together. You can also purchase soups in cups, but again, these can get expensive.
-Ramen noodles come in single serve cups; if you purchase them at Walmart, you can buy them for around a dollar apiece, with enough noodles to consititute a meal.
If you'd like more ideas, say so in your feedback... I just left off here for now.
**THE LATER ADDITIONS**
-Since you said soup doesn't fill you up, what about trying something heavier? A lot of the time, people ignore soups because they're thin or whatever, but soups that are more like stews(soup with very little broth, and lots of food) are very filling. Try taking a little bit of chicken broth over noodles with leftover chicken and veggies.
-While I'm on the subject of "filling", I want to make the statement. Protein(meats, nuts, fish) will fill you up. Carbs(breads, noodles, cereal) will give you energy. Vegetables are for vitamins. So therefore- if you're looking for FILLING, eat more peanut butter, chicken, hamburger, lunch meat, ect. If you're finding yourself full but listless, consider subbing some of the meat for cereal ect.
-If you're getting bored with the same old sandwiches, try packing the same spreads on different breads. For instance- boring old PB&J. Its good on freezer waffles, bagels, toast, sponge cake, graham crackers, inside banana slice-sandwiches, on apples, ect.
-I just thought of this, but what about Hot Pockets? If you're thinking they're too expensive(which they can be) consider this option. Take some shredded cheese, and small cut-up pieces of meat(cooked hamburger, ham, chicken, sausage) and maybe a little sauce(spaghetti, alfredo, ect.) and put it all between two slices of a thick bread(French works well.)
-Personally, I dislike hot-dogs. However, lots of people like them, and they can be fixed lots of ways. Cut up in mac-n-cheese, on a bun, ect. ect. ect. Yay Hot Dogs!
-Grilled cheese sandwiches are good- the only problem is keeping them crisp. The only way I know is to keep them wrapped in a paper towel inside their bag. That way they don't get soggy.

Interpretive reading: Find a REALLY dramatic poem and read it.
Movement Theatre: This is like... miming. With words. Like... this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML99I1c-iwA
Thats the only thing I could think of to be an example. You could even do that song. Its actually a great song for someone who can't sing.

Doing things with your feet is always a hit. I knew a girl who could peel and eat a banana with her feet.
Monologues are always good too. http://www.geocities.com/thespian_didi/backup/fmono.html
Comedies are good for laughs, but the BEST ones are monologues that make you laugh and cry in under five minutes.
Hope this helped!

Q: I have thick hair, and everytime i try to curl it, the curl goes back straight. I've tried spraying it with hair spray but that didn't help, and i leave my curling iron on for along time so its gets super hot and that don't help either. I have a thick curling iron, because i want curls like you see on the celebrities. Do you have to put them in curlers or pin them up after your curl your hair.

Mine is like that too, and I've found two solutions.
a. hard curlers left in over night. only use the big ones for big curls, or you'll look like Shirley Temple.
b. a big curling iron, and lots of curl gel. do very small pieces, and hold it for a long time.
It will pay off.

You could take like... pieces of magazines to make tights, with words like GUCCI or PRADA on them. For a skirt, you could make a miniskirt from a milk carton side, to give it shape, and paper it with fashion words as well. You could make a halter from a bag of chips to get the shiny color on the inside. Jewelry could be made from soda cans and such, or tinfoil. Same for shoes.

Q: ok i've wanted gauges for a while, and my parents finally agreed. idk how the sizes work though. my friend says hers are a size 2, and they are about half a penny, possibly a third of a penny ? anywho, i know you have to work up to the correct size, soo, what size is the smallest that i need to buy, and where can i get it ?

Sizes gradually get bigger as the numbers get smaller.
You begin with 16 gauge. They are not much bigger than a normal earring. Progressively, you can move all the way up to size 1, which are about 7/8 of an inch across...
So, the first size you'd need would be 16s. You can purchase them at different stores, like Claire's, Icing or at at lots of places that do ear piercings, or other types of piercings.

Q: i am looking for nice ways to tell my boyfriend i love him, other than just saying it. I like doing suprise things. Like... steal his phone, and change the banner to say "I love you". Chances are, he won't notice until you've left. ;)
Take chalk markers, and write "I love you" on his mirror in the bathroom.
Take all his favorite foods, and plan a picnic, even if its just on the living room floor, and eat together.
Roll up little love notes, and put them in weird places, like in the fridge(if he has his own place) or in his locker(if you're still in school). Letters are chill, but TINY little notes everywhere is kind of... kitchy cool.

Q: I love singing.. I sing for the choir..

I only know of two:
One, which sounds REALLY gross, and is, but works incredibly well, is olive oil. Drink it, and it will help.
Second, hot tea with lemon and honey will soothe any throat problem.
There's also salt-water, but I don't reccommend it. Gargling with it has caused me problems in the past(gagging up chunks of salt at intermission... ick.)
Any other singing questions... I'm your girl. ;)

I obviously dont want to bet money beacuse thats lame i was thinking maybe something cute but not come out and directly bet on a date or something beacuse im not sure i want to take that chance beacuse i dont know if he likes me or not. Q: Last night, I pierced MY OWN ears. I play after school sports, and the coach is gonna make me take out the piercings. Its only 2 hours, and so could I take them out for two hours, without them closing up? And if not, should I wait a week and then do it like that? Also, any advice other general advice for how to care for them?
And now I'm afraid that they could be infected. But isn't it only supposed to be infected if its been 24 hours or shorter, and so if pain lasts longer than that, then its been infected? And if so, and I don't feel any pain at all, right now (been about 16 hours) and so what if I began to feel pain in like 2 days or something?
I gave myself three new piercings. (I already had the first normal two). If you can answer just one part, or give me just any advice at all, I would be so thankful!

If you pierced them LAST NIGHT, they will heal enough that it'll be hard to put them in.
I've never had it done that I could take them out until at least the three-week mark. At four weeks, you can change them for other earrings.
Clean the earrings every day with rubbing alcohol, and turn the posts.
If you KEEP CLEANING the earrings and your ears, they won't get infected, cuz the alcohol kills the bacteria.
Here's the rule I was taught for taking them out, and I always follow it: 4-6 weeks with the same earrings, don't remove them.
7-10 weeks with post earrings, not the loop kind.
10-12 weeks try loop earrings, but remove for sleeping.
12+ do whatever....

Q: at summer camp my friend was the most popular one in our cabin i didnt know how she did it she is ssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooo tom boyish i dont know why she was so popular yes she is one of my best friends i just want to know how she was so popular so i can be like her next year
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Popularity isn't something you can copy.
Tomboys are often popular with guys, and when girls and guys hang out together, they are seen as a good part of the group. However, trying to imitate her, by being tomboyish isn't going to help you much. If you're a girly-girl, and you like yourself for who you are, just be a little more confident and outgoing. The one place you could go wrong is by being whiny or clingy. Its not attractive.
So here's my Summer Camp Checklist:
1. Be Confident.
as Marilyn Monroe said, "The sexiest thing you can wear is confidence."
2. Be outgoing.
We all learned a lesson from "Confessions of a Wallflower" right?
3. Be yourself.
Because nobody wants a obviously fake friend, the same way nobody wants an obviously fake Prada.
4. Don't cling.
Clinging isn't always attractive in clothes either... Friendship has the same tendency. Only the healthiest friendships allow for some clinging.
5. Don't whine.
Unless you're over 21 and have a bunch of cheese around, don't whine. ;)
Kidding! But it is a pretty bad idea. Whiners aren't going to be part of the group... at least not at summer camp.

Q: Well, I can't STAND to drink just straight water. And i was wondering since all i drink now is crystal light. can't it just replace water??
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

It should be fine. You can actually replace 2 of the 8 tall glasses of water with milk or juice, so thats two whole glasses that aren't water at all.
Crystal Light is almost all water, with a little flavoring in it, so unless you powder it up and make it all thick, you should be fine...
Although I would advise you to buy the kind low in sugar... Too much sugar can dehydrate you.

Q: I think I am developing an eating disorder. Over the past year I have gained about 15 pounds, and its because I've been eating more. Recently I've been trying to get in shape again but then I "give up" and overeat. Then after the fact I promise myself I'll do better tomorrow but the same thing happens. I wish I could break this on my own but it's just not happening and I think I need help. It's just, I am too embarassed about it to go to anyone about it. Nobody knows about it because I don't look overweight right now but I am still gaining weight and soon it will be apparent. What should I do?
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

*sighs*
Its not an eating disorder... Its just something you need to work on.
Binge-eating disorders are incredibly rare, because it involves eating to qualm emotional problems.
Gaining 15 lbs over a year isn't that big of a deal. Its when you're gaining 15 lbs a month that you need to worry.
I think your main problem is that you're expecting too much out of yourself. Bad habits take time to fix, and you need to take it slow.
If you're wanting to diet, or even just be healthier, try Weight Watchers. Its all about eating in porportion to what you're doing excercise-wise. I know it sounds like something for old women, but I did it for three months and lost quite a bit of weight.

Q: 14/f
I understand if you don't want to read all of this. But I seriously don't know what's wrong with me.
I've always been a very bright student, and I make straight A's.. People depend on me for advice, and they usually become attached to my happy and cheerful personality.
Even though people depend on me emotionally, the truth is that I fake a lot of my facial expressions. (Horrible!!!! My smiles should be from my heart!)
I now LOATHE long car rides, because I think a lot when I'm in a car. Why? because there aren't many distractions. In one of my more recent car rides, I realized that I am mentally unstable.
I realize that I use people to make myself happy. I usually use whomever is more convenient and whomever I can easily part with.
Lately, I've found that I don't have anyone to talk to that is as smart as me! It's really frustrating to be around a bunch of people who I can't really tell everything I think about to. Because if I did, people would think I'm a monster!
I'm very blunt to people, and don't respect elder people. Why should I have to act special around them? It's not MY fault they're old!
I'm an amatuer (not sure how to spell it) author, kids in my class devour my compilations like hyenas to raw meat.
I think my way through everything. Like crying. Lately I've been crying uncontrollably. Gosh, I sound so emo. Little things just set me off. But I think my way out of it after a while....
What is wrong with me, if anything at all? Or is it just that I'm smart (no, I won't get a big head if you tell me that)?
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Okay... I know exactly how you're feeling.
I was the exact same way when I was your age. Being smart is a gift and a curse, and its all in the way that you use it.
I think its not so much being emotional, but your thoughts are so highly charged with... smarts or whatever, that you can't STOP thinking. Everyone else takes longer to process the same thought, so the sped up process means you have less time to accept it. You really need to just calm down a bit, and think about what you're going through.
email me... we can talk.

Hey Peoples...
I'm a Pennsylvania girl plopped right down in the middle of the nowhere, and hating it.
I sing, act, write, read way too much, and I love my girls.
Currently SiNgLe, but I want someone.
I give okay advice, but I won't bullshit to you. If I don't know, I'll tell you straight up. I'm NOT going to sugarcoat answers, and if you rate me down, whatevs. WHO CARES. I'm not here to be the most popular collumnist. I'm here to give advice.
On that note,
