I have thick hair, and everytime i try to curl it, the curl goes back straight. I've tried spraying it with hair spray but that didn't help, and i leave my curling iron on for along time so its gets super hot and that don't help either. I have a thick curling iron, because i want curls like you see on the celebrities. Do you have to put them in curlers or pin them up after your curl your hair.

It works for me and i've got super thick hair. [ Kourtney_BabeXO's advice column | Ask Kourtney_BabeXO A Question ]
Rosalina answered Wednesday February 13 2008, 10:35 pm: Mine is like that too, and I've found two solutions.
a. hard curlers left in over night. only use the big ones for big curls, or you'll look like Shirley Temple.
b. a big curling iron, and lots of curl gel. do very small pieces, and hold it for a long time.
It will pay off. [ Rosalina's advice column | Ask Rosalina A Question ]

If that doesn't work, then try pinning them up for a bit. If your hair still isn't curling, next time you go to the hair salon, ask for suggestions. Since your hairdresser will be working with your hair, he/she will have a better idea on how to help you since they will see your hair-type. You may even want to get a perm.
