Need Talent Show Ideas

Question Posted Thursday February 21 2008, 8:41 pm

I am in a modeling competition and have to compete in a talent show ( which I am not looking forward to since I have no talent but modeling ).
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could possibly do? I can NOT sing or dance so anything concerning those 2 things are definately out! Please give me suggestions!! Oh and I cant play any instruments either! Thank you!!

Interpretive reading: Find a REALLY dramatic poem and read it.
Movement Theatre: This is like... miming. With words. Like... this. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Thats the only thing I could think of to be an example. You could even do that song. Its actually a great song for someone who can't sing.
LOL
Cup stacking: for some reason, this is a sport.

Doing things with your feet is always a hit. I knew a girl who could peel and eat a banana with her feet.
Monologues are always good too. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Comedies are good for laughs, but the BEST ones are monologues that make you laugh and cry in under five minutes.
Hope this helped!

I don't know how long you have to practice this or to learn a new skill so I'm throwing out there everything I can think of.

Stand up comedy, magic trick or other entertaining showy type of thing, gymnastics or super flexibility type impressive talent you could work on, hula hooping (yes, this can be a talent), juggling, hypnotism, anything you can do much quicker than anyone else, baloon animals.

I know you said dancing is out but you may consider a few quick classes on bellydancing. It's similar to any quick-hip movement type of dancing seen in clubs or on music videos and with repition of isolations could potentially be quickly learned - not to mention it's easily lent to improvisational dancing, use of props such as veils, cymbols, and tambourines. Not to mention the really cool outfit you could acquire for this!

Good luck finding your talent and with your modeling competition!

You could give some sort of speech. Or act out a monologue.
