about

I believe that taking personal responsibility for your actions is key to living and loving life. If you never blame anyone else for things you had control over people will respect you and forgive you your transgressions. Lying is never worth the words you waste and nothing (NOTHING) is worth lying about. If you feel the need to lie about it you seriously need to reconsider your motivation, your relationship, or whatever else factors into you deciding that lying is a good decision.
Take a look at those people that you surround yourself with. Are they really worth your time or are they energy vampires that are trying to remove the life from you, your cashflow, or your time? Think about that, those relationships must also assist you in bettering your life NOT just theirs.
Please contact me, even if it's just to tell me that I'm full of crap. If you say it in a meaningful and honest way I will consider what you're saying.
Remember: communication is key. God Bless!

ok, the pic above--
How do you get that amazing quality/sharpness. I'm not sure what it is called but I would appreciate anyone who could tell me how to get pictures that good!
Thanks!
That may just be the blessing of a steady hand. I've noticed that with a decent camera (i.e. not a cell phone camera) as long as I have a steady hand and it's in focus the clarity usually doesn't come into question (just the subject matter, hahah).
If you're trying to take self portraits try using a tripod. I hope this helps!
Hey, I was going to audition for my school's talent show [I've made it for the past two years] and, I can't think of a good song to sing. I'm looking for a more maybe rock song, or maybe like, a really soft pretty song. I'm an alto, but I can do soprano pretty well, if that makes a difference. Thanks! :]
You might also try Fiona Apple or the Cranberries. If you can pull off Zombie by the cranberries it's got awesome sound, lots of energy and most people know it. Otherwise, Criminal and Shadowboxer by Fiona Apple are fairly well known and mostly stay in a nice alto range.
I am in a modeling competition and have to compete in a talent show ( which I am not looking forward to since I have no talent but modeling ).
Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could possibly do? I can NOT sing or dance so anything concerning those 2 things are definately out! Please give me suggestions!! Oh and I cant play any instruments either! Thank you!!
I don't know how long you have to practice this or to learn a new skill so I'm throwing out there everything I can think of.
Stand up comedy, magic trick or other entertaining showy type of thing, gymnastics or super flexibility type impressive talent you could work on, hula hooping (yes, this can be a talent), juggling, hypnotism, anything you can do much quicker than anyone else, baloon animals.
I know you said dancing is out but you may consider a few quick classes on bellydancing. It's similar to any quick-hip movement type of dancing seen in clubs or on music videos and with repition of isolations could potentially be quickly learned - not to mention it's easily lent to improvisational dancing, use of props such as veils, cymbols, and tambourines. Not to mention the really cool outfit you could acquire for this!
Good luck finding your talent and with your modeling competition!
Everyday I swim on a swim team for two hours after school. And I get cramps from swimming like all the time, but they go away. Yesterday, I had a terrible foot cramp, and well it still hasnt gone away. I don't think it's a foot cramp or not, or idk if i mite of pulled a muscle? idk. But it hurts when I put weight on it, especially towards the front of it. And we've been doing some intense workouts at swimming this week. But as for my foot, I have no idea what to do. I thought it would be gone by now. Help, please?
girl/14/usa
Any cramps can cause lasting pain which could be what you're feeling, it may just be hard to identify because of the location. Make sure you're taking a daily vitamin and tonic water (as in gin and tonic but just the tonic which is available at the grocery store) can be good for preventing cramps so try having a can of that too. It tastes a little funny but it good with a squirt of lime juice too. Also, a pain reliever like advil or tylenol should help a bit with the pain.
Remember - soda water and tonic water are not the same (I made that mistake and had an awful drink once). I hope this helps!
Okay, here's my story.
I'm 18/m, graduated, with a year of cooking school under my belt. I'm currently a dishwasher/prep cook at a high end restaurant. My problem is that I recently discovered I don't want to be a cook. And now I need a career change but don't have enough money to go back to college. I live in B.C. if that helps. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you.
I don't know if this is something you might be interested in but law enforcement type of jobs do not always require a degree. You're a little young for most of them but my dispatch center hires with a high school diploma, does all the trianing on site and starting pay is over $20/hr with great benefits. You might look into this line of work, look for police/fire/medical dispatch or call receiving jobs. It is very intense and of course 24 hours a day since it it emergency response. Also private ambulance companies and tow companies need dispatchers 24/7.
There really is something freeing in working different hours than everyone else. I don't have a 9-5 job but my traffic is always great, I shop at the grocery stores at odd hours so there is rarely a line, and I'm always up when people want to go out dancing or something because I work night shift.
If you're interested check out the job postings here (http://www.9-1-1magazine.com/site/index.php?option=com_jobline&Itemid=30) to get an idea about job requirements/pay and then keep an eye out for your area. I know I've seen info on call centers in the BC area.
Good luck in your soul searching for a job. I know that this can be a trying time and I hope you reach peace with it soon.

Yesterday I started tanning , btw I'm 15 female. I have a semi-formal on friday so I tanned yesterday, today and will continue untill friday. I will stop after that and maybe go a couple weeks before summer but I'm not sure yet. I've heard about skin cancers and such but is it true ? And If i go only this week can that effect my heath? I'm really worried I'm such a healthy person and a comlete freak about this stuff. Should I just stop? Do you know anyone who has gotten skin cancer from tanning?? Thanks in advance !
The deal with tanning is that all of it is bad. That we know. You can make your tanning safer by NOT burning. Burning your skin is so much more unhealthy and leads to more skin cancers from what I've read.
Spray tanning is great! Go buy a body scrub (I find mine at Wal-Mart) scrub your skin real well and try a spray tan and a daily moisturizer with a self tanner (I perfer Aveeno or Jergens). I tan in the UV beds and suppliment that with spray tan and the daily moisturizer so I don't feel the need to UV tan more frequently and I get an intant tan when I need one!
I don't know that you should just stop but you do need to be aware of the dangers and check your skin for unusual marks or wounds that will not heal. I hope this helps!
I was thinking about getting a hair cut. But I have no idea how to get it! Ok I am 13/f and my hair is dark brown and my face shape is ovalish I guess. I have tannish skin if that helps any. My hair goes about to the middle of my back and its thick. Oh I have side bangs and my hair is long layered. Any idea's? Anything would be helpful! I really want a new hair cut. It has always been the same. But I want to keep the bangs I just got them about a few months ago. Thanks a whole lot!
First off, I do not suggest that you cut your hair short. Men LOVE long hair that they can play with and in my opinion those of us (myself included) with oval/round faces look much better with longer hair.
Definately keep the bangs, they're very in style right now. I do have a couple of image suggestions for you!
If you are looking to go short:
http://gimps.de/wettbewerb/albums/userpics/10001/cute-short-haircuts.jpg
This cut does not round under at the jawline which would have made your face appear rounder and possibly chubbier. It also has plenty of body and bounce.
I'd suggest you stick with the legnth and just have them add some layers. A good person to google for images is Hilary Duff and I think this photo illustrates what I'm talking about:
http://nayelibermejo.podomatic.com/2006-04-01T17_57_26-08_00.jpg
She still has legnth but the layering takes a lot of the weight off and adds texture and volume to the look.
I hope this helps!
Ok well i'm 17/M and my girlfriend would like me to shave "down there"
I was just wondering what was the best way to do this? Like shaving the testicles and the penis and everything. And what are good shaving cremes and razors to use also. thanks a lot
I suggest that you use a fresh razor, you're actually more likely to cut yourself with an older razor, go light on the shaving cream (really any you have will work) and always shave WITH the grain of the hair. If you shave against the growth of the hair you'll likely get ingrown hairs. Shaving this area will probably be very itchy for quite some time so don't be surprised if for the first several times you shave it grows back and is itchy in the process. If you do nick anything that is a very a visceral area so it will probably bleed for longer than if you'd of nicked an appendage, do not worry about it and be sure to clean the cut so that it doesn't get infected.
Just from my personal shaving experience I would say the more blades the better. I can't recall the names right now but there are brands with 3 or 4 blades and those do seem to work fairly well. I'd stay away from disposables as I tend to cut myself more with those.
Happy Shaving!
okay so in like two weeks is a school party for valentines day and well i want to go but i want my boyfriend to go with me!!! but he doesnt like to go to them or his parents wont let him. any ways... i cant hang with him after school or on weekends.. we are trying to make plans but ya. well i really need help on ways to give him hints on the dance... i was thinking of bringing it up to my friend lidsey right by him but i dont know. so any opinions are great!! PLEASE HELP. thanks bunches!! 14/f
Why not just ask him if he's going to be able to go with you? It's not really like you're spoiling a surprise or anything if you're already dating him. Ask him if he wants to go! If he doesn't or isn't allowed to then you have a different problem inthat you have to decide if you want to go alone or with someone else.
I am 20 years old and I have never had a pap test and all that, but I am sexually active and I always use to tell the doctor I wasn't so I didn't have to get that. Now I'm older and smarter and want to be checked out. My question is if I say yes Do they automatically do that when Im at the doctors office and does it show up on the insurance like if my parents would see that. I don't care if my parents see it I'm just wondering how it works.
Yes, it will show up on the insurance bill but I doubt that they would automatically do it. They usually only schedule 10 or 15 minutes per patient so I doubt they'd have time, they would probably suggest that you schedule another appointment for that. If you're uncomfortable with your current doctor performing the test the seek out the nearest Planned Parenthood or other clinic - after all, that is what they specialize in and they take your insurance as well.

I have pictures of my hands and I want to be a hand model and everyone say i should. well I hard that you need have picture with your hand right? and I try to find agent and I have found address on webpage on comogirl. and I try this email and didnt work anymore so i didn't know i use some these address.. so anybody know a site that you send picture to magazine looking for hand modeling or anybody know what kind magazine you can get to contact by Letter to send Pictures?
thanks
You might try looking into web sites like Model Mayhem, One Model Place, or Babewarehouse. You can post a few photos taken by a friend and mention that you're interested in getting into hand modeling and would like to do photo shoots for trade, so that you can get experience and photos and the photographers will contact you.
Remember to be safe! Always take a friend/parent/guardian with you to your photo shoots and have a set schedule, meeting place, and plans for the pictures. Remember that anyone out there can be a guy with a camera claiming to be a photographer for whatever they want if you'll fall for it.
Happy Modeling!
I need to get my boyfriend something for valentine's day but i don't know what to get him. for christmas i got him some cologne and now I have no idea what i should get him. he is into basketball, football, and track. he's a prep. my budget is low. any good clothing websites for guys?
You might consider a magazine subscription. It sounds impersonal but if he is into sports maybe Sports Illustrated. They're usually around $20 and keep on giving for the next year.
At my school everyone is very big on cliques. Theres the Girly Girls, Emos, Goths, and Spunkys. I am not in a clique, I'm a Tomboy and the boys dont have cliques so I hang with them. All the girls say aleast I have friends that are girls and stuff like that. I want the cliques to stop what should I do. Thanks in advance.
The cliques will never stop, but you can revolt by crossing clique boundaries and being "equal opportunity friends" with anyone you deem worthy. BUT, do not participate in the gossip and things like that, it's fun but never productive. Remember - whatever school you're in a such a minor part of life as a whole. It seems big now but not much of that will really matter when it comes down to life in the long term, so don't worry about it too much.
Well i am going to a semi formal dinner for supporting breast cancer and I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR! I want to wear these super cute black patent peek toe shoes I bought with white/silver stitching but I don't know what color shirt to wear. DO i HAVE TO match the shoes or can i wear a different color. basically what are my other combinations instead of a white or silver shirt. I will also be wearing black pants and those GORGEOUS SHOES! Please help!
I would say that you can wear any color with the shoes as long as your jewlrey is silver in color to match. Also, any lighter color that has the same tone as the white/silver color will match wonderfully!
k…well I’m 16 and my boyfriends 17.
I am so in love with this boy, but sometimes I wonder if we can make it. I’m really not good at long distance relationships, and he moved 3 hours away from me. I’m really upset, and this has stressed me out to the point of sickness. I don’t want to lose him, but here lately we’ve been arguing a lot. And yesterday he really made me feel bad. But I don’t want to break up, we’ve been together for 13 months, btw. What should I do?
xOxO
What do you think you should do? I don't know that anyone can sit down and just tell you that you should either stick it out or run, we don't have enough information. What I don't want is you feeling stressed. I have done long distance several times in my marriage, my husband went to the middle east for a year and then to another state for several months, it's rough and it's so hard to be reassuring when you're unable to see them.. having a relationship with a voice over the phone is demanding, demeaning, and quite frankly almost doomed if you're not completly comitted.
I guess my questions for you are a) is he coming back? b) when will you be able to be able to be together? Things like that. Is there a light at the end of this tunnel or are you just torturing yourselves because you're so stuck on him? If he's not coming back then I suggest that you break it up, remain in contact, and live life knowing that if you're meant to be together then you two will be together LATER. If it is meant to be then he will come back to you and you'll be able to pick right up. I don't know that anyone can expect you to put your life on hold at such a young age if they aren't sure it's going to work out for you two.
I suggest that you have a conversation with him about what you two really expect to get out of this situation now and later. At that age if you're not planning on being married you're almost certainly doomed and to boot it's impacting your health.
I know this will be a difficult conversation and I'm sorry. Remember, everything in life worth having is worth working for. Blessed Be.
ok so my friend is like 17 and she has this cousin who's 30 and he keeps tapping her on the butt and hip and kissing her on the cheek every so often and saying he loves her. Problem is, she feels the same way. Now he's never done anything more than that and they've always been close but my friend is confused. She doesn't love him like family but like, well, u know, she's in love with him. She told me about it a few weeks ago and she doesn't know what to do. problem is, neither do I. Any answer would b helpful. She knows loving her cousin that way is wrong but isn't sure what 2 do.
The unfortunate answer to this is that she needs to grow up and divert her affections and attention to someone a) not a family member, and b) her own age. These two factors are probably playing in. It is flattering when someone older than us thinks we're special and gives us attention and that's just what they're going for. Men LOVE the attention of women half their age so that's probably why he's doing it.
Please keep in mind: saying that you love someone doesn't mean that you're IN love with them. If she really wants to know she can sit him down and ask why all of this is going on and see what he has to say. If he suggests an inappropriate relationship she needs to run and quickly.
my boyfriend and i have chihuahua, if i don't give her food or whatever, and my boyfriend did give her food and whatever, is that mean she will keep coming to him and sleep on him becuase he give her food and treat alot than i do? will she keep coming to him than me?
My husband and I have this situation with our Beagle. I work nights and he works days so when he gets up or gets home my husband feeds her. She waits, every day, staring out the window for him to get home because she knows when he gets home she'll get food. Other than her always being super excited to see him when he gets home I see no ill effects from this process. She's really my dog because I raised her (my husband left for a year on business when she was very little) so she always runs to momma for everything OTHER than food. I also spend more time sitting with her petting her. She sleeps with both of us (whomever happens to be sleeping since we work opposite shifts) and seems more than happy to assist in occupying the bed either way.
Now, if you're trying to get the dog not to come to you then just don't feed it and don't pay attention to it. Then it will go to your boyfriend. I hope this isn't what you're planning to do because all pets diserve love so keep on loving it and it will keep loving you!
God, please help me to be the person may dog thinks I am!
I'm 17 and my girlfriend is 15 turning 16 soon, We've been together a several months now, we plan to be tgether for a LONG time. So everytime we are making out or anything and i go to move further, (fingering her or gttting her hand down my pants)i dont know whether to be direct and ask her if she want me to finger her or for her to rub me. Would girls rather i ask them before i do, or wait till i do it for a "dont do that"? I've rubbed around her vaginal area before but never gone inside, I asked if she wanted me to just rub above and she said yes..then after i went to go back down and she told me not to, she hurt her leg recently and so i asked if it was because it was hurting or whether she didnt want me to...she said both. *****Should i ask her "Do you want me to keep asking you if you want me to or do you want to tell me when your ready for me to do that?" just to see what she says?*****
I see no reason, however uncomfortable for you, to sit her down in a non-sexual situation and say that you'd really like to know where she stands on all things sexual. Explain to her that by participating in sexual things the two of you have decided to be adult about your relationship and therefore you must sit and talk like adults too. It's nothing to be embarassed about and she may answer that she doesn't know and that her thoughts on that matter change from day to day. That is OK too! This is a wonderful time of change, experience, exploration, and for you two COMMUNICATION. Be adult about it and face the situation head on. It will foster a more meaningful relationship for you two if you're able to handle this camly and obtain a clear resolution.
Keep in mind, she may be so uncomfortable that she blows up at you and causes a scene just to avoid the conversation. If this happens don't buy into it, just back out of the conversation for now and understand that she's obviously not ready to be adult about the situation which means she's not ready for things sexual either. If this happens I suggest that you reevaluate your relationship.
okay so i have been sick for a long time, like 3 weeks or so and i have been to the doctor like 3 times. so the first time i went he gave me this migrane medicine, and it made my migranes even worse, it was horrible, and he gave me this other medicine cuase he thought i had a sinus infection, and i didn't. then second time he gave me this new kind of migrane medicine, and it didn't help at all either and i just kept feeling even worse and the migranes kept on coming along with feeling natious and being dizzy. so i decided to go back to the doctor and this time he gave me new medicine that is anti-depressant medicine, i am not using it for those purposes, but if you take a low dose of it, it is supposed to help prevent migranes. and along with that, he is not sure what is wrong with me, so he is making me go get on MRI, and since i am clostraphobic, they have to put me out. i have never gotten and MRI before and i am REALLY scared. i am getting it on saturday and im not getting the really easy brain scan one, im getting like a full body 2 hour one that is super loud i have heard. so, if anyone has ever gotten an MRI before please explain to me how it works and what happens and stuff? and also how fast do you get your results because i am also scared about those... thanks!
I have not had an MRI before but I have been "put under" several times (including for surgery just last Thursday) and as a former needle-phobic I would like to be the very first to assure you that you're making it so much worse than it is. Be very happy that they're putting you to sleep for this because otherwise it would be very long and boring. This way you'll be getting a lovely nap while they do all the hard work!
I am so sorry that you're having a migrane problem. I've also been on several medications for migranes which really did not seem to help. I'm not sure if anything of the things I've tried has helped or if my migrane problem has largly solved itself but I sugges that you look into massage which can be covered by insurance if your doctor will write you a perscription, also chiropractic (could be a compressed nerve problem), and overall stress reduction in your life.
You may also look into your nutrition and try eliminating things such as chocolate, wine, dairy products (cheese, coffee creamer, ice cream, yogurt, etc) red onions, and anything else that you feel might be worth eliminating for a week or two to see if it makes a difference.
I hope this helps and you find your solution soon. Happy healing.
