Let me start off by saying you are NOT UGLY. You are VERY pretty, but that isn't the point because looks don't mean everything. Most teenagers don't like how they look. It's the truth, even if they are the most beautiful people in the world. Why do you think people get eating disorders? You're your own worst critic. I do understand it's always gives you confidence when you feel good about yourself, so here's some makeup tips. Don't overdo it. Use light colored eyeshadows like silvers and pinks. Put brown eyeliner on your top lashline and above your lashline on the bottom! Put on light pink blush also.
okay im having a problem with shoes. what is exactly "the in shoe" right now?? i know a lot of people wear uggs, but i don't want to buy $120 uggs for a few months. i've been wearing american eagle boots, but they wear out easily. everyone in my school wears clogs with socks, like everyone! i usually wear these-

"in" shoes right now:
1. birkenstocks (they are what you have except the designer brand)
2. ballet flats (popular colors are metallics like gold and silver)
3. new keds (what i mean by new is no the white sneakers. there are new kind of stylish keds that come in all kinds of patterns)
4. slip on and low top converse (the slip on converse are so comfortable, and you can put them on in a second!)

Well I am around your age and Dreamgirls to me was completely BORING!! I liked some parts like the "dreamgirls" song but then me and my friend started getting really annoyed with all the singing. Happyfeet I think is more for little kids, but it depends on what your taste in movies are. Epic movie I haven't seen but my friends have and they think it's really funny.
I highly suggest Freedom writers though, it has alot of shooting at the beginning but it isn't really graphic but towards the middle and end it's GREAT! But judging by the other movies you considered it my not be something you would like.
I'm a 14/f and I dont have a best friend. I mean I have friends.... but they're not that close. Like a lot of people I know, are going to the mall with their best friends, and since i dont have a best friend, i'd only have a chance to go to the mall with my mom... ughh and I soo totally dont want to do that.
Well, my point is that in school, we have about 20 minutes before school to do anything we want. And well I am hanging out with my "friends" and they don't really include me... so if they're having a conversation, and I ask a question, they wont answer me and just ignore me. I always feel so alone. I know you might say "just have you're family be your best friends" but I REALLY dont want to have my family be my best friends. I want someone that's my age, and who I can have sleepovers with, and go to the mall with, and just hang out with... but none of my friends don't like me that much. It's like this world doesn't even know I exist.
So my question is How can I stand out to people and try to make friends? Is there any tricks to making a best friend? What should I do about these so called "friends"? Keep talking to them? Ignore them?
I mean, if I start talking to them, they'll just change their mood into like an annoying mood. Suuuure they'll talk to me, but its about something really stupid like "what was the homework assignment for monday?"
Sometimes, if one of my friends, doesn't have anyone to talk to at the time, they'll come to me and start talking to me, but it's not the talking you think it is... its probably more like bragging. Like one of them likes to dance, and if she doesn't have anybody to talk to, she'll come up to me and say "oh my gosh, I can't remember my tap dance sequence... Oh yeah it goes ____" and then she'll like dance infront of me, and like show off.
I don't know what's wrong with me, it's like i'm a back-up friend to everybody... I feel so alone and my subject said "what happens to a lonely person in life?" well... what happens? Will I turn out to be some person who doesn't have a purpose in life?
How can I fix this? I'm SOOOO CONFUSED!!!!!!!!

I laughed at your question not because it was funny but because for a second your situation sounded so much like mine that I thought for a second it was an old question I had asked before, but then I looked at the date!! Nooo, you will have a purpose in life. I still don't have a best friend, and i've come to realize when you meet a true friend, you will know, and this happens usually later in life. Ha, when I told my family about my sitution like this, they were like, "don't worry, your family will always be your best friends all through out life." Ahh. I love this book! It really catches your attention, but if you're disturbed easily it really isn't for you I guess. Give it a try though, it's a wonderful story!

I mean , if you want to answer a question its to help someone, not be rude.
So if you say something mean to someone, maybe when you ask a question someones gonna be mean toward you.

Well I went to a counselor for my headaches and stomaches trying to find out if they were physcosomatic. I HATE GOING THERE HONESTLY. My parents send me there for her to help me find out what is causing my headaches and stomachacches, and the lady tries to make me "socialize and open up to people" more.Like, once I went there and she's like has anyone invited you over, and i'm like yeah this girl named nora. Shes like oh did you go over her house? I'm like no I don't really like nora.Then we spend the next half hour with her trying to get my to be friends with a freakin girl I don't even want to be friends with. In my head i'm like "I DIDNT COME HERE TO HAVE MAKING FRIENDS LESSONS, I CAME HEAR TO TRY AND STOP MY HEADACHES AND STOMACHES" So no, the woman didn't help me... and it is weird talking to them, and my parents MADE ME GO. Lol sorry but it's true.
My friends and I are going to be the Fantanas for Halloween. (in case you don't know who they are, they are the girls that sing "want a fanta" in the fanta commercials.)

Well on tables you can have all sorts of little bowls of black and white candy like:
1. Licorice
2. Marshmallows

4. Maybeeeeee dark chocolate?
Also for desert you should have OREOS!!

uhmm, what the heck? okay so my crush recently asked me if i liked carrotcake or not, and i was like "uhh, what kinda question is that, you're so random!" and he was like "no i think you can really learn alot about a person by asking that question!" SO WHAT THE HECK? is it like a trick question? is there a special answer guys expect when they ask this to a girl? or is my guy just a weirdo? (haha) so im just thinking.. instead of answering the question, i'd like to make a joke out of it, or just randomly move away from the subject instead of having to answer that question were i might get the "wrong" answer.. you know? maybe its something he's made up in his mind, like "if the girl says YES, she's the one for me, if no.,. shes not" or vice versa..

My neighbor had a cat crawl under her house and she had kittens. So my neighbor told me, if I caught one, I could bring it home. There was something about a little gray and white one that made me want her more than anything. So I tried catching her for days on end. And yesterday, I finally caught her. I brought her home and my mom started spazzing. She told me to call my dad and tell him to take her. But then I started bawling. He came and took her away and his house is NOT the best place at all for a kitten. So PLEASE tell me how to get her back. I love her so much I've been crying for two days straight. Please, I don't care about anything else but this kitten. PLEASE give me advice please. As I'm writing this, I'm crying my eyes out because she means the world to me. I'll do just about anything. Just..please.
Well i hate to break it to ya, but you aren't the only one on earth that doesn't get what you want. I cried for a puppy but my parents ended up adopting an old dog from the shelter, and I had to live with it. You have to live with you parents rules until your 18, then you can move out and start your own life. But until then, your out of luck. Oh yeah and just so you know, crying is just going to give your parents the impression that you are too immature for a kitten. There are millions of people on earth that have worse problems then you, like little kids are crying because they have AIDS and their time on earth is limited. If i was you, I would be HAPPY not getting a kitten i want was the worst of my problems.

Why the heck does everyone think it's SAVING grace. First of all, the title SAVING grace wouldn't even make sense for the show. It's most definitely called STATE OF grace.
I don't know what group to place it in, but it is mental I can tell you that. My boy friend was the best person you could have ever imagined. Even though he is only 14 [so am I, female] He was great. He has the potential to do anything he sets his mind to, music, school, great with kids & adults, wonderful. One of the ,main thing I was attracted to, was his childness-ish. He was funny, not in a dirty way either, didn't swear, proclaimed to be saved and was ever-so respectful.
After about a few months af dating I allowed french kissing and holding, sorta a low quality makeout.Then it grew and grew, now, we didn't get into sex or anything and stayed on top of clothes, but I noticed a difference in him, about two months ago.He has always told me how he feel about everything, absolutely EVERYTHING, I asked him what was wrong, hios reply was always something but he never got to the point. I started telling him that there was somthing he wasn't telling me, he would always say no, there wasn't.
After a long while of thinking, praying and asking God for guidance, I realised that we should never have started the whole "kissing process" so we could regenerate our relationship, the way it was before. At first he was scared, he'd say "What?I thought everything was fine, why shouldn't we?" and My answer would alaways be "It is wrong and I believe God would rather otherwise" Then there'd be a conflict, and those always hurt the heart.
Now he gave me his msn password and I thought "I don't have anything to hide or lose" so I gave him mine. He forgot that He gave me his password and the other days I checked it.Was I ever shocked, hurt, crushed, heart broken...It just hurt so much, I was crying outloud saying "no....no, he couldn't have done this to me..." He had "porn4free!", "sexsearch", "you have received a wink from...blahdiblahblah"
PAIN CRWLS IN, I...I COULDN'T BREATH, I FELT AS IF IT WAS ALL MY FAULT AND THAT I WAS BLIND TO NOT HAVE SEEN IT COMMING.
Later to find out, He called me [after I ave him my two cents on msn, really, it wasn't much] He denied it, telling me they were spams...right.I didn't believe him, he blamed it on his computer breaking, and It was right in front of my face...all of it, his name, his way of talking, even his special password was there... the girls... the pain was Unbearable :"( ... Everytime I gave him proof, he said sorry and agreed...and He kept telling me half truths, I got him to tell his parents and they have taken the computer away form him for a month.
What could I do to help him[he said it started about after we stopped the kissing process [which was two months ago]And I want to know What can I do, how should I react? Goodness, the kid's 14. He isn't perfect. Teenage boys look at porn. Yeah probably 90 percent of them looked at it at least once. Heck my dad used to look at porn. I hate to see you when one of your boyfriends cheats on you and has sex with other girls. This guy seems like a wonderful boyfriend. None of the guys I know would admit they did it.
I'm kind of "addicted" to Gatorade. Everytime we go to the store, I buy it. And, instead of buying cokes to keep around the house like I use to, I now buy Gatorade.. and drink atleast 1 a day. Ok, my question is.. Is Gatorade bad for you? And is drinking this much harmful? Should I cut down on any/all/how much?
Well first of all if you drink one bottle a day that's not bad at all. If you drank like 3 gallons a day yeah then i'd say you have something wrong with you. And gatorade is really healthy for you and keeps you hydrated. Also alot of people really like gatorade cause I work at my dad's store and people come in and buy like 3 bottle of gatorade. Just don't drink only gatorade
In this diet I am going on it says to eat two 3 counce protein servings. What would be some good protein servings foods? Also it says to to do two-three sets of each type of crunch (they give you a list of crunches) but only do as many reps in a row that you can do properly. Whats a set? explain this to me!
Also is a crunch like a sit up only like halfway up?

Tomorrow I have to get my first cavity done.. ever! I'm so scared because I know they have to numb your mouth with novocaine by putting a needle through your gum! I have such a fear of needles or anythign sharp but I still have to get this done. Does the shot really hurt that much? What can I compare the pain too! Thank you
Since I was like, 8 I have been getting fillings for cavaties. EVERYTIME I went to do one i would always cry and make my mom hold my hand during the needle and it would take me 20 minutes to finally let the dentist give me the novacaine. But when it actually went it, i was like "Thats what I was crying about" You hardly feel anything!
My mom made me a doctors appotment in August with a regualar pediatricion. (i'm 13)
I'm gonna get a physical or a check-up, I can't remember which one. Thing is, I havn't been to the doctor since I was 7 or 8. So, of course, I've gotten my period since then.
Will my doctor want to take a look "down there"?
