Party!
My friends are helping me plan my fourthteenth birthday party. The theme is: Black & White Socialite. :)
We're having a black carpet, music, lights, and it will be classy-casual. Does anyone have any other ideas we could use/ do for the party?

one thing that would make it really classy is if you had "fake cocktails" (i saw this on my super sweet sixteen on mtv) and you can hire people to make drinks that look like martinis or whatever, but don't actually have any alcohol in them. since your theme is black and white socialite (i love this theme, by the way) you could decorate by putting up black and white posters and stuff. these are fairly cheap, and the ones of audrey hepburn are gorgeous. as for attire, you might want to do cocktail attire because that seems kind of fitting to me. for party favors you could give the girls fake pearl necklaces :) that sounds fun to me. i hope your party goes swimmingly!

I'm addicted to the show My Super Sweet Sixteen on MTV, so I have a lot of ideas! The girls on the show usually hire a photographer to take pictures of the birthday girl & her friends. I would sugguest having your mom or dad take pictures with a digital camera. Then have the pictures be converted to black & white to match the theme. I think it would be really cute to have one of the pictures on the front of the invitations! Or maybe (if you are willing to spend a little bit more) you could have the pictures blown up and hang them around the room. On the invitation, make sure to tell people that the dress code is black & white. You should wear a color that stands out like pink or orange. That way everyone will know you are the birthday girl. Well on tables you can have all sorts of little bowls of black and white candy like:
1. Licorice
2. Marshmallows
3. Life Savers
4. Maybeeeeee dark chocolate?
Also for desert you should have OREOS!!
Some people may have different opinions on this idea: WRite on the invitation that you can only dress in black and white for the party.
