Ive started at a new school last week on september 8(im a freshman)in my old school i was the type of girl who hung out with guys alot and guys were always talking to me but here they dont ive only talked to like 3 guys that are in my classes and we dont evan talk in the halls!all im asking is that ive only been there for 5 days eventually when things start to like flowing better(cuz were all a lil confused still)do guys start talking to people more?

I was in the same situation, it's kind of hard to find your friends because you don't know the way around the school. I think you should make a quick map of the inside of the school (just as best as you can) and try to figure out different ways to get to your classes, and maybe you can see different people. Also, try hanging around your locker a little bit more. One of my friends who wasn't in any of my classes ended up having the locker right next to mine.

Besides identifiable sexual attraction, how can one tell the difference between a crush and great love for a friend? If a friend really wants physical contact with another friend, but not necessarily sex, what is that?

Love isn't just about sex. If you really want to kiss someone or hold their hand, then you might be in love with them. A way to tell if you love a friend or just really like them is this: Think about going to the movies with this friend (alone, on a date) and holding hands. If it's awkward to think about, then you just like him a lot. If it seems like that's something you want, then you love him.

i was thinking of babysitting for people..(most likely people i dont know) with a friend of mine..this way the job is easier. Is this a good idea? Do you think i`ll be successful? How should i get perfect strangers to trust me to babysit their kids...any tips? thank you :)

You and your friend should both take a Red Cross babysitting class (Go to your local red cross to schedule one). After you take the class, they give you a card saying that you are red cross certified, so if you show the parents the card, they might trust you with their kids.

See but ive had my child for almost 7 months now and im really attached and its gonna be so hard for me to just give it up to an adoption agency.I was abandoned and then found and gave to an adoption agency and I know how it is and how life will be and I don't want my child having to go down the same path that I went down but then again I also don't want it to be miserable with me either so i really don't know what to do

The thing is, you don't really have to worry about the baby having to live in an adoption agency for a long time, because everyone wants to adopt babies, and he will probably be adopted right away. You get attached to your baby, I know, which is normal for all mothers. But you have to choose which is more important. You seem really unhappy with the baby, since you say it has ruined your life.

You sound really unhappy. You're only 15, this is supposed to be the best time of your life, but you're stuck with a baby. If I was in your position, I would put it up for adoption. The sooner you give it up the better, because people would rather adopt a baby than a toddler.

Im goin out with a guy who is 2 years older than me and he lives an hour away and we can never see each other and our parents don't approve of the relationship.He can drive on his own in January so then we'll be able to see each other but as of right now we can't and well im not really sure if i should stay with cuz well shouldn't relationship partners be able to see each other at least once a week?or at least once every 2 weeks?Anyways there is this guy who lives in the same town as me and is only 15 minutes away and he really likes me and i kinda like him and well im not sure if i should dump the other guy and go out with this one or stay with the other one.Anyways I really need help so plz offer as much advice as possible...thanks....

It sounds like it isn't working out. You seem very sad that you never see your boyfriend. It's not worth feeling this way. I think you should break up with him. Tell him that you don't feel like you can handle a long distance relationship. Wait a few weeks to get over him, then go after the guy who lives in your neiborhood.

for a 7 year-old kid who's nice and who would listen to me (easy babysitting) how much shopuld i charge?

The thing is, it doesn't matter if the kid is an angel who will do what you say, or a horrible brat who refuses to eat dinner, you have to charge the same ammount for everybody's kid. People talk, and if word gets around that you charge someone else more, you're going to lose their business, and they will probably tell other people not to come to you.

What you charge depends on your age. If you're under 13, only ask for 1.50 and hour. 14 or 15-3.00 and hour. 16 and up-4.50 per hour.

Also think about who else babysits in your neighborhood. If the other babysitters are charging 2.50 and our, you don't want to charge 3.50 and hour or no one will come to you. Ask other people how much they charge, then go a little bit lower than them in price.

It's pretty much just luck. Usually, people won't ask you private questions unless they arn't registered for the site (people who aren't registered can't ask questions to everyone) so they probably either ask the day's featured columnist, or go to the columnist page. So I guess if you update often, you'll be at the top of the columnist page, and you will have a better chance of being asked private questions.

If you're going to judge someone based on their hight, then you arn't ready for a relationship. If you like this kid, don't worry about what other people will think, just worry about your happiness. One year older than you is not a big deal. When you get to high school, people go out with people who are 4 years younger than them.

what do skater guys like in gurls?

I know that they really hate it when girls pretend they can skate when they can't. I've talked to some, and they seem to like girls who are their own person, and don't freak out if they break a nail.

im a freshman going into catholic highschool. we normally have to wear uniforms, but we have orientation on sept 1 and we can wear our own clothes. they said they have to be "dressy/casual" yet approriate, like no skin showing and whatnot. does dressy/casual mean that you should wear nice pants, or can you wear jeans? and im into REALLY standing out, i like wearing stripes, polka dots, bold bright colors, jewelry, bows... what do you think i should wear on that day... without being "inappropriate"?

Dressy/casual basically means comb your hair and don't wear pajamas. A nice pair of jeans without holes and a top that covers everything is fine. Bright colors and jewelry should be fine too, just don't overdo it since it is a catholic school.

The iPod comes with really easy to follow instructions. It's not all in computer-language or anything. The music store where you can download music for 99 cents doesn't come on the ipod, it is on the internet, at itunes.com-that site has the music store and some iPod help. Other companies do make mp3 players, which also play music without a CD like the iPod, but they are kind of hard to use because they are so small. They do cost less though. You can download mp3's for free from lots of sites, but 1) it's illegal and you could get sued, and 2) they won't go on your iPod. If there's anything else you would like to know, ask away.

I have trouble gettin makeup to stay on for awhile like eyeshadow. Ne tips on how i can get it to stay on for awhile?

Experiment by buying lots of different brands of eyeshadow. Some will last longer than others. I know that good brands, like covergirl, last a long time.

ok i want a mini ipod but can someone tell me how they work and how u download the songs and do they cost anything 2 download...i dont know much about them and i went 2 the website and it was totally confusing...(btw this is a diff. person then asked the question about them earlier....)thanks!!!!

I have one, so I know how they work. To turn it on, you press the middle button. To move around, you move your thumb around the edges of the white circle-no need to press anything, it senses that your thumb is there. To select a playlist or song, you click the middle button. To download songs: The iPod comes with a cable that you hook up to your computer. It puts iTunes songs that are on your computer onto your ipod. If you want, you can buy songs for 99 cents from the iTunes music store, but you can also use CDs that you already have.

Are the new colored ipods any different that the original ones? (like other than the color, like do they do anything else?)

I have one, and the colored ones are smaller. They hold less songs than the original. The new ones have games, a calendar, and some other cool extras.

This is to the question you answered for me about my boyfriend going away. We were talking about college because I'm goin to be starting college on September 5th and he was suppose to too but he changed his mind yesterday and decided he is going to start the second half. He had me all upset and I was crying and trying to find a way he could take out loans and everything. We were in my car when I told him about the loans and he said he didnt want to take one out so I got upset and started crying again. He asked me to drop him off which got me a little mad because we don't have that much longer to be together untill I go away for 3-4 months. I told him I wasnt going to pick him up for the rest of the day again. I might of even said tomorrow in there also. So he shut his phone off at around 4 after he got out of my car n told me I was making it harder for him (not going the first semester) and so he has had his phone off the whole time still right nwo its off. I left him voicemails and he hasnt called. I know that his friend was going away 2 hours from here on vacationa nd coming home on Sunday but my boyfriend said he wasnt going to go unless I went because his friend is just going to be picking up girls the whole time. I called his sister this mornign ebcause Im friends with her n because my boyfriend didnt go to work this morning (he works for my dad) and she said he didnt go home last night but he went by her work with the kid thats on vacation. So I cant stop crying because I can't get a hold of him and plus I don't know if its over yet and its killing me inside. I just don't know what to do. I'm 18 and hes 19 and we have even planned on gettin married around 24ish. I called his friend too and he isnt answering his phone.

I understand now, that's a bit different. For him to do that was really rude and immature. I think you should think about if you really want to marry a guy who will go hook up with other girls just because you got in a fight. People fight a lot during marriage. It sounds like your boyfriend overreacts when you fight. You two deffinatley need to talk to each other when he gets back.

Is there any way to change the ratings other people have given you? Is there someone I can ask? Some of my ratings are SO unfair, ex:
- A person asked if Dickies would still be in style by the middle of the year. I said yes and also gave them a link for a new style of Dickies dresses. Turns out it was a guy, but how was I supposed to know?
- Instead of giving someone a long list of picture websites, I gave them my one favorite.
- Someone put "my head hurts!", don't know how THAT didn't get deleted but anyways, I made a joke about it and they rated me 1. Wish I could rate them back.

If a level 2 mod sees unfair feedback, they can change the rating. But remember, ratings arn't everything.

What do I do if my boyfriend went away on vacation and didn't tell me. He left 8/17 and wont be home untill 8/23. He shut his phone off too but I called his friend to see if he was wiht him and I could talk to him, but his friend isnt answering my 2-ways. At first I was crying and crying and crying and still I do because I don't understand how he could just up and leave and not tell me but now I'm kind of mad. What should I do? I've been with him for 6-8 months and I could marry this guy. Or so I thought.

It was wrong of him not to tell you he was leaving, but really, he's going to be gone for 7 days, not 7 years. It also might have been an emergency thing, one of his relatives might have gotten sick. If he's just going on vacations for leisure, then it was a bit inconsiderate, but I don't think you need to break up with him because of it.
