Q: what are the signs of a boy liking you?

lol um lets see...its difficult because boys know how they act when the really like us and so somtimes they sort of fake it just being flirts but if they are flirting with you basically id guess that means they like you right?
so.......
1. of you ever catch them staring at you
2. if they sort of start walking twords you but then they stop and turn around
3. if he shows off skateboarding or basketball or whatever when your there
4. if he blushes whan you touch him by accident. or if he smiles
5. if he teases you like playfully

There are many risk factors for diabetes, including:

Symptoms

Signs and tests

A urine analysis may be used to look for glucose and ketones from the breakdown of fat. However, a urine test alone does not diagnose diabetes. The following blood glucose tests are used to diagnose diabetes:

Fasting blood glucose level -- diabetes is diagnosed if higher than 126 mg/dL on two occasions. Levels between 100 and 126 mg/dl are referred to as impaired fasting glucose or pre-diabetes. These levels are considered to be risk factors for type 2 diabetes and its complications.
Random (non-fasting) blood glucose level -- diabetes is suspected if higher than 200 mg/dL and accompanied by the classic symptoms of increased thirst, urination, and fatigue. (This test must be confirmed with a fasting blood glucose test.)
Oral glucose tolerance test -- diabetes is diagnosed if glucose level is higher than 200 mg/dL after 2 hours (This test is used more for type 2 diabetes.)

Patients with type 1 diabetes usually develop symptoms over a short period of time, and the condition is often diagnosed in an emergency setting. In addition to having high glucose levels, acutely ill type 1 diabetics have high levels of ketones.

Ketones are produced by the breakdown of fat and muscle, and they are toxic at high levels. Ketones in the blood cause a condition called "acidosis" (low blood pH). Urine testing detects both glucose and ketones in the urine. Blood glucose levels are also high.

Q: 13/f.my really close friend is pretty, smart, has a boyfriend for 8 months and everyone loves her. i love her too and im in one of her classes. she tells me that she never studies, and she gets perfect grades. her lowest grade EVER was an 89. alot of the time shes always bragging about things, thats just an example. shes basically a teachers pet in every class and sometimes its annoying. i just wanna go right up to her and say how she really isnt perfect, and its ok to make mistakes.

you sound a lot like my friend rosie. she felt sort of like this about me, and when she explained it to me i completely saw her side. the thing was i felt like i needed to be perfect, and i had to PROVE that i was perfect to be loved but even though so many people where around me i still kind of felt hallow. and its because i was trying to hard. you need to tell this girl how you feel. tell her that the bragging is driving you insane.
she will either:
1. accept it and change
OR
2. say your being jelous
if she says your jelous her "perfectness" is really just hidden insecurity and your going to need to build up her self esteem.

Q: I’m 14 and I’m really pissed because I have next to no decent clothes. I’m not exactly wealthy, but my family’s *far* from being poor. Okay, I have about 8 blouses that I’ve collected through the years, two skirts and two pairs of jeans that fit, and that’s it. My mom grew up in a really poor part of Asia and immigrated here about 15 years ago, but even still, she has no idea what teenage girls are like. I asked her to let me get a nice pair of shorts from American Eagle (which was $40) and she got really mad and gave me this lecture about how I should be thankful that I have any clothes at all because when she grew up, she only had, like, two pairs of cotton pants throughout most of her childhood, and how she breaks her back trying to support our family and I’m just being a greedy spoiled brat. She refuses to buy me any article of clothing over $30. What makes me even more mad is that she still buys $50 worth of earrings for herself (she gets loads of really cheap jewelry on those TV jewelry channels) when she doesn’t NEED any new jewelry, yet she won’t let me buy a $40 pair of shorts.

The worst part about all this is the other kids at school. I go to one of those expensive private schools and all of the other girls at my school who have entire wardrobes filled with those fancy designer clothes from stores like Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, etc. I feel really ashamed next to everyone else because I don’t have many nice clothes at all. While all of these girls make monthly shopping sprees, I’m allowed two shopping trips a year. But even during these shopping trips, I can hardly find anything under $30 because nothing ever fits. Seriously, I’m way too skinny….my waistline is like, 22 inches and my hips are 27 inches. No, I’m not anorexic, it’s just the way I am. I don’t need any eating advice or anything, because there’s no way I’m going to diet and put on weight just to wear clothes. My pants size is 00 and my shirt size is XXS, and the only stores that carry anything flattering for really skinny people in those sizes are the expensive places, like Abercrombie. I would’ve ordered things online, but my mom doesn’t believe in shopping online-----she’s afraid someone will steal her credit card number.

I know this question might make me seem whiny and ungrateful and vain and spoiled because there are people dying in Darfur and I’m concerned about a pair of shorts, but still, it really makes me feel bad that I’m the only person in

i would suggest that you mix and match your wardrobe. maybe get a few basic T-shirts at Wet Seal and some neclaces from Forever 21 and use those to mix and match. also, Aeropostle has really cute things just like american eagle exept everything is like $10. and have you tried the 15$ store? thay have designer brands for 15$ no joke.

Q: so theres this guy and well we used to like each other. but over the previous summer we started to fight about stupid stuff and then he started dating one of my friends (this is actually the 3rd friend he has dated, but the first two were before we got close) but after he hooked up with her we stopped talking and i was so mad at him for blowing me off that i just stopped trying. now 8 months later he starts talking to me and i think that i might still have some feelings for him, even though i was so mad at him. Q: I've been broken up with my boyfriend for about 2 1/2 months now. no, it wouldent since the dress accentuates the waist more then the hips. i do like that dress very much but it depends on your body type and skin color. if your skin is a similar color to the dress i wouldent like it so much because i think you would look washed out and you want to stand out!
if you have light skin i think the Plum color owould look good on you. if you have dark skin try the beige unless its to similar to your skin tone and then if it is try the blush. if you tell me wich dress you pick ill help you with hair and makeup and shoes and everything if you need. the second dress is WOW! its beautifull but it depends on the occasion. also depending on your skin i might not like the dress on you. but wow that dres is gorgeous and i love it. but i think the second dress would look better on me then the beige, it alldepends on your skin. want to describe yourself to me? than i can maybe help you out a little more but this is my best for the information given

Q: Ok. So there's this guy (I know I know I can just hear you all sighing and going "yeah yeah yeah"). And we have a history. You see, it all started when my best friend, we'll call her Quin, wanted to take pictures of me and this guy, we'll call him Persey, for her photography project. Well in the pictures she wanted to do a strip (a series of pictures) and in the strip she had us kiss each other on the cheek. A couple of weeks after that, he asked her for my AIM name. We started talking. We flirted online for about two weeks and it seemed to be going pretty well...but then my best friend, who had had a crush on this guy for like 3 months before we even took the pictures, decided to totally tell him that I liked him. We had a very awkward conversation online in which he said "im ok with it really" and we kinda flirted some more. But the thing is, I'm not sure if he had been flirting with Quin as well over the past few weeks. Ok this was last Tuesday. Wednesday he was sick from school and wasnt online, and same thing with Thursday and Friday. Last night I'm pretty sure he went to Winter Formal with this other chick who is totally preppy and under all definitions fits the word "Abercrombiotch". I'm not positive they went together, but I couldnt go to formal and I dont know for sure. But I know if they went together they must have fallen in love, it was in this old barn and it was raining and it was all romantic. i wouldent worry about him and Abercombiotch. he dosent like her. your friend was mean to tell this boy that you like him. in my opinion, he was only flirting with you and not her and she got jelous so she decided to screw everything up. i would maybe talk as friends a little bit online and then start the flirting thing again. good luck!

walk by him with your friends and have on of your friends drop all her stuff. that way you dont look like a clutz but you xan still stop in front of them. either they will come help u pick it up (unlikely) or they iwillstop talking or sumthing. then go over and talk to him. be like hey and thats all. then the next class period ask him for an assignment. or what the homework was. ask him questions like this all the time. then get his screen name from somone. talk to him online. find out his mySpace. stuff like hat. get to know him. good luck!!

Q: There's this guy that I've known for almost 5 years now. We've been pretty good friends for about 4 years. I've liked him for 2/3 years =/. we never went out and we don't see eachother that much, since he doesn't go to my school. We've always been good friends but we never really hung out.
