Ok well i went over to my friends house the other day and we smoked a cigerrette. It was my first time ever b/c i was to scared to do it before. But at first i took a rele small breath and rele didn't taste anything, and then after i got use to it i took bigger breaths. I kno usually when sum1 first trys a cigerette they cough, feel dizzy, or wanna throw up. But when i first tried it i rele liked it and wanted more. So my friends lit another and i helped smoked that and i still wanted another one..but thats was ebough. So now it's the next day and i wanans moke again. im rele scared bc/ i wanna do it again rele rele bad but i don't wanna get addicted or get lung cancer. What should I do.. please help? cna't i smoke for like a couple more weeks then stop..i mean i'm a teen and wanna hav fun and not always be good. thanks (link)

If you're only smoking because you want to have fun, you should probably find another way to do it. And this advice is coming from a person who smoked heavily for about two years, so don't think I'm a hypocrite or anything. Every time you have another cigarette, you run the risk of becoming addicted and you also increase your chances of having health related problems that are known to be related to smoking. Since you say you're having doubts about whether you really want to do it or not, chances are you really don't and you're just doing it to fit in better with your friends. And whoever it was that said to buy nicotine patches after you've only smoked three cigarettes was wrong because that's just begging to get hooked on the patches. They are, indeed, expensive and have probably got a higher nicotine content than you're used to having in your body. Especailly if you don't inhale.

im 17/f and i have a little acne on my face. the only place i get them is on my forehead and especailly my chin. i was wondering if anyone knew of any good acne products that arent real expensive? what the product is called, how much it costs, how good it works, and where i can find it? thanks so much! I use just regular soap and water to wash my face around three times a day. Ususally after I wash my face I put some rubbing alcohol on a kleenex and wipe that on the spots where I've got breakouts. It's pretty cheap and as long as you don't over-use it, your skin won't dry out too badly.

If it's like a camping thing... just take stuff that's comfortable for outdoors or indoors, but nothing too junky lookin'. If it's just a barbeque type thing, then wear some jeans with a cute shirt or maybe even a denim skirt if you have one. If you think it might rain, make sure it's not something that you can see through if it gets wet and something that you don't mind getting wet.

i recently got kicked out of my house, illegally, by my dad. i had a job before i left, and i was friends with a guy there. i had a cell phone on my dad's plan- but he screwed me over too many times with the bill, and he always questioned me about who's numbers were who's. well, this guy offered to put me on his plan- because he's get the phone for free- and if anything- i'd be helping him out- with the bill and all- cuz weve been splitting in directly in half- no matter who goes over. ive had it for maybe 6 or 7 months. but since ive ben kicked out- i lost my job- and another guy at work has been paying my phone bills for me- (the last 3 months). my gramma- who i live with- has never liked the idea of me having a phone on someone else's plan. well, lastnight- we got into an argument about it- and we fought. like, physically. she told me i could keep the phone until monday- but that i had to give it back to him then. i feel horrible- but i just need to know- does she in fact have the right to do that?- i mean, she's not my legal guardian- and the phone was given to me- it's not like i begged for it.my phone is my only bit of freedom here- and i cant live without it. someone please share what you think. The guy can't get in trouble for giving a phone to a minor. Your grandma's just telling you that so she'll get her way and you'll give the phone back to the guy who got it for you. You should probably try to look for another job so you can continue to pay your half of the phone bill, and it'd probably be a good idea to try to repay the guy who paid your bill for the three months you were unemployed. Money's not worth the possibility of losing a friend over.

My brother is so disgusting. He's 19 .. almost 20 and he NEVER flushes the toilet *we share a bathroom* After he shaves he leaves all the little hairs all in our sink. He farts in public and burps randomly. Ive talked to my parents about this but he ignores them when they tell him to stop!

Honestly, I think you should feel sorry for him. He's almost 20 years old and still behaves like he's the one in junior high. I bet he doesn't have a girlfriend, does he? If he does, she's probably equally as disgusting.... But I would reccomend showing your parents the mess he makes in the shared bathroom. They can't MAKE him stop passing gas in front of people, but if he's still living in their home full-time, he should have to abide by the same rules you do.. with any luck they'll make him clean up his own mess and it won't happen again.

Dating behind your parents' back never works well in the end. If they figure out what you're doing, you won't be allowed to date until you're like 45... Depending on how old you are, it might be possible to compromise with them. I bet they're just scared that you'll end up dating some guy that's a scumbag... Maybe if your family and the guy (or girl)'s family got together with your family for dinner, or maybe you could talk them into letting you and your date watch a movie in the living room while they ate dinner in the kitchen or dining room. I bet if they got to know the guy (or girl) you want to date, they'd probably be okay with it.

ok my mom is WICKED over protective. tonite i wanted to go to this little concert thats going on at 6:30 about 20 minutes away. I asked her if i could go with my older cousin and shes like "well you didnt even tell me what time or where.." and i told her where and shes like "NO WAY" and it seems like she's totally against the people that live there ( even though they arent bad) and plus I was meeting up with some of my friends there. My mom's the same way... You could probably convince her to let you go if you went in the same car with one of your friends. Like, if she drove you and your friend there and picked you up when the show was over. You might try putting off activites out of town until you get a drivers liscense, though. It's easier to get a ride in town and you don't have to worry about standing there waiting to be picked up for ever and ever.. If you found stuff to do in your town, you could use the argument that mom is no more than 5 minutes drive or a phone call away if you need something. Hope this helps a little.

What I reccomend is that you casually go up to your stepmom and ask her nicely if she could please pick up some extra pads for you the next time she's at the store. It's like killing two birds with one stone, you nonchalantly tell her that you get your period and you get a supply of pads for yourself.

I'm going into high school this year as a freshman, and I'm SO nervous. I'm scared that I won't have anyone to talk to and I won't do well in my classes (I got all honors), so can anyone please tell me what high school is like ? High School's not as big of a deal as you think it'll be. I'm gonna be junior when school starts this year. The classes vary depending on what kind of schedule your school is on. The kinds of teachers you'll have depend a lot on the class you're in and what kinds of kids are in the class. Since you're in all honors classes, you shouldn't have much of a problem with kids acting up in your classes. Those kids will probably all be in the gen. ed. classes. As for doing well in classes, do all of your work, turn it all in, and make a half-assed effort at participating during class. Making friends comes a lot easier to you if you try not to worry about it so much. If you're just yourself, you'll meet people who like you for you, not because you did something to impress them.

More than likely, it doesn't mean anything. You were 5 and 7 years old... Even by today's standards, that's a little too young to know much about sex or anything like that. You've probaby been thinking about it because you're at the age where your sexuality is a major issue and are maybe even a little embarassed by your childhood escapades. It's no big deal and I'm sure you'll look back on those days and laugh one day.

Okay, first of all, you should expect to get it once every month, or once every 28 days from the time the last one stopped. I would reccomend counting it out on the calander just to make things easier on yourself. Keep in mind that it might be irregluar since you just got it, but there's really no rule that says it HAS to come at the beginning, middle, or end of the month. It comes when it's time for it to, which is usually every 28 days.

You should buy some bright colored paper so your flyers stand out to people looking at them. You should definatly put your name, phone number, best times to reach you, and what your qualifications are. You probably shouldn't put your address or a picture of yourself on the flyer because that's just kinda dangerous in this day an age. You don't want a child molester knowing where you live and what you look like.

I just inserted my first tampon about an hour and 15 minutes ago. Well, half of the string is covered in blood and i still have blood dripping out into a pad. Why is it doing this? IS the tampon full already?? I used a playtex gentle glide regular if it helps. I also have a heavy flow. Should i take the tampon out or what? (link)

If you've got a heavy flow, you need to change the tampon more often than if you have a light flow. Once you get used to wearing tampons, you'll be more comfortable with knowing how often is often enough to change it. You definatly shouldn't wait until it's leaking to change it because that could possibly lead to medical complications like TSS. Which is bad.

ok i have a really big problem. i wear a training bra and any tank tops, short sleeve shirts, or really light fabriced shirts i wear, my bra shows ALOT. and also the even bigger problem is on tank tops, my bra has a higher up arm hole so you can like see the bra alot on the arms. this has stopped me from buying new clothes, and i always try to look for the clothes that cover me up the most!! im so mad cauuse I just want to be confident and free about myself and not worry about this! its all i think about. yes, dont say ask my mom cause she always asks "well why are you being so mad, whats the problem" whenever i pass the opportunity to buy a perfectly nice shirt!its cause im too embarresed to tell her about it. the only reason i have a bra is cause my mom bought me 2 old navy ones like a long time ago and they like hardly fit me.please dont make fun of me, i really want to feel good about myself and not have me bra practically in full view. I think someone before me already said this, but you should definatly buy some new bras. Maybe it's time to stop wearing the training bras and start wearing regular bras. Most regular bras are cut lower on the sides than training bras, so that would eliminate that problem. I would also reccomend trying on your shirt over the bra to make sure it doesn't show.

I used to bite my nails all the time... What I did to finally stop is making sure that I had my nails painted at all times. It was just too disgusting to end up with all those chips of paint in my mouth from chewing my nails off, so I eventually stopped. This was the only thing that worked for me, so I hope it helps you too. :)

ok so last summer i got a haircut rite? it came out HORRIBLE, too WAY TOO short! i was so embaressed. so i went to a professional place and it got even worse. i was ALWAYS getting made fun of and i hated it. well the past school year i whore my hair up every single day! now i want my hair to grow really long but since the last haircut i got was a year ago, i dont think my hair will grow. i dont want to "get a trim" cause i want it to grow! should i just snip a tiny bit of hair off myself? please help! You should either go to a professional or have someone else cut your hair for you. It's pretty hard to see the back and get it even at the same time. If you don't have split ends, you probably should probably just leave it alone, but if you do have split ends, just have it cut off enough to get rid of the split ends.

14/f i am going to be a freshman in highschool next year and when i get ready for school i just put my hair in a ponytail and jeans and a oversized sweatshirt. i dont take the time to get ready because my bus comes at 6:00a.m. and i dont like to wake up early. but for highschool i want to look good. not perfect...just put together. what are some ways that i can do my hair and waht style of clothes should i wear that are simple, dont take too much time to look nice (so i can sleep in alittle) and not have to wake up at 5:00. thanks! ill rate! For your clothes, I would reccomend some cute tshirts that are maybe a little more fitted than an oversized sweatshirt. Nothing too revealing, but not too baggy either. For the fall, some cute denim skirts and capri pants would look great. You can dress that kind of thing up or down depending on the occasion. Instead of the oversized sweatshirt, you could get some cute sweaters instead. For hair, you could try leaving it down or maybe putting it up in a messy bun.. All you have to do with that is brush it after you get out of the shower, no drying or anything.

You should call him back if you really want to talk to him. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask him why he hasn't been calling you back when he said he would. That's kind of rude, in my opinion. It could be that he really does want to talk to you and has just run out of intelligent things to say. Perhaps he just doesn't call back because he's afraid of sounding like an idiot, or seeming desperate. I would definatly ask about this, though.

I'm not even gonna comment on the age factor here because it should be painfully obvious that there's something wrong with it... but if you don't feel 100% ready to have sex with this guy, you shouldn't do it. If you have any doubts at all, you'll regret it later if you do it just to impress the guy. And I agree with you.. 12 is a little young...

I made the cheerleading squad this year and i love it.. but our coach said any girls that argued or talked about each other behind their baQs or caused drama were going to be kicked off the squad.. and there is a girl on the squad that is so mean to me.. she makes fun of me but says she is just pickin but it bothers me and she says rude stuff that makes me mad.. but i havent said anything to her about it because i'm afraid it will make her mad and start a fight but i'm rele tired of being treated like that... wut should i do?!? You should try confronting this girl about her behavior towards you before you go to the coach. If she doesn't knock off crap, you should tell your coach about what's been going on. Your coach made the no-drama rule for a reason, and your situation sounds like the perfect example of why the rule was created. If the girl who's bothering you doesn't feel the need to abide by the rules, she shouldn't be on the squad.
