I'm a senior 18/m and I've liked this freshman girl the whole school year. She's in one of my classes and sometimes I see her around school and the movies and stuff. I think she likes me, and we've hung out before, just as friends. Were pretty close and I just want to maybe have a chance with her before I go off to college. How do I get this chance and is it even worth it?

ok so my friend is having a lauau sweet 16..so am i but a week later. lets say she has the grass skirt things you put around the table or some other cool decoration. is it tacky for me to ask to use it for mine? we arent best friends and we dont hang out outside school really..but we are friends if that helps
No, I don't think its tacky. I would do it! Especially if you two are close. Its not like she's just an aquaintance and you're asking to borrow some party decorations. No, you guys are friends, and have the same taste.

Ive been friends with this guy for a long time. He goes to my church and my school. We're really fond of eachother. Well..i think he likes me..but i dont think he wants to say nething. Like we talk alot at church and on aol..and at our school dance.he asked me to dance. Well my friends dont like the idea of liking him. They ask me all the time if i do..and i always say no so theyll stop bothering me. I think theyre jealous because hes a really cool and nice guy. But i think something will happen between me n this guy. What do i do about my friends.. i think theyll get mad? I feel bad..because it hink one of them likes him. Also how do i find out if this guy likes me?
Maybe you should keep your friends out of this for awhile. Its your life, and if you have a thing for him, no one should discourage you for liking him. If you think you like him, then go for it. Maybe one day, casually ask him if he wants to go get food or something. Just be like "Hey, wanna get some food after [church]?" and if he says yes, just hang out with him. If you feel comfortable asking him if he likes you (in private, on AIM, etc.) then ask him. If not, just ask him if he wants to do something later, or whatever. But don't worry about your friends. If you like him, then it shouldn't matter what they think.

Ok i know im kidna old but I had a babysitter kind of coem ovr after school till my dad comes home. Shews was 21 and really cool, im 13. Last week she left and i was really sad i cried, i know this is wierd but do you guys think im over reacting. She came everyday for 2 years.
No, I don't think you're over reacting. According to you, she was cool and it seems you really liked her. Maybe not as a babysitter, but as a friend to hang out with. Its kind of like if you see your friend everyday and then all of a sudden they move. It can be sad. Unless she moved far away, maybe you should call her up and tell her you've missed having her around and if you two can do something.

I just bought a Lacoste shirt off ebay and it arrived in the mail today. I'm having doubts to whether it is truely authentic or not. The seller confirmed that it was authentic with Devenlay on the wash tag- it doesn't. It has two pearly-type buttons..It looks plastic but it also looks shiny and pearly. The alligator is kind of big. There is not care label..on one of the labels, though, it says "Designed in France. Made in Peru. Hecho en peru. RN 87551-CA 15998. The tag says that it is the caiman style. Can anyone give me more info to wether it is authentic or not? Thanks
Hmm... I can't really tell you if its fake or not, but if it is, I'm pretty sure you can report him for saying its authentic when its really not. Also, you should get your money back. If you're younger, maybe have your parents look into having him reported, etc.

me adn my friend brooke spend an auwfull lota time together.. and people are starting to call us twins... we look nothing alike.. well kinda i guesss tall and blond hair... we both hate it so much and always say no we don't!! but people just keep saying it !! ugh ..what should we do~!
Well, unless you both want to walk around with signs on your back saying "WE'RE NOT TWINS!" theres really nothing you guys can do. Just tell the people who frequently call you that, to stop. But you guys still might get people coming up to you guys for the first time to say it... just either ignore the comment, or tell them you don't like it.

for my sweet 16 im inviting 100 people and we are gonna party in a big party room at this hotel. afterwards we are swimming in the indoor pool for an hour..problem is on my invitation it invites everyone to come to the pool after, and a few of my friends think its a good idea to only invite a certain amount of ppl to the pool so it isnt crowded and it will be funner. Problem is the invitations are printed and ready to be handed out tomorro..i would have to redo all the invitations and only select my close friends to come..im worried people will be hurt and it will cause drama. what are your opinions? should i invite everyone, only a certain amount of people? my mom says not to "discriminate" and that everyone should go to the pool after. im stuck in the middle of my mom and my friends because both have valid points
I think you should just leave the invitations. I'm sure not everyone is going to swim anyways. Just make sure your close friends are able to get in first. If it starts getting crowded, I'm sure security will come down and stop more people from coming in. If people get mad, just tell them there was nothing YOU could do about it.

If you don't like wavy/thick hair, you can always buy a hair straightener and go from there. The internet has some great hairstyle pictures that you can do yourself. Maybe get it layered and highlighted or something. Or side swept bangs would look killer too!

I'm graduating high school in 2 weeks. My friends and I are planning a summer trip together. We are debating on weather to go to the Bahamas or touring around Eurpoe. Which would y'all do?
For this question, you're going to get many different answers. Some people are going to want to spend the trip in the tropics, while others are going to want to explore the wonderful Europe. I, myself would probably want to go to the Bahamas (its a beautiful place by the way. The Atlantis is a very cool place!). If it gets down to the point where you can't decide, you can always make a pros and cons list, lol. But I'm sure you'll have fun wherever you guys go.

I really really like this guy named Mitch and he's just the nicest guy I've ever met before. He used to be friends with my older sister. He's been telling me he likes me, and like on aim always makes those kissing faces. Problem is; he's 21! I'm only 15. I know it's a huge difference and it's illegal. I don't think its such a great idea. Not only is there a big age difference, its also illegal. You should tell him that. Theres only a few reasons why a 21 year old would want to go out with a 15 year old, and they're not good reasons. He's able to do so much (since he's now 21) and you're still 15. I think he needs to find someone his own age.

My Bride's maids and I bought their dresses today. I fell in love with these dresses right when I saw them. I showed them to my father today and he said that he did not like them at all. I felt horrible once he told me because I like them so much. Now, I don't know whether to keep them or to get ones that my dad also likes. What do y'all think?
Were there ones similar to the ones you bought that you also liked? If so, have your dad go with you and help pick them out with you. They might not be the ones you fell in love with, but if your dad's opinion means a lot to you, he'll be happy and you'll be happy.

I just got this really cute shirt last night and I put it in the washer for my dad to wash and it just came out..The shirt SHRUNK like crazy! There's also a big bleach stain on it!! What can I do??? I'm soo mad!
That totally sucks! You can try returning it, it won't fit you anyways (or you don't like the way it fits). If they give you any beef, just tell them you're not happy with this shirt or brand and you want your money back. Hurry up before its too late though (some companies have a strict returning policy).

Well, my sister's friend on my bus has a crush on me. It's weird cuz our eyes always lock with each other. She is a freshman and I am a sophmore. What should I do? Whenever I talk to her I can't look at her straight in the eyes and I just don't know why. It's been this way since the beginning. I think you DO like her! And you even said she likes you. Just talk to her! Be natural, calm and yourself. If that doesn't work, maybe you can ask your sister to help you out a little (explain to her that you're nervous). Maybe she'll tell her friend that you get nervous around her because you like her. Maybe she'll make a move and talk to you and you won't be that nervous.

I think humor is a good quality, and for a lot people its attractive. So what if she doesn't think he's hott in looks? It would be pretty shallow if she did think he was hott and that was the ONLY reason she was going out with him. Maybe his personality makes up for it. But he is taken now, and unfortunately your friend has him. Do you know for a fact that he likes you still? Has he told you that while he's been with his girlfriend? If so, you should talk to him about it. Ask him, then why are you still with her. You should get some answers from him. If you just think that he still likes you and he hasn't actually said it, you should back off for awhile. You don't actually know for a fact. Just stay friends with him, and if things don't work out between them, you'll always be there for him.

Okay.. I'm an advice colomnist for this but i don't have advice for myself...But i might have ADD.. This Tuesday I'm going to get tested.Like their gonna make me do all these word problems and stuff. And i feel like a weirdo or a physco when their doing this. Like i might have either ADD or ADHD. And i'm gonna feel so dumb when they make me do these questions...Does any have advice for me?
Don't feel dumb! Its not like you're the only person who's ever had to do this. A lot of people have ADD/ADHD (I need to get tested for it to). There are even celebrities who have ADD (Mary-Kate Olsen in particular). Just relax and be calm. If you have it, just know that knowing, and them knowing will make things a little easier for you. If you're into vintage style, thrift/vintage stores are always a great idea. Also, Wal*Mart, K-Mart, Ross, Marshalls has some great clothes. And if you have those little fashion boutiques in the area (usually the store names are like "Fashion 2 U" or "Fashion Plus" or "24/7 fashion" etc.) those are some good places.

so im having a sweet 16 and im inviting 64 girrls...but only 40 guys or something like that. a lot of those guys are guys i dont talk with often so im guessing more guys (like 20 ) wont show up. should i invite other guys just so i have a good amount of guys at the party?
Well, if you do know other guys, then you should invite them. But don't go asking random guys if they'll show up to your Sweet 16 (unless, you like that sort of thing). I don't think its that big of a deal--that theres less guys then girls. And just like the guys, some girls might not show up either. Don't sweat it. Just have fun.
Also, maybe you can have a few girls bring dates? I don't know how it all works, I never had a Sweet 16.

There's this at my school who's in 6th grade & I'm in the 7th..he asked me out yesterday. He's really sweet but he has a reputation for breaking up with girls because he likes someone else. And I also have 2 weeks of school left..and I dont really wanna go out with someone for 2 weeks. He said he would keep up with me over the summer..But I dont know what I should do or beleive? I wouldn't want to do the "2 week" thing either. Its pointless, so why waste your time, right? Just tell him you aren't interested and you would still like to be friends with him. No one is forcing you to go out with anyone.
