I want to make a pie for my friends on pi day, because it's funny and dorky and this monday (3/14!) but I've never made a pie before. What's the easiest pie to make?
I think to think that all pies are equal in terms of difficulty (ensuring that only basic crusts are used). If you want one of those neat pies with the criss-crossed tops it's probably harder to make, but I would make a regular pie (of any flavor) and cut the symbol for pi in the upper crust.
My family is extremely well off money wise. And so are the kids that go to my high school but my family kind of has more money then most of the people in our neighborhood.
Well, I've been talking to a few girls at school about our prom dresses and theirs are around 200-500 dollars. Well, I found the perfect dress but it's 1,500 dollars. I'm supposed to go buy it this weekend but there's a problem. It's not that we can't afford the dress, because we can and my parents think that it's a good amount to pay for it. It's that I don't want to be the only girl there that paid over a thousand dollars for a Prom dress. I don't want people to talk about it or anything.
Should I get the dress even though it's 3 or 4 times more than what everyone else is going to pay for theirs?
If you think it'll make you uncomfortable I wouldn't do it. Perhaps you can find a similiar dress for less (or the same dress used). Then you could tell your family that you bought your "perfect dress" (if they haven't seen it) and do something with the left-over money that you really feel is right like donate it to a shelter or buy dresses for other girls who wouldn't be able to go to the prom otherwise.
i'm currently a freshman in my second semester of college and i have a problem staying awake in my classes, even if i get adequate hours of sleep the night before!
i've tried drinking coffee during class (despite the caffeine, has not worked for me), bringing munchies, having a water bottle, doodling on my notebook, and vice versa. basically anything to keep me busy and awake! all of my attempts have failed...any ideas?
what do you wear to class?
if it's cold in the building and you're in sweats you're going to fall asleep because you're comfortable. I found this out the hard way during the ACT (first time, I still beat the national average by 8). Being cold will make you more alert (for me anyway).
also, nap between classes. I've heard from friends in college that it works well to calm the cravings to sleep during class unless your class goes late and you're still in there during nap time.

I was just putting in some new clean bedding for my rabbit and I reached into the hay bag and a very sharp bit of hay got stuck in my hand, about 3mm in. I pulled it out and it bled. I've washed it and put a plaster on but I was wondering if I can catch any kind of infection from that? It's clean hay and I've had my tetanus jab. Should I put antiseptic cream on? And now or when it's healed a little?
you're probably perfectly fine unless a teeny tiny piece got lodged in your skin during the removal. But it sounds like you pulled it all out immediately so just wash it with antiseptic often and you'll be fine.
Does anyone have or had scoliosis? and had to have surgery?? if so what was it like? thanks!

My curve was pretty bad, but I didn't have surgery. It's a totally bad option. I was told I'd need it so I talked to my doctor and we arranged physical therapy. The physical therapy was really quick and easy and it's kept scoliosis away since then. You should ask about it. It's more expensive but better in the long run. You're not alone; millions go through it.
OK i am going to paris on march 12 for a week with my school and i was just wondering if like anyon new the weather there at that time in march. Is it true that when you go in to the lue that you arnt souspose to show any skin. What time of clothes do they were lyk brown and blacks. Do they were a like pinks and yellow?

LOUVRE. LOUVRE. not lue, that's stupid. it's the LOUVRE. Shorts, hats, short skirts, shirts without sleeves and anything of that nature should not be worn into the Louvre out of respect for the art. You could probably get away with it, but the francois will call you a stupid americainne (american) behind your back. If you can stand this then go for it.
When in France it's a good idea to speak only french. The francois (french people) look more kindly on those that know francais (french).

Whitney are doing a social studies fair project and we are doing it on Hershey's, like the history and stuff. we have searched the internet sooooo so so much we have been to like every site there is about hersheys!!....does anyone know any good sites or know anywhere that we could buy Hershey's shirts?

seriously, go to this place called a library, ask anyone there for books about Hershey's chocolate and READ THEM. It doesn't take long, just takes effort.
Hey, okay this is kinda weird for me to ask...but is it wrong for you to have a bf, or well, not a bf..but I mean at my skewl when you say bf, it's someone you just say you're goin out with, and not actually do anything besides hold hands, and im not sure but maybe kiss..at school...thats it..so is it wrong for you to have one without your parents' permission...like,i mean, not the kind where i haven't asked them cause I'm afraid of their answer, I mean I haven't asked them cause I KNOW their answer, because their not American and they have values and all that...but see I was raised in an American or International way, and so at my school...and there's this guy I like on and off..and he flirts with me...and all that. but even for the future..an I asked my sister if it's okay with her anyway coz even though she's not allowed she had 2 before without my parents finding out, but she said no, it's better not to...so is it okay for me to go ahead when they've all said no, because it's not fair, and it's my life..and even though I'm young, I know it has nothing to with age, they will never let me have a bf in their right minds...i dunno...life is pretty horrible for me right now..my parents are really mean besides that too...so i'm confused. imho, if you can't go up to your parents and just come outright saying that you have a boyfriend you're too immature to handle one. I would open the idea to them slowly. For instance, I wasn't supposed to date until 16, I'm 15 now. When my friend asked me to homecoming this year I just told my mom outright that we were going together. She was a little sad that I'm growing up so fast but she accepted it. So I would reccommend going on some group-type dates with this boy and your friends then slowly eliminating friends until your parents realize it's okay and something they have to accept.
Every time i chew something like gum or a meal..my jaw pops/clicks. Anybody know why..or how to stop this? thanks a bunch!
you should probably immediately see a doctor/dentist. Jaw "clicking" is an early sign of TMJ which I had and it's not cool to be in the middle of an attack. When you have TMJ, grinding your teeth at night causes your jaw muscles to clench up and become horribly sore. Because of this you can't exactly open your mouth. It's terrible. When you go to a doctor/dentist he/she will probably fit you for a retainer to wear at night until your stress (which is a major trigger) calms down.
oh, and you should probably stop chewing gum. It caused my first attack.
Every time someone says I wanna go to Mardi Gras, I'm always like "ME TOO!" but the truth is, I don't know exactly what its for and what you do there. I've only seen clips of people partying on the street... I think it would be fun, but what is it your doing and is it some type of celebration of some sort? It looks fun, but what is it?
Mardi gras literally means Fat Tuesday en francais. It's always the day before Ash Wednesday and celebrated traditionally by eating special foods like King's Cake (frosted bread containing a coin or little toy doll; the "winner" finds the coin/doll). A lot of special foods. On Ash Wednesday, the first day of the season of Lent in Christian churches, people remember what Christ died for and traditionally give things up for 40 days until Easter to be more like him.
I've figured out that i am bi...but i am a christian..and i realize how wrong it is...and i hate myself for it...im trying to change myself.....but its hard for me to completely stop liking guys....but its so wrong...in the bible it says that doing stuff with another guy is an abomination..and they should be destroyed..that scares me..so i am trying to fight it off..i have a gf...and she's helping me thru it too...but my ? is...is it really wrong to be bi?..
this would be a good thing to discuss with your pastors/ministers. They're there for a reason. Ask them. You don't even have to tell them about your orientation, just say you have friends and they asked you.
Lately, I've been having a lot of "what if I can't do it?" moments.
I recently got the lead in our school musical, and it was my first time auditioning for this school's performance (I transferred in as a sophomore, and I'm a senior.)
I feel like I'm letting everyone down because I'm having trouble getting the dances. I'm a singer - like, majorly. I sing opera, that's what I'm going into - and I can act rather well, I think. But I don't dance. I can jazz dance and ballet, but not musical theater. It's just not working, lol.
I also have a lot going on. I have a couple scholarship auditions coming up, another performance, and that, and I'm in the middle of two competitions, all vocal. I always worry that I'm letting the cast down because I don't think I'm that good. I can't get rid of any of my obligations. As it is, I never see my boyfriend. I have a date tonight at like 9, after work, and this is the first time I've seen him out of school in the past 3 weeks or so. Any ideas as to how to fix my confidence issue and/or the stress problem?
as far as the dancing goes, practice at home (when/if you have time). By practicing at home I do not mean do the choreographed dances for the musical, just dance. Let yourself go and move the way you want to. It also helps remove stress.

If it's that style of writing that appeals to you I'd check the young adult section of the nearest bookstore or ask a librarian. Diary-style novels that teach lessons and whatnot come dime-a-dozen. One just has to look.

It's a bit like my birth certificate which states that I was born on May 23rd, but registered as born on the 25th. It just means that your actual certificate wasn't authorized as a valid birth until that day; your parents probably had tax problems before it was registered.

before grounding him I think you should have a talk with him and ask him whose idea all of this was. He could've been being molested. I would also IMMEDIATELY talk to the 17-year-old about why she was over and exactly what happened.
I heard that Pagan origionally meant "country" - referring to the places where the earth religions were slower to die out in favor of Christianity. Either way, though, its' modern common useage is as a general term for any sort of reconstructionist/indiginous earth religion, like Wicca (reconstructionist) or Native American Shamanism (indiginous). There was a drive before the 2004 census for all the followers of such religions to enter "pagan" on the form in order to get a reasonably accurate count of the people in that community, so it's definitely an operational definition.

First, to answer your question, I am not pagan. This is because I am a christian. Pagan is the general word for any non-christian. It is NOT a religion. There aren't any belief systems attached with paganism. It's strictly a word describing non-christians which may include everything from muslims and buddhists to Wiccans and Satanists.

I have intense hair flaking. The skin on my scalp is coming off and causing dandriff. Its really gross and a few people asked me if I had lice and I said no its just hairspray but the fact is I dont even use hairspray.. This is really gross and Im constantly worrying about it so I dont know what I should do..
I would check with a dermatologist before using anything suggested in this thread. The whole bit with dandruff shampoos is that sometimes they work too well and dry your scalp. Then you're itchy and you scratch and get (ta da!) worse dandruff. So definitely check with a dermatologist on your personal scalp-skin type and what would work best.
We have to turn a book report in every 2 months for english class. And in the other class alot of people read the book called the oddessy or whatever. I was wondering like what is it about? cuz i dont want to waist my time on that if its not good so do you recommend?
Since you called me a "tard" you're probably ridiculously immature. And since you can't spell "because" you're probably stupid. Also, it's "waste" not "waist". A waist is the area of curviness above the hips. And I said you were in middle school because of your abhorent vocabulary usage, also you said "the oddessy of whatever". For these reasons The Odyssey is probably a billion times over your head and you'd miss the subtleties if you read it in any part. Also, you probably wouldn't finish it because you probably have no reading patience (also taken from your lexicon). A good reader is a good writer who puts effort into every bit of writing, informal or not. Therefore, it can be assumed that you're a bad reader and should not read "the oddessy or whatever".
Since you have to do a book report, you're probably in middle school. In this case, The Odyssey is not for you. It's basically the story of Odyssius on the way home from the Trojan war. Not only is it one of the greats ever but it's tremendously difficult to comprehend - especially at 13-14 as you probably are. If you so chose The Odyssey it would take you much longer than 2 months to totally read it, then you'd have to analyze every tiny detail. It's one of those. At this point you're most likely rolling your eyes and thinking either 1) that's stupid or 2) this girl thinks I'm an idiot, I'm not rating her and possibly some combination of them both. I don't care, I answered your question.
I just experienced a pretty bad break-up, which I'm finding it hard to get over, as I keep bumping into my ex at school and when I go out. Should we ignore each other? I would like to be friends, but things are just really awkward at the moment.
I would back away for a while or so until the weirdness goes away then one day just start talking to him/her. Or you could confront him/her with the weirdness and come to a compromise of what you could do.
