Scoliosis
Does anyone have or had scoliosis? and had to have surgery?? if so what was it like? thanks!

My sister had scoliosis. She had to get back surgery back in December.. She also had to wear a brace for awhile. Her curve was really bad, like around 60 or 70. But her brace didn't work, so that's why she had the surgery. Her curve is down to 18 now.

well, i have scoliosis and have 2 curves on my spine but it sort of got a lil bit better from sitting up straight and not slouching. but i still have to have checkups once in a while but for me itz not that serious yet to have surgery. this girl i knew had surgery on her spine and said that it wasn't that bad. so don't worry your not alone. xoxo peACHGIRLY

umm...im not really sure what they do..but one of my friends had it and she used to wear a brace before she got it but she doesnt any more..and shes better now

well i dont have scolioses but ive had like 30 surgeries, it really isnt all that bad.

I had it in 6th grade. Scary stuff.
My curve was pretty bad, but I didn't have surgery. It's a totally bad option. I was told I'd need it so I talked to my doctor and we arranged physical therapy. The physical therapy was really quick and easy and it's kept scoliosis away since then. You should ask about it. It's more expensive but better in the long run. You're not alone; millions go through it.

I have it but if you do some therapy it should start to get better. But I guess since yours is bad your getting it. I don't think mines that bad to get surgery but I'm sure you'll feel something. I doubt it would be a painless procedure but you'll be fine so dont' worry about it. Good luck.

I might have scoliosis, but my friend just got surgery a few months ago. It didn't really hurt too much, and you get out of school for awhile. Besta Luck

My cousin had scoliosis I don't think she had surgery. She had a brace thought.

my cousin has it right now and is still in hospital she had surgery last t hursday and is in recovery for like a year or something and its going to be a while to get back to daily things, she had one of the worst cases the doctor delt with. thats all i know about scoliosis

i have it but nope i didn't have surgery and i'm not about to. You can ask your doctor if there are other things you can try first. Because i know that there are other things that you can do. Not like i did anything..haha.
