Post break-up weirdness

Question Posted Saturday January 22 2005, 8:06 am

I just experienced a pretty bad break-up, which I'm finding it hard to get over, as I keep bumping into my ex at school and when I go out. Should we ignore each other? I would like to be friends, but things are just really awkward at the moment.

I would back away for a while or so until the weirdness goes away then one day just start talking to him/her. Or you could confront him/her with the weirdness and come to a compromise of what you could do.

Be kind to each other but don't exactly be friends yet. Wait a little while until the weirdness goes away and then maybe it will be better to be friends.

you don't have to be friends you can just casually say "Hi!" when you see him in the halls or outside of school. don't do anything fancy just casually gesture him in a nice way. good luck!

Take things slow. Right now you both probaly need your space so just kind of stay away from each other, and gradually start saying hi to each other. Soon you guys will probaly be friends again.
