I have an impacted/stopped up oil gland on my ear. The impacted/stopped up oil gland is next to where my earring would go in my left ear. It is not ontop of the "hole" for my earing, it is to the side of it. The gland is swollen, reddish/purple, and it hurts really badly. When something touches it (putting on a shirt, brushing my hair, etc., etc.) it feels like someone has stabled a needle in my ear. I know that this is sort of like a pimple on my ear, but is there something I can do to help it go away? Would acne medicine and hot compresses help any? My mom said that if it didn't go away, she'd take me to a dermatologist, but should I try to mess with it or anything?

whatever you do, do not pick at it or anything. try putting anti bacterial ointment on it and i wouldn't suggest putting acne medicine on it because that might make it worse. don't try to put an earring in that hole until this thing gets healed because it could make it worse. hope i helped!

eat lots of dairy. dannon's light and fit yogurt works really good-I use it. do lots of sit ups and get a work out book and look up locusts. the locust is a move that tones your butt and abs hope i helped!

There's this guy at school who I really like a lot. I met him about a month ago, and the only problem is that he's really quiet. I've started to talk to him, and we're kind of friends, but he's pretty much a loner. The only people he will talk to is me (for no reason I can figure out) and his older sister, who actually wants us to go out. The only problem is he's really shy, so I don't know if he likes me or not. And I'm not exactly that close to his sister... so I don't want to ask her. I'm wondering if I should tell him now, or wait a little longer, because I haven't known him very long... and when should I tell him if I have to wait?

i am a 14/f and there is this boy that lives down the street from me that is a couple of years older than me and i really like him and want to get to know him better. The inside corner of my left eye is very red and bloodshot looking. Its itchy and sometimes it hurts. There is this white colored puss that shows up on the corner of my eye and I really don't know what's wrong. I wear contacts and I change them regularly. I don't know what the problem could be. Does anyone know what is wrong with my eye? It's not pink eye because I've had that before and I know what it's like.

i would go to the eye doctor. it could be your contacts, or just an allergy that you may or may not know about. hope i helped!

My mom was born in a foreign country, and their thoughts on things are a LOT diffent from the United States, and her thoughts are LOTS different than what I want to do. For example, she refuses to let me date, so I have to keep all my feelings for boys bottled up in my diary. She doesn't let me wear shorts (only capris) in the summer, so I end up burning up in my classrooms. I really need to tell her that these things might not be allowed where she grew up, but I don't live where she lives, and I need to have a LIFE! How can I tell her?

I have show choir auditions in about a week and I didn't make it last year because I wasn't very excited or emotional when we danced and when I did my solo. I have a problem my dog, just recently died and so we got a new puppy Razberry. But as he has gotten older he has become vicious. I just go into the backyard to try to play with him after school and i throw a ball or two. Then I go check if he needs more water in his bowl or not. But then out of the blew he jumps up bites me really hard in the back then I turn around and he bites me in the leg which leaves a scratch and a popping out bruise. Then i try to get away from him and out of the backyard but he keeps biting me. This has been happening for a while now and I dont know what to do to make him stop. I love my puppy and I dont want to give him away. He can be soo sweet to me and i can just tell in his eyes that he loves me too. I think he is just trying to play but doesn't know when to stop. I just would like any suggestions on something I could do to understand that biting me like that is wrong and it hurts. I have tried disciplining him but then he becomes more vicious and bites more. Please help me!

since he is a puppy, did you ever think that he might be teething? get him a chew toy, or go to the pet store and ask which toys are best for teething puppies? hope i helped!

A week ago today, I accidently poked myself in the eye with mascara in the morning. Since then, the bit which I poked has been red and blood shot. My Mum said it was like a bruise and would probably go soon but it's been a week now and it seems to be getting worse. What is wrong with it? What should I do?

i think that you wait a week longer, and if the bruise isn't gone by then, ask your mom to make an appointment with your eye doctor.

i know what your going through. except this guy liked me and i wouldnt go out with him so he told me he was going to commit suicide because of me. sit him down and talk to him. ask him why he feels that way. i personally think that he might feel like he's not cared about...but obviously you care if you're asking this question. ok, straight to the point. ask him why he wants to commit suicide, try to talk him out of it, if he still wants to do it after your talk, get an adult or his friends or your friends involved. so many people die from suicide,and so many people are affected by those who die from suicide. i hope all goes well.

Ok, well me and my boyfriend broke up last night. I'm actually kind of happy, cause now I can see what a jerk he was, but here's what happened: I'm kind of upset over something that's happening at my house and only my best friend and my mom knows, and he kept on going, what's wrong? please tell me. And I told him I wasn't ready to tell him, and he wouldn't stop bothering me about it, and started saying things like, you won't tell your bf a damn thing and that I was pissing him off. So we just broke up. I really felt like he was pressuring me and I didn't want to tell him. And another thing, when we were going out, he would always say he loved me, and I would think that he didn't, because first off, we were online bf/gf, but he only lives an 1 away and we were gonna meet at the movies real soon, but like, how can he love me when we've never even met? And second, we only went out for a month, and I remember him saying that the first day we went out and I totally think he was abusing it. My question is, was he being a jerk and broke up with me for no reason, or should I have told him "just cause we're going out"? And what do you think about him saying I love you. Because I think that if he did, he would have given me the time and waited until I was ready to tell him. And today, I got online and he had "TASHA" with a winky face next to it. it really doesnt matter if johnny and your cousin have had some "history". if she's in a relationship, then it really shouldnt matter. you should have a friend talk to johnny and talk to him about you liking him...just tell him/her to tell johnny not to mention anything to you about it...unless he likes you of course. good luck & lemme know how it goes!

I'm a bit overweight and so I've always been a little bit embarassed to exercise in front of people. It seems to just make things worse for me, because then I don't feel like I get enough exercise in the day, but I hate running because I'm slower and always afraid somebody will see me, and I don't even like doing stuff at home because my mom and dad might see me. Any good tips for conquering my fear or ways to exercise alone?

exercise when no one's home or in the basement or your room. you can run afterschool around your neighborhood with a friend...that would be the best way to tone your body because it works the core muscles and all of your body. even though yoiu hate running, it's the best way for you to get in shape. good luck & hope i helped!

okay well my so called best friend has been ignoring me and talking a bunch of shit and calling me a bitch and everything like that and she's been doing this for like 2 weeks now. and i asked her why she called me a bitch and she started spazzing out about how me and my other friend ditch her all the time but i couldn't have been ditching her because she won't give me the time of day to do that she does this to me every year she can hang out with whoever she wants but when i start to hang out with someone else she gets all pissy about it..i don't know what to do anymore? i rate good/

if she's going to talk crap about you behind your back, call you a bitch, ignore you, and try to control you about who you hang out with, she's not really your best friend, now is she?
you need to take a stand for yourself and make her realize that she cant control you. and if she cant handle the fact that you have other friends besides her, i would think that you wouldn't want to be friends with her anymore.
