I have befriended my old schools social worker. She gave me her num,ber when I left my old school and we talk every once and a while when I get up the courage. Well during this past summer we went out to eat and got a chance to talk. (by the way this was all her idea, I just called to schedule!) I don't think that meeting outside of school is considered 'OK'. Your mom is only worried about your safety. You met her in middle school, it's not like you've known her your entire life.

Keep talking to her on the phone, but I would probably not suggest meeting her outside of school for the sake of your safety.

You might think that she's 'cool', but you're naive [as is any other teen]. You don't know her past, or if she's been convicted of anything.

The 'hole' that you are referring to is your vagina. It is the biggest hole, and it's not your anus (obviously). It really isn't hard to miss. Yes, there is a hole right above it, but it'd be impossible to fit a tampon in there.

Well, first things first, you need to ask him straight up if he's in a relationship. The worst thing that you could do is to be all over a guy when he's already with another girl.

If he is, he's off limits.

If he's single, go for it, and flirt!

Instead of getting a sharpie/permanent marker, look for a fabric marker. You can find them at your local JoAnne's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or any other craft store. Just ask the employees if you do not know what they look like. I'm sure you'll find what you need.

Lol, so I loved the lovely set of instructions given previously. I was scared at first, but my mom helped me put one in, so if you're comfortable around your mom [as you should be], ask her to help you out. Maybe even an older sister, cousin, aunt, ect.

1. Get the tampon and unwrap it from the plastic.
2. Lay down on your bed, get comfortable. You can also try putting one foot on top of the toilet, the other firm on the ground.
3. Grip the tampon in your right hand, and spread the flaps at the bottom [your vagina], apart, so that the tampon has easier access.
4. Put the tampon in your vagina, until the little 'ring' at that bit of plastic at the end [that is attached to the string is sticking out just a little.
5. Push the bottom part IN, so that you can feel the fabric going 'inside' of you. [you will most definitely feel it].
6. The plastic case should slip off, and you throw that away.

You're done! I have found that tampons are so much more comfortable compared to pads. Just don't forget to change your tampon ever 4-6 hours to prevent TSS. [Toxic Shock Syndrome]. That might've sounded a little scary, but as long as you keep changing your tampon during that given time, you should be fine.

If you decide to sleep with a tampon overnight, change it IMMEDIATELY as you wake up.
