My name is Teza.. short for Tereza. I was born in Croatia and I speak more than one language. I'm 22 years old & I completed 2 college degrees in 3 years. My a bachelors is in Business Administration concentration in Human Resources and my Masters degree is also in HR.



I started this advice column about 9years ago and I was so young but it was something that I always loved to do. I am trying to get back to answering questions, at least a few per day. With that said, if you have questions about school, friends, make up, etc., feel free to ask.

Well my brother Blake died almost 8months ago. He was only 24 and thats wats the worst part of it. My brother was really well liked and always smiling. He was good looking and was always teasing me. Now that he is gone I find myself crying over things that make no since. Im' in more fights with my parents and everybody keeps saying Ive changed. Well There has also been alot of memorials for him and i don't want to go to em and all my parents can say is your so selfish. I don't wanna go cuz it hurts so bad. I tell them that tooo. Wat should I do to keep them from thinking I'm selfish?

You are basiclly shutting yourself out from everyone else. You are not the only one who is so hurt. Imagine how your parents feel. They have to put up with it and they are strong and have to go through it. You all are in so much pain. I'm not trying to be rude, but you are being selfish. You are caring about your feelings and no one elses. Just put yourself in your parent's shoes. Look what they are going through. You have to be there for them as well as being there for yourself. You will never make the pain go away, simply because he is your brother. You need to show respect and go. It's alright to cry. Understand that. No one will judge you. Trust me, your parents do understand what you are going through and they do understand how you feel. You love them and you love your brother, you should go. You will feel better and you know your brother is always going to be with you and love you no matter what! Remember that.

okay , theres this guy ... && i'm like in love with him. i mean i really like him alot. But i'm really shy && i cant bring myself to talk him. all my friends that know i like him are like you should talk to him. && i dont think they understand that i'm really shy. So i told my friend to ask him who he likes since shes friends with him. But she never told me what he said. && he knows someone likes him b/c i told her to tell him that to. So should i like get my friend to ask him out for me or not ? But im afraid that he'll say no . And dont tell me to talk to him b/c i cant do that.

Don't tell your friend to ask him out for you. Thats a huge turn off and how would he say yes when you don't talk to him. You aren't shy, it's just how you choose to be. I used to be extrimley shy, but I pushed myself to talk to people and I did. Now, I'm not shy at all! You need to make yourself talk to him. Start of with hey! What bad will you get out of it? Nothing. He won't think you're a loser or anything. He will appriciate you talking to him. There is nothing I can really tell you other than get some confidence and make yourself talk to him.

now ive never done this, and dont plan on it, but if youre a girl, with a boyfriend, and you kiss(lips or french) a *gay guy* is that still cheating on your boyfriend?

Yes it is cheating. Kissing or doing anything with anyone else other than your boyfriend is considered cheating.

I was due for my period about 10 days ago and it sitll hasnt come...is this bad??and when will it come again?

No it isn't bad. Periods are always irregular and it sucks because we never know when it will come. Dates are just dates, and sometimes its a week or 2 late but it doesn't mean that anything is wrong. You're fine. If you are really worried, talk to your mom and maybe go to the doctor.

Well my mom has this disease called Huntingtons disease. It has scarred my heart and affected my life forever. well i really really need help but i dont know how to get it. i talk to my dad about it a lot, but the pain goes on and on. please help me... i will rate high.

What exactly do you mean you really need help, but don't know how to get it? You shouldn't be upset all the time because it won't do you any good. Live life to the fullest and even though your mom has that disease, she is still your mom. Be there for her and show her that life isn't over. Be happy and spend a lot of time together. Have you guys been to the doctor? If not, go. Maybe this is treatable. Of course you are going to have emotional pain, it's normal but like I said, live life to the fullest and be happy.

ok theres this boy who is my friend and we've been friends for a while and i found out that for a little while he liked me, like a few weeks. Now he doesnt and he likes this girl, alot, and they're going out and she doesnt like him at all. shes only going out with him for a joke. I wanna tell him but I don't because then her friend might start shit with me. Also the more I think about it the more I begin to think I like him. What should I do, tell him in a way without really telling him about this girl or not and have him find out I knew and hate me??????

Whats more important, your friends feelings or arguing with an immature girl? Personaly, if I was in your situation I would tell him. I care about my friends and their feelings, and if you were his true friend you would tell him. If that girl starts crap with you tell her to grow up and that you don't care about what she says. She is really lame, and his girl friend is a b*tch. It might hurt his feelings, and he might not even belive you, but at the end he will know that you were there for him and that you were only trying to help him and nothing more.

Since he is really nice, you have to have confidence to talk to him. Make yourself and just don't be shy. Nothing will happen! In the hall or in class just be like heyy, how's it goin?? Be outgoing and fun and nice and your friendship will keep growing. Talk to him everyday and you never know, he might start to like you. You just need confidence and a little push to talk to him. ok so i am 14/f and i just started high school. at my old school i had a lot of friends but they went to another school. I have some friends that went to the same high school as me but i dont really know them that well; they're not close to me. and so i found a group of friends who i hang out with and they're really nice, except i want to be popular. and here's the thing i know some of the popular kids and i talk to them and everything. and last night was the dance and i figured i would dance with the popular kids but i ended up dancing with my new group of friends. i had a great time! so here's my question..last night i didnt even want to go dance with the popular kids and normally at school i try to talk and be with them. do you guys think that i should hang out with the popular kids or my other group of friends that i just made?? thanx

I'm surprised these questions are still getting asked. I hate when people want to be popular. Why can't you just be yourself and stop trying to fit in with people who are nothing like you? I'm not trying to sound ignorant or mean, so please understand that. To me, it seems like you had so much more fun with your new friends than the popular kids. If you do start hanging out with them you probablly won't act like yourself. The popular kids are normal just like everyone else. They might be more socialized, confident or whatever but everyone is the same. You shouldn't be wasting your time deciding who you want to be friends. You should be thankful that you have friends and that people accept you. I'm not saying you can't do whatever you want, but you can also have more than one group of friends. Talk to both.

hey, this question is about my best friend. she's not the skinniest thing (not being mean about it!) but she thinks she is. she's probably around 135 or 140 pounds and is around 5'2. she always lets her boobs hang out, not because shes a slut, but i don't think she realizes. and i always tell her, either like joking around, or politely, to pull up her shirt. guys stare at her during lunch, hot older guys, but i don't know if it's beacuse they like it or not! i'm not talking a little cleavage, i'm talking like halfway-bulging out! and she sometimes wears shirts WAY too small for her, like from Abercrombie Kids, and her fat up by her armpits like bulges, and she likes to show her stomach sometimes .. what do i tell her, she is my best friend, so i definetely don't wanna be mean about it!

Well, she is your best friend so you have to say something and even if it's mean, you are at least telling her the truth. It might hurt her feelings or whatever, but still. If she doesn't listen to you then let her wear her clothes how ever she wants.

Try to find a red sequin shirt to match because of your shoes. It could also be red with black. Cami's or tank tops would look cute. You could try to look for it anywhere! There is no specific store.

You really can't make him dance with you, but maybe he didn't really say that. When you guys are at the dance, I'm sure you will dance together. Why wouldn't he? Just talk to him and be like heyy wanna dance!! And if you guys don't, it doesn't mean that you can't have fun!

To a dance? Wear a shirt and heels. Ripped jeans are hot but to a dance skirts are more for it. Wear a cute shirt and you'll look great.

my friend is so chubby and i want to help her get skinny but she wont listen what should i tell her. she thinks shell get skinny when shes older but the truth is if she keeps on eating like this she will be obese for the rest of her life!

I know you are trying to be a good friend and all, but this is her life and her decison so don't try to live it for her. I didn't mean it in a rude way or anything, but now she is very young and it's just extra fat. There is a posibility that she will loose that extra fat when she is older. Tell her that you aren't trying to be rude or anything but you are conserned about her health. Ask her to eat healthier and maybe you two can go on a walk, or exercising together so you aren't alone and don't get bored.

My boyfriend just asked me if it was alright for him to spend the night at his best friend's house. His four best friends are girls. there's gonna be two other guys, but I still don't really like the outlook on it; he's gonna be all night with 5-6 other girls.

If it was my boyfriend, I wouldn't like the idea. It isn't dumb of you because you care about him and you don't want him with other girls! I know that you don't want to be a bad girl friend or act odd, but you also don't just want to say no. And honestly, if you did would it stop him from going? If you trust him then don't worry about him doing anything. Guys can have best friends, yes, but just ask him not to do anything stupid.

If you like her, and if she still likes you and you guys want to be together, then yes. Don't just ask her out because you want a girl friend. Make sure you really like her though.

okay well im not doing that well in math b/c its relly hard and i cant get lower than a 95% !! my mom will get really mad if i do and i jsut got a 44% on a really hard test and i dont wanna tell her but i dont want her to find out on her own because then she will get even more mad for me not telling her but i dont wanna be grounded for the year!!!

Wow. Have you tryed talking to your mom and telling her how hard it is. You should of showed her some of the things you were doing in class and maybe she could of helped you. Did you study for this test? When I don't study, I get bad scores but when I do I get A's or B's. Telling her is a good idea. Tell her that you really tried but your mind went blank. Tell her that you will try a lot harder next time.
