Okay, I was thinking about putting limewire on my computer. I've had it before, but my virus protection wasn't up to date and it crashed several times. I was going to only download a movie or two, and just have it there just incase.
I'd like to know what people's opinions of limewire are. I've had it before, but no one else I know has it.
Are there any websites that I dont have to download anything and I can just watch the full length movie on there? Because I'd much rather do that.
Also, when I put it on my other computer, I had lots of 'AdAware' stuff. Is there any way I can make sure that my computer doesn't get infected? I regularly check it for viruses and install updates about as often as they come out.

It will be out of his system sometime between a week and a month since the last time he did it. Also, no one can force him to take a drug test. A public school can never punish someone based on them not taking a drug test. Extracurricular things might be able to punish you related to that extracurricular only. Private schools can punish you, but they still can't force you to take it. If it will still be in his system by the time he's supposed to take the test, he should definitely refuse to take it; then, at least, there won't be any police involvement.

My predicament is pretty complicated, I gotta say. I don't really want flimsy answers or something that's just going to reiterate what I've typed down. Solutions people, I need soluttionnnssss.
Ok. So. To start at the beginning I met this guy. I'm practically the only democrat in my school so when I met him and found out he was a democrat I was more attracted to him. So we've talked for a long time and he's been really nice, and I draw in class and he's taken an interest in my art and all that stupid sappy cheesy CRAP.
But anyway. One day he tells me he's making a Bolshevik's club at my school. I had no idea what the Bolshevik's were; I just assumed it wasn't anything bad because he wasn't a bad person and we seemed to share the same views. He showed me what he wanted, and it was a girl and a boy standing side by side and the arms closest to eachother are raised. The girl is holding a sickle and the boy is holding a hammer-thing, and they're crossing them. So I just agreed and said I'd try and get it done over the weekend.
Well I come home, and decide to do some research on these 'bolsheviks'. Sadly, I came to find they were communists. Communism is not something I believe in. It is an extremely left wing theory where all classes are to be equal. I don't think anybody can excell or live up to their full potential that way. I just don't find it fair, or right.. if we lived in a communist world what would the point of trying be?
So I was naturally appalled that I had agreed to endorse this club with my drawing. But what was I going to do? I still kind of like this guy even if he is a little extreme, but I don't want to support communism with my drawing (the drawing would be used on flyers around my school to support the club)
So, I have to have come to a solution by sunday night, at least.. help me, please?
The point of (true) communism is that everyone *starts* equal. Ever person born receives the exact same treatment, and the same opportunities. If people work hard they can be better off then other people, but their children will not get an inheritance, and they will have to work as hard as anyone to get the same benefits of their parents. The USSR, Cuba, and China are horrible examples of communism. A good example of modern communism, adapted to the times, and the failures of communism in the past is the ideas presented on http://alllla.com . Since your friend specifically likes the Bolsheviks, you might want to point out to him that USSR communism(which the Bolsheviks started) is very dissimilar to the original Marxist communism, which he probably wants. Furthermore, Marxist communism is very old, and would need to be changed to be used in today's world. You might also want to point out that a revolutionary group like the Bolsheviks are likely to attract negative attention. Maybe you could show him less extreme, but still anti-capitalist ideas, like the ones on http://alllla.com . I'm sure he will listen to your objections, as long as you know the facts, and not just capitalist propaganda.

They took Phenmetrazine, a stimulant kind of like amphetamines. It was legal when they used it, though it isn't any more. They then did marijuana, and later LSD. None of those are particularly harmful to the body; many legal drugs are worse.

Note that DUBBING is where the Japanese/Chinese voices are *replaced* with English voices. SUBBING is where there is text on the bottom. Since the anime is Asian, there's no possible way you can find it not dubbed/subbed and still in English; it would have to be completely redone for the lips to sync. He probably wouldn't go to juvenile detention, just a heavy fine; and that's only if they find proof. I suppose you could report it to any adult that works for the government(public school teacher, police, etc), but that would be an evil, horrible thing to do. And what happens when he finds that you ratted him out? He might go crazy and cut you up into little pieces.

It sounds like you need to change the screen resolution. Right click the desktop on nothing in particular and select properties. Go to the display properties tab and click settings. Move the slider to the right as far as you can(your screen might not support the higher resolutions). If you can't get it higher, try lowering the color quality, on that same window, and then move the slider again. If this doesn't help you should try http://annoyances.org or http://protonic.com , since most people here are 15 year old girls that don't know a thing about computers.

Hey you know, you said that it is illegal to download maple via bittorrent. But isnt it illegal to download practically everything, like eg music files?

Bittorrent was invented for use in legal applications, and it still is today. The world of warcraft updater, for instance, uses bittorrent. Most Linux distributions are downloaded using bittorrent, legally. I was warning you that this specific use of bittorrent was illegal because you might not have known otherwise, not because it's more illegal than anything else. If you're downloading lots of illegal stuff using bittorrent, I recommend you download Peer Guardian, which makes you mostly invisible to the RIAA, MPAA, etc.:

download the EXE and run it. Press agree, and keep pressing next until the box disappears. In the lower right, you'll see a question mark(it might take a few seconds to show up). Go to notepad and type random stuff. If pandora is installed, the question mark will turn into an exclamation point. Double click the ? or ! to stop the application, and find out where data was written to. If that doesn't show it, it may be uploading the info to the internet. In that case, go to start>run and type "cmd", without quotes. then type "netstat", without quotes. If a bunch of text keeps going and going, without stopping, Pandora is (probably) uploading info. If it stops, it probably isn't. One last thing you can try is to go to start>search and search for "biosvid.dll", without quotes. If it finds the file, pc pandora is installed.
