Limewire opinions

Question Posted Saturday February 10 2007, 4:31 pm

Okay, I was thinking about putting limewire on my computer. I've had it before, but my virus protection wasn't up to date and it crashed several times. I was going to only download a movie or two, and just have it there just incase.

I'd like to know what people's opinions of limewire are. I've had it before, but no one else I know has it.

Are there any websites that I dont have to download anything and I can just watch the full length movie on there? Because I'd much rather do that.

Also, when I put it on my other computer, I had lots of 'AdAware' stuff. Is there any way I can make sure that my computer doesn't get infected? I regularly check it for viruses and install updates about as often as they come out.

I didn't exactly know which category this would go in.. but any help would be appreciated.

bittorrent is free, and there is less risk of malware(virus, spyware, trojan, etc). It's used for downloading files, similar to limewire. Here's my guide:

frostwire is limewire, but safer. It's the same as limewire pro, but free. Everything you can download with limewire can be downloaded using frostwire:

If you want to be free of malware, install a

--antivirus, I recommend the free avast! personal(register and then follow the download link it gives you):

--antispyware, I recommend spybot:search&destroy AND spywareblaster:

when you install spybot, check the option to run resident
