I was in a similar position a short time ago. I was pretty much in love with this guy who I thought liked me- and so I asked him out. And he said yes!


This is what I did- i called him and I asked him to go and see a movie with me.

He didn't call me ever again- but hey! it was worth a try.

it was mainly because of how busy he was with his IB program in school.

im in desperate need of help. i know this isn't very modest but up until now there was nothing noticably wrong with my body but tonite when i was getting n the shower i noticed i had stretch marks on my rear. i cried for about half an hour while i was showering. i dont think there is but is there a way to make stretch-marks disappear or fade. also, what can make more stretch marks appear, is there anything i can do to prevent that. and lastly i've been running for 10 minutes a day every day for about a month. will that cause stretch-marks. please help me. And, chances are- he won't give a damn that you have stretch marks because he loves you.

So my advice to you is not to worry or get upset about this.

Don't be critical of yourself. God made you just the way you are, and he had YOU in mind since the beginning of time.

besides, there could be worse things to happen to your body.

Okay. This is going to sound very weird...but how on EARTH do girls in my school show off their cleavage so damn MUCH? I mean...it's like WHOAH CLEAVAGE MUCH!??!....is it the kind of shirts they wear? Or do they just push themselves up? O_O (link)
Well i was an early bloomer so i've had quite a bit of cleavage to show off since i was 13.

but these are the factors that determine the amount of clevage:

breast size
kind of bra (padded-ness and push-up-ness)
lowness of top

and that's all.


forget them though if you show off your cleavage it makes you look like a complete slut. (trust me- it's not a good thing. i learned that when i was about 14)

if so, then try stretching them out if they're not liek excruciatingly painful.


I'm a dancer so I deal with sore hamstrings a lot of the time. If they hurt too badly to stretch, get in a really hot bath and try to stretch them after that.

Possibly try calling a doctor yourself and explaining your whole situtation- including how they won't let you go on birth control but the pain is unbearable. like call patient first.

Also- if you get 30 mins of rigorous exercise during your period you will not have cramps at all. (unless you're an unusual case)

I hated that whole "not being able to cry" thing when I suffered from it a few months ago. You actually sound JUST like me a few months ago. (exept for the whole anorexia thing)

Here's the bottom line: you are severely depressed. You don't need to see a doctor or anything- they'll just give you some crap that won't help you in the long run. Get 30 mins to an hour of exercise a day (i'm talking about REAL exercise- like sweaty, hardcore stuff that gets your heart pumping fast) and start taking a multivitamin EVERY SINGLE DAY (i'd reccomend "one-a-day women's"). eat more in general.

You also MUST change your outlook on life. Try to think of the good things in life in general- that is the first step to overcoming depression.
Do things that you enjoy if you feel like you just want to go into your room and cry but you can't- do something fun. anything. it really doesn't matter what.


get enough sleep every night.


I truly hope this helps- just remember to keep holding on because the purpose of life is to LIVE. if you are living- you are already fulfilling your purpose. Try to live every day to the fullest. You are only here while you're here.

if you do not already have faith in a higher power, I suggest you become a Christian. you'll be happier if you have a real realtionship with the lord Jesus Christ. you are not "fat" or "overweight" at ALL! if anything- you're the exact opposite. at 5'5" you should weigh about 150 pounds. not kidding.

you seem like you might be developing anorexia.


sit ups- they build muscles which end up decreasing inches unless u have like a really fat stomach like mine (but you don't).

take a vitamin every day
do weight training to gain muscle- it will help to keep you fit longer in your life.

oh- and try taking dance classes. they give u that "zero percent body fat but one hundred percent muscle" look.... over time and if you have intense enough training.

take ballet.

The ONLY hair straightener that works is the "Chi". You can find them at most hair salons and they sell for a little over $100- but it is WORTH it. It's amazing.

The only thing that will get my perfectly UN-straight hair straight.


you could also buy some relaxing cream and put it on your hair after u wash it but while it's still wet and like comb it in with ur fingers and then dry it with an ion-powered hairdryer (i got mine at target for like $15) and straighten the sections with one of those circular brushes (i think they're called spornette brushes)...

You need a really good incentive- and that should give you the will to work towards it.

I have had a lot of incentives- For this one character that I was cast as in a summer theater production I felt like I wanted to lose weight- and I did lose 10 pounds before opening night.

I then lost 10 again for this other audition that came in september (so i'd lost 20 pounds in a period of about 2 1/2 months total)

You might find a boy that you want to ask out to a dance and you'll feel like u want to lose weight for that.

Just have a reason- and whenever you feel unmotivated just think of the reason.

See if there is a "homeschool academy" in your area...


Homeschool academies are usually christian organizations that teach classes to older (like middle/hs age) kids who want a happy medium between flat-out homeschooling and public/prep school.

That's what I'm doing now- i hate it because they patronize you (but it's better than my PREP school that i used to go to)

its like taking non-college level college classes.


you could research unschooling too... (though I doubt you'd want to ruin your future by doing that)

But there's really only public school, prep school, homeschool, homeschool academy, and independant study (which you could research too)

but I must warn you: homeschooling DOES have its flaws...

Ok think of this: in public school you hate running around all the time and dealing with social pressure. (this option is MUCH more stressful than homeschooling)

In homeschooling, you're bored out of your mind and you have no one to talk to, and all you can do is sit around on the internet all day and all night and do nothing. you'll be crying a lot because you are so lonely and you feel like a hermit who has been rejected from the world.
but personally i'd still choose it over public/prep school. but i guess it's just a matter of opinion.
Oh, and PS: whenever you go out in public you'll be liek "OMFG- BIRDS! THE SKY! THERE'S A PERSON OVER THERE! OMFG!!!!" because you never see people so you'll get really excited whenever you do. (it's not that bad though)

I've been to plenty of sleepovers with my period- i've even had it arrive in the morning after the "sleeping" part of the party. I was fine- I just grabbed a pad out of my purse when no one was looking (or you can just bring it in there with you or shove a thin pad into ur pocket beforehand) and ran into the bathroom and changed it. It's not like people are going to be watching you- lol.

This whole menstration business may seem awkward to you at this point- but I swear to God it's not unusual for someone to be having her period at a sleepover.
Bring pads/tampons with you.

OK people have been asking if im depressed and I sont think I dont think I am....
I sleep A LOT and i know its not healthy but I just dont want to get up cause life sucks and theres no point for me to be here.I also eat a lot but im bored but it feels like i ALWAYS hungry so and i thought depressed people dont eat but people have told me diffrently.I stayed back last year and this year in school has been nothing and I hate it so yeah im sad in school but with my upper grades friends im happy and smiling but without them im frowning im really sad and ughh. I also cry alot in bed not even meaning to. I havent thought about suicide... but ive pictured life without me in it and it doesnt seem any diffrent but i wanna know if theres any way to see if im depressed before i tell my parents so they think im on something{kidding}like any sighs like achy body- which i have- never happy- yeah know things like that (link)
You are depressed. But it might come from just being unhappy. You are obviously not happy with your life. It's probably because you stayed back this year. If you don't like that- it's normal to feel sad.

You might want to try staying more busy. That helped me with my depression- which i still have but it has decreased some.

the truth of the matter is- ALL WOMEN are sopranos. you do have those notes in your range-you easily can go up to a high E (the phantom of the opera note if you are a fan). You might feel more comfortable in your cheast voice because most people naturally are. With vocal lessons- your range will increase and your head voice will be strengthened, enabling you to sing soprano.

I was actually in a similar position.
