sleepovers and um.."that time of the month"

Question Posted Friday February 23 2007, 8:32 am

hey,
well i'm going to a sleepover, and we probably won't sleep, but ths morning my period came again and i thought it wouldn't till the 26th but its still irregular. and i was just going to wear a tampon because odds are we won't sleep that much and i think if we do sleep we'd go to sleep at like 3a/m and i have to leave at 10. so that's 7 hours. so i think i'll be okay. but what are some suggestions on how to handle this. just wear a tampon and change it ever 6-7 hours? because i refuse to wear a pad to a sleepover eww. hah

thanks~!

Just wear a tampon, but be sure to change it as often as it says you should.

I've been to plenty of sleepovers with my period- i've even had it arrive in the morning after the "sleeping" part of the party. I was fine- I just grabbed a pad out of my purse when no one was looking (or you can just bring it in there with you or shove a thin pad into ur pocket beforehand) and ran into the bathroom and changed it. It's not like people are going to be watching you- lol.

This whole menstration business may seem awkward to you at this point- but I swear to God it's not unusual for someone to be having her period at a sleepover.
Bring pads/tampons with you.

and don't worry- YOU WILL BE FINE!!!!!!!

honestly to me its really not a big a deal if the sleepover is with a couple of your gurl friends every gurl gets there period its completely natural so just do what you always do change your tampon or whatever you use and if theres guys there than do what you would do normally but with more caution you know no getting down and dirty lol but goodluck

hey, well i would bring a little bag with the essentials in it. even tho you hate pads i would bring a few. along with tampons, panty liners, and some midol. you never know what youll want or need at the time, so its better to be prepared. i would go to the sleep over with a tampon in and a panty liner on.
