Okay, so I have Adobe Photoshop CS2, and I've had it for a while now. The problem is, recently, it refuses to start up. It keeps saying the scratch disks are full, etc etc, so it can't load the brushes and stuff.
First of all, what's a scratch disk anyways? How do I clean it out or whatever so it's NOT full? How can I get photoshop to work again?! -panic-
This has happened to me before as well.
The simplest solution is to do a quick reinstall. That should fix your problem.

Figured I’d help you out considering I had to write a similar essay last year. It’s still on my computer so I’ll throw in a few points that I used. (The paragraph with the * symbol beside it is taken directly from the American lung association, so if you use it, make sure you put it into your own words.)
I believe smoking in public places should be banned. Not only is smoking a bad habit but it's hazardous to a person’s health. The simple fact is that smokers are affecting their own health as well as those who do not smoke. Thousand’s of people die each year just because they have breathed other people’s smoke and it’s slowly becoming an issue that needs to addressed.
The truth of the matter is: second hand smoke kills people. A lot of business owners still allow people to smoke in their businesses. I find it hard to believe that public smoking hasn’t been banned everywhere considering most Americans do not smoke. It makes no sense to be supporting the minority and to be putting the majority at risk.
*Cigarette smoke lingers in the air hours after the cigarette is put out which leads to it being involuntarily inhaled by non-smokers. Second-hand smoke affects people’s health drastically and causes a variety of health defects such as cancer, respiratory infections and asthma. Second-hand smoke causes approximately 3,000 lung cancer deaths and 35,000 heart disease deaths in adult non-smokers in the United States each year. If that isn’t bad enough, it is especially harmful to young children. Second-hand smoke is responsible for between 150,000 and 300,000 lower respiratory tract infections in infants and children under 18 months of age which results in between 7,500 and 15,000 hospitalizations each year, and causes 1,900 to 2,700 sudden infant death syndrome deaths in the United States annually. And yet, smoking in public places is still legal in most places.
I don’t believe businesses such as restaurants or bars are at as much of a risk as they make themselves out to be. They claim the smoking ban will result in their company loosing the majority of their customers and profits. The thing is, only 23 percent of Americans smoke, so really, less than a quarter of a business’ customers are smokers.
I don’t even think the matter should be disputed. If people want to smoke, then let them, but outside and away from the building.

I had to do a 4 page report. Finally after 2 weeks of working on it the report is FINISHED! Only thing is, the proper format is to have your last name and page number on the top of the page, right justified. Yes, I tried to go to view header/footer but it does not allow me to customize the header for each individual page. Example: First page needs to say at VERY TOP [insert my last name here]1, second page [insert my last name here]2, etc. When I go to view header footer, I can't have each page have the number on it. I know there is a way to do this, but I can't remember how. And I don't mean just typing it in at the top of the page because if I go back to edit something, it will move and I don't want to go through having to retype it all. Does anyone know how to do this? All you have to do is click view --> Header and Footer.
Once the Header pops up, a Header and Footer toolbar should pop-up along with it. Type your last name into the header. To insert the page number, look on the header and footer toolbar for a button that looks like a little piece of paper with this: # symbol on it. Click that.
It should automatically insert the page number of each page.

i got this weird virus on my computer through AIM..i did a virusscan on my comp. and it said there was nothing there but it still kept acting funny. so i restored my computer to an earlier date, will this get rid of it???? thanks, i rate 5's!!
Mackenzie's suggestion may work. It really depends on what kind of virus you have here.
Try her solution before trying mine.
If the type of virus you have is a trojan virus then it wont be so easy to get rid of because most of them install themselves in the system32 folder and there are litterally thousands of files in there. System restore isn't guaranteed to get rid of the virus so if you continue having problems then you might want to try this. I've done it many times and it's been pretty succesful for me. I just hope I can explain it well enough...
Turn off system restore and restart your computer. Go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com and use their free virus scan option. It will download the latest definitions to your computer and then do a scan. After scanning turn system restore back on. Do another virus scan. Stop here if it doesn't detect a virus.
If it still finds a virus then turn off system restore again, reboot into safe mode and do a scan. After scanning, reboot into normal mode and turn your system restore back on. This seemed to work for me.
If you're not sure how to do any of the stuff I just mentioned, here's the steps:
To turn off system restore right click on my computer-->properties-->click on the system restore tab--> put a check mark in the turn off system restore box & then click apply. To turn it back on simply remove that check mark and click apply.
To get into safe mode, if needed, while your computer is restarting hit f8, a black screen with a white lettered menu will come up asking you how you would like to start up your computer. choose "SAFE MODE" and hit enter.

Hi, im 15/f and ive never made out or been sexually active in any way whatsoever! Uhm the thing is that im scared to do anything that involved being sexually active because the hair down there(dont give me any hair removal method, il breakout in red bumps and i have no money to buy anything or get it waved) is really sparse and grows beyond my underwear, and my inner lips hang out noticebly longer than in outer lips. i think this might really freak a guy out because this is really ugly. Plus, im hardly a small A-cup. My 'breasts' are no bigger than a guys, seriosly, and even really small breast people are bigger than me, ive seen their boobs. i really want to get sexually active cuz everyone is always like ooh makeout with him but i dont know how. im not sure what to do and i feel really bad because i guess noone else i knows has this problem and i dont wanna tell neone, its pretty embarasing. wut should i do?!
First of all, let's get one thing straight: Making-Out isn't considered 'being sexually active'. To be sexually active you actually have to participate in some form of sexual intercourse.
Secondly, I'd just like to say that 15 is pretty young to be thinking about becoming sexually active, but I guess the age level is getting lower and lower all the time.
If you intend to become sexually active I really don't think you need to worry so much about the appearance. Everyone is different. Hopefully any guy you are with will understand that. The pubic hair probably wont be that big of an issue unless you want to give oral sex a try.
I hate to say it, but it's true: guys usually don't pay much attention to the things you described. They're much more into the fact that they're getting some.

what does the phrase "retaining water" mean, when do you "retain water" and why do you retain water?
Have you ever heard of bloating? Retaining water is pretty much the same thing. Many people think that not drinking a lot of water will result in less blaoting or water retention but it's infact the exact opposite. Your body retains water when you're not drinking enough of it. The body tries to hold on to any water in its system for as long as possible because it's not receiving enough.
Water is essential to the body's functionality so it's important that it's getting enough of it.

i have my party in 2 weeks and my period is supposed to come on that day! it would be horrible because there will be swimming ..! im desperate to delay it...if i dont drink anything for 5 days...or keep it very minimal..do you think it will delay my period? wont the body naturally not allow my period to come on time so it will keep the extra fluid? any way i can delay my period? dont say birth control because that wont delay it for another 2 months..it takes time or something for it to work..
Not drinking anything or drinking minimal amounts will probably end up being worse for you in the end. I'd advise you to keep drinking.
I do however have some solutions for you. You could take Norethisterone Tablets(or any other tablets that contain progestogen,which is the horomone that sustains the lining of the uterus.)You take them 3-4 days before the expected date of your period and they allow you to delay it for up to 2 weeks. There are some minor side effects but nothing too bad.
There are herbs and stuff (I've heard parsley works...?) that say they will delay periods, I'm not sure if they actually work though...just another option for you to look into.
If all else fails, just stick with a tampon. Good Luck!
I want to upload pictures onto my computer from my digital camera. However, we lost the cable that is supposed to connect the camera to the computer. Can you buy that cable seperately?
It really depends what cable you're looking for. Most digital camera's use the standard USB cable and those are very common in electronic stores. If your camera uses a different cord, then just ask around. It shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement.
Can someone tell me what it means when this happens ? There is this guy that I like in my 4th period class ( I'm a freshman who just started high school and he's a junior , senior , or whatever . I know nothing about the guy except the he likes emo rock music , his name is Kyle , he hangs out with all the emo crowd at school , likes Chances Are , hates hardcore , and likes to draw ) But, he keeps looking at me . ( Maybe it's because I keep sneaking glances at him . But , he does look at me . I've seen him looking at me more than once in class ) But , one way I wore a pink bandanna in my hair ( I'm emo to . But , not in the older crowd because the emos at my school are mean . Emo means emotional . Like the guys wear tight girl pants , have high-lighted hair , kinda long hair , with longer bangs . They like music like Taking Back Sunday and Dashboard Confessional ) and the next day he had a black bandanna . Also , I started rolling up the bottoms of my pants of his pants and so did he like the next week afterward I did it .
And I think the funniest thing is when I showed up one day without my messanger bag and was just carrying around my binder . ( It was Friday ) Monday he showed up without his little messanger bag also .

It could mean he's obsessed with you and wants to be just like you, or more than likely it's just a coincidence. I'm not him, so I have no idea what he's thinking, but it's possible he may like you. He just doesn't know you that well yet.
You said you're both emo, so that should instantly give you some ideas of things to talk about. Talk about music. Find out what kind of songs or bands you both like. Ask him or friends of his about some of the stuff he likes. Find things you have in common. Just try and establish somewhat a friendship with him. If he knows you like then he may be somewhat intimidated. Give him time to adjust to you. If he does like you, he'll make a move when he's ready.
I keep my computer on pretty much 24 hours a day. It doesn't really seem to be a problem. But earlier today I went to check my computer and it had a blue tint over everything. It has done this before, but last time I just refreshed the desktop, and it went back to normal. This time, I've tried refreshing it and restarting it and it doesn't seem to want to go back to normal. I don't know what I did to make it go blue, and it's a very pretty blue, but I would like to have my normal screen back.
Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

As far as your first question goes I really think it's difficult to maintain a friendly relationship with a guy you like when he has a girlfriend. Things will always be awkward because he'll be so close yet so far (if you get what I'm saying.). You didn't specify what you two are always fighting about but I'm almost positive that if he olny dates the 'hot' girls then he's probably not very good boyfriend material. I'm sorry to say this, but he seems almost shallow. If you still want to try to be friends with this guy then the best thing you can do is confront him and ask him why things between the 2 of you are changing. Talk it out. Good luck!
Okay... question # 2: Most people don't like to start relationships with close friends because they don't want to loose that friendship. It's really up to you. You need to follow your heart (okay that was soo corny, but it's true!). If you think you like your friend why not give it a try? It's worth a shot. he obviously seems to care about you.

I'm 14 and have never had a boyfriend or made out with anyone, i know many people have this problem so that's not such a big deal. The problem is I'm an outgoing person, just like a lot of my friends, but guys never seem to like me as more than a friend... Now my best friend got a job this summer and she's changed so much! She's a guy magnet! she hangs out with all these 17 and 18 year old guys who like her! I'm a little jealous but she's always gotten who she wants so oh well..I'm worried that when we go back to school the guys will be all over her. I think i've changed this summer (personality wise) and i hope they notice. I'm wondering what can I do to approach a guy? and give him the right idea about me when I first meet him? Hmm, good question. Actually excellent question.
The thing you should know about guys is that most of them are extremely shy when it comes to girls. It's hard for them to approach a girl they like. Most guys prefer a girl that makes the first move. So I suggest that if you happen to see one you like just go up to him and start a conversation. I know this is over used but if you want to make a lasting impression, try being yourself. You shouldn't have to try and change yourself for any guy. Eventually you'll find one who will like you for you.
Try to find common interests. Ask him a few questions about himself but not too many! while some guys enjoy talking about themselves :/ . . . most would prefer to keep the converstaion focused on you. I've also found, from past experiences, that if you can make a guy laugh you'll instantly be in his good books. I don't really recommend this but... you could try observing your best friend. watch how she flirts and try incorperating those things into your conversation with a guy.

ok..i guess i'll just come out and say it..i asked a few girls on here..so here it goes..i just turned 15 & am a 34/36 B..is that small for the average 15 year old? and when is the approximate age girls stop developing? i heard 2 years after your period and i've heard when your in your late teens and early 20's..iduno which to belive..i started my period when i was 10 & i didn't start to get a chest til' i was like 12 or 13..if you can, plz help..lol am i guna b small for the rest of my life?! =(

I'm not an expert on the suject but I have heard that a girl’s breasts generally continues to grow for approximately four years after puberty begins. The period is supposed to start somewhere in the middle of puberty and does not signal the end of the growth process. So I'm not sure how you could have only started developping 2-3 years after you started your period. Your period may have just started earlier in puberty. I really don't know if you'll continue to develope or not. If your worried about appearing small you could always try padded bras (that's what I do.). Good luck!

I know this going to sound corny and over used, but if a guy does something to you that's pleasurable a good responce is to moan. Most guys get a kick out of being able to make a girl moan. I don't want to seem like a pervert but most guys like it if a girl put her hands up his shirt and rub his chest. Just experiment and find things that you can do to please him as well.

Hey hun, don't worry too much about your first kiss. It may seem like a big deal now, but in a few years you'll laugh about how much you obssesed about it. First kisses are rarely that great anyway.
You also shouldn't worry about what your boyfriend will think. Simply explain to him you've never kissed anyone before (don't be embarrassed to do so either!), if he loves you he'll understand and help guide you through it. After awhile you'll see it gets a lot easier.

It's always hard to get over your boyfriend. It wont happen immediately, so give it some time.
Usually what I do to get over a guy is to keep myself busy. I hung out with my friends that I knew would be able to help me deal with the situation. I also joined a sports team, it helped release all of my pent up anger i had for my ex. I always bake when I'm feeling down... I don't really know why... You could also try meeting new people.
I also know that sometimes you may want to be alone, which is perfectly fine. Everyone need their alone time. I don't know about you, but I tried to write poetry. It helped clear up all my emotions. The poems were horrible and when I look back now, it's just something to laugh about. Good luck!
Okay, the thing is, I'm confused. I know this is going to sound stupid, but I need to ask. People are always asking about tips on kissing and making out. I've never done either of those things, but what gets me muddled is the whole 'it comes naturally' thing. I mean, is it really based on instinct, or should i be worried about my first time doing all those things? (I'm having a hard time getting my point across here, work with me). People ask things like 'where should i put my hands' and 'what kind of kiss' and 'how do you french'. Are those things that you really need advice about, or do they really all come naturally and people only fret because they haven't done them? Is it better to have people tell you how-to's so it'll go better, or is it all going to come together anyway? I hope you don't find me too silly for asking, I'm just(like I stated before) confused! I think for the most part, kissing does come naturally, but for some, their instincts are not as clear. No one can really tell you how to be a good kisser. And how-to's usually never work. You can't make someone a good kisser simply by telling them what to do. I don't think it works like that.
I hate people who assume that everyone will know how to kiss their very first time just because it'll come naturally. First kisses are usually horrible anyway. Really the only thing that can make you a good kisser is practice. Don't expect your first kiss to be amazing. It usually never is.
Ok, well my friend is having this party this coming saturday and shes inviting her cousin. i think he's really fun to be around and stuff but all he wants to do is makeout with girls at the party. i like him, but im not into like just meeting a guy and making out. and since ive never made out with anyone, im scared. i was thinking of just not going to the party so i wouldnt have to worry about him wanting to make out. wat should i do? im 13 and hes 15.
I really don't think you should miss out on all the fun because of one guy. I say go, have a good time. But if all this guy wants to do is make-out then I say stick to your guns. If your not ready to do that then don't. Let him know that you think he's cool but you don't want to make-out with him just yet. If he tries to pressure you into doing it then he obviously isn't the type of guy you'd want to be involved with anyway.
