REMOVE ALL SUGGESTIONS OF HOW TO COMMIT SUICIDE IMMEDIATELY!

Question Posted Friday October 18 2013, 12:24 am

I've already reported your site to Google and other search engines. I hope they kick your sad sorry butts off the net, or that Obama does something about sites like this, where any idiot can answer a question like "What's the fastest way to commit suicide?" I'm a reporter doing an expose, and believe me I will expose your site and others who are allowing this type of thing to occur! God help you if a parent finds the site up on their child's computer after such a suggestion is made and the teen carries out their suicide attempt in the exact manner as a teenager told them to do.

Isn't the world cruel enough? Where do you people get your values from? Or do you have any at all?

Pull out a bible and try reading it sometime!

A concerned mom

Hey, there concerned mom. I don't know what site you are looking at because as long as I been using Advicenators I have never seen someone on here actually offer a suggestion on how to commit suicide mostly because I'm pretty sure that would be removed immediately and that person wouldn't be allowed to use this site but also because not all of us here would like to read the news one day and see the story of some young persons suicide and recognize it and blame ourselves for i don't know what ETERNITY so next time you come on your little high horse trying to act like you are any better than anyone on here get your facts f**king straight. K? Thanks. And instead of throwing stones in a probably dirty disgusting glass house, how about reaching out to some of those people on here that post questions asking things like that.

Listen, Ma'am. Whoever you are refering to, I know that it is of no familiar advicenator I have ever seen in my time here. I once asked how to commit suicide, and I got seven answers tells me not to do it and told me I am too amazing to die. SEVEN. So whoever you're reading advice from, I'm sure they're already kicked off this site for doing so, as we have people called 'moderators', such as myself, who track this kind of thing.
Go. Write that exposé. I hope you take a picture of all of these responses to your question. None of us respectable people would write anything like that. It would have help had you told us the name of that question, so we may do something about it. Also, if every 'concerned mom' got the site they complained about 'kicked off the net', there would be no porn, facebook, or probably even youtube. So good luck with that.
I know this all sounds disrespectful, but trust me, you are being far more disrespectful towards us advicenators. Do you have any idea how many lives we can save? How many suicide questions I see or answer a week? Don't you dare tell us we have no morale. We take time out of our day to answer some of the stupidest questions (my most recent: " can u git pregnant if u dont use a condom? "). And yes, the world is cruel. We know.
Oh, and by the way,I go to church. I go to a prayer group. I do read the Bible (it should be capitalized, by the way), maybe you should and you would understand that you are being ridiculous and rude.

I hope this answered your questions.

Instead of being concerned about the answers these kids are getting on the internet, maybe you should be concerned about why they had to come on to an anonymous advice forum in the first place. Why didn't they go to their parents? What's making them think this way? It's not the internet that's making teens ask these questions, most likely it's something in their lives and maybe they need some support or someone to convince them that life is worth living. As previous advice columnists have stated, if they really wanted to kill themselves, they could. And a quick google search will get them tons and tons of answers of how to do so. They generally come to an advice forum instead of doing that because they want help.

Furthermore, your post comes off as extremely ignorant. If you know anything about how the world works, you know that Obama has more pressing issues these days rather than to sit around and kick every single person off the internet that offends someone else. We have wonderful moderators on this site that make sure that nothing dangerous or inappropriate gets posted. If you really want to make a difference, you'll be a better parent and let your kids know how to talk to you about these issues instead of coming to the internet. If I put myself in the shoes of an insecure teenager contemplating suicide, I wouldn't want to talk to my parents if all they did was spout bible verses at me.

So do your expose. Let all your supposed readers see how parents are so unsupportive of their children that they turn to an anonymous advice forum for help. We're not the villains here, It's ignorant parents such as yourself.

Or....become an activist and stop blaming other people for actions that another human being takes. If a mother like you would keep tabs on your kids, there would be no need for those types of questions.

Take a look at some of the responses to the questions when people - mostly kids - say they want to kill themselves. They are almost universally supportive of that person finding a counselor or otherwise continuing with life. On the rare occasions when someone DOES post a response giving practical advice on suicide, those responses are reported by other contributors and removed by the administrators.

Let me clue you in on something: People who ask a public forum for advice on how to kill themselves are NOT looking for that kind of advice. We all know how to kill ourselves; I can look around the room I'm in and see half a dozen foolproof methods. Anyone living near a five-story building or a railroad track has a way out. Furthermore, there are websites out there where ways to die are described in great detail (are you protesting against them too? Somehow, I doubt it). No, people post suicide intentions here because they are looking for someone to TALK THEM OUT OF IT. We understand that. It's unfortunate that you do not.

Oh, and incidentally, you are a Liar. You're NOT a reporter doing an expose. If you were, you wouldn't say so; that rather defeats the purpose of doing an expose. If you were a reporter, you wouldn't be posting messages here saying so, because that would adversely affect your ability to objectively research your article. Open your Bible and see what it has to say about lying; I'm sure there must be something in there about that.

You also don't understand the way the Internet works if you think that the President or anyone else can kick someone off. Go ahead and report this site to anyone you like. Nothing illegal is being done here. I encourage you to spend as much time as you possibly can getting this site shut down. You will fail, and that will prevent you from whatever other harmful actions you might have in mind.

And by the way, you should open YOUR Bible and read it sometime; it has a few things to say about Suicide:

"And a certain woman cast a piece of a millstone upon Abimelech's head, and all to brake his skull. Then he called hastily unto the young man his armourbearer, and said unto him, Draw thy sword, and slay me, that men say not of me, A women slew him. And his young man thrust him through, and he died." -- Judges 9:52-53

"And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left. And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life." -- Judges 16:29-30

"Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself." -- John 10:17-18

I will consider it a point of pride if you give me a very, very low rating on this response and report me to the site administrators.

To add to what Dangernerd said when people on here see those kind of questions they NEVER give anyone advice on doing what they are seeking. Instead we try to address the real problem behind their feelings, present other options and show them that they can regain the life they seek if they get professional help.

Ignoring the question outright does nothing at all to help that person. I can certainly see as can anyone who reads this where your concern stems from as I've often questioned whether teen-to-teen advice on the subject is a good idea. But I think what the seeker is really looking for is someone level-headed to show them another way and steer them away from suicide that they aren't getting in the real-world.

Hi there,

We do remove any and all suggestions of how to commit suicide as soon as they are reported. Unfortunately, if you found such a thing, you failed to report it here.

Please, if you would like to do something helpful, contact me on Skype (DangerNerd) and I will be happy to give you an interview for your "expose" which shows how these things are dealt with when discovered.

Everyone here appreciates your concern, if not your tone, and feels just as you do about innapropriate information being put out there for general consumption.

This is why we have an abuse reporting system, which you can find here:

[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Again, we appreciate the effort you made, thinking that we were not concerned about such things, but now that you know we are, please switch gears and provide us with some actionable information we can use to remove whatever offensive infromation you found that prompted such an outburst or threats and name calling.

Thank you again, and we look forward to hearing back from you about your expose.

DN.
