Is it considered statuatory rape? I'm confused and 12!!

Question Posted Friday October 4 2013, 11:34 pm

I'm 12. My boyfriend is 16. He was my first time. Is that a form of stuatory rape? Could legal action be taken? My principal asked me if I've had my first time because I got in trouble. Could they get him in trouble? I don't want to get him in trouble.. :( HELP!!

Ok this is a very serious matter and a lot of people make up these things. First questions are,
Did you say no? Or did you willingly have sex with him? If you willingly did this and. Knew the risks it's your fault. I know people who always want to make something out of there own doings. Next do you even know what a first time is? First time refers to sexual intercourse or sometime as maybe a bj or something sexual and completely wrong at your age. If you knew it is your own fault. If not tell your parents. Next I wouldn't have sex at my age 12 also neither should you, 17 is a young age. Because if your known for sleeping with guys even if know one knew. Lots of time they'll find out attitude change, ect. You don't want to be known as a whore. I know puberty and shiz but still , and don't pull that love crap on me. Also you come off to me as a slut or trashyor someone who isn't educated on basic sex. If your a slut sorry but grow the heck up your 12 sex is for love and your not physically or emotionally ready either. If you aren't educated you don't need to have sex

Ok sex is for love but at least be educated looks like you don't care about age

STDs first off learn! Of course there is a greater chance of you getting one which may take years to show symptoms. If someone has had sex at this age they mayvbe have done it before. Get a condomn! I know they may not be available at such a young age. But take one from mom if your going be sleeping out with guys while being a pretty pubescent tween. I know harsh only one guy but the reputation. Or use a Friken Walmart bag if you dont want the ole herps. Herpes I mean ya they probably suck. If you dont use one and use a bag or something just think of it as hood sex sorry not sorry. So offensive advice

Your parents can get your boyfriend for statutory rape and he could be charged as a child molester and go to prison. Also you should report that principal because that is considered sexual harassment on a child and is very illegal, it could also lead to him trying worse things with other young girls or you. It is also not his business to know those types of things about his students. As for you being 12 with a 16 year old, go play with your friends and dolls. You are not ready and not near mature enough for sex. Don't try to grow up too fast, you have other things that are far less significant than having sex like your grades in school, at your age.

Honey, go play with Barbies. You're far from ready for sex.

You're not in trouble the boy is and this depends a lot on the laws in your state. One thing I find unusual and worrisome is why your principal would ask this question of you? It is inappropriate for him or her to do so regardless of the type of trouble you were in unless you were caught having sex in school.

Now for the facts on statutory rape. You being under the age of consent, which is well above the age of 12 in all states. The person older than the age of consent or more than 3 or 4 years older than the person under the age of consent. That person can be charged with statutory rape. Sex does not have to happen for a charge of statutory rape to be made. The law assumes that sex is the purpose of the relationship between two people with a 3 to 4 year age difference one of whom is under the age of consent.

The fact that you and your boyfriend are already dating or hanging out together puts your boyfriend in trouble already. There is nothing you can do or not do to get him in more trouble or keep him out of trouble. At the moment his fate rests in the hands of your principal if the principal decides to make a police report.

Once the statutory rape charges are brought. The police or prosecutors can add a whole host of other charges. Should they find nude pictures of you in his possession or cell phone. Then Child pornography charges are added and he will be charged as a child molester as well.

In any case once charges are brought if he is charged as an adult, he will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

A word to you about this. You are 12 years old. You should not be having sex or having any kind of sex play at your age. You're not even a teenager yet. You should not be dating period, let alone someone so much older than you.

Sex is for adults who are old enough to understand the consequences of their actions. Sex is not a sport and it certainly is not something you do to keep a boyfriend. If a boy says if you won't have sex with me I will find someone that will, show him the door he does not love you or respect you. He only has a lust and an urge that he needs satisfied.

Giving a boy sex at your age will get around school faster than wildfire. You will get a reputation you will not live down and come to regret.

It is my belief this boy took advantage of your naiveté. Don't try to protect him.

Yes

At age 12, This is considered highly inappropriate for a 16 year old boy to be having any sort of relationship with a 12 year old. Yes, He can be charged with statutory rape, corruption of a minor and even possibly charged to register as a sexual offender. Whether you agreed to have sex with him or not in the eyes of the law you ARE a minor. You are not legally able to consent to sexual intercourse which almost all states require the age of 16. You should not be involved with someone who is much older then you. I know you don't want to hear this but he DID take advantage of you. A normal function 16 year old would not be having sex with someone who is 12 years old. It is wrong and you need to stop seeing him or not only could he get in trouble but you could also get in trouble for encouraging it. Stop

Yeah, he definitely can be charged.
You can get in trouble just for having sex with anyone, even if the guy is your age. You're under the age of consent.

You might want to look into the legality issues before you do something next time.

First of all, you need a TON more detail. homnestly, I don't think anyone knows whats going on! Did he force you? Where you drunk? I need moreinformation to tell you.
And second of all, who you think you are? Darling I'm sorry but you're acting like a tramp. You are wayy too young to be having sex. are you even in 7th grade yet? This is illegal. So, yeah. He can be charged. Not trying to judge, but get a grip. And don't 'Whatever you're too old to understand' me. You're nearly my age. You need to get your head out of the clouds and finish elemetary school. I'm sorry for the honestly. -hope I helped.
