It takes 2 days for muscle tissues to restore so you need to do like 2 days of work out then 2 days of rest at least. Or if you for example do treadmill everyday on high intensity then it'll work for you as it's one of the best ways to burn fat. goodgirlrayray answered Tuesday August 13 2013, 9:29 pm: You most definitely can. But you never mentioned how much you weigh right now it all depends. If your like over 300 pounds definitely but it you're like 200 190 no it will be very difficult the closer you get to your gold the harder it becomes.so if you're bigger you lose fast if your smaller you'll lose but it will be slower. You have your work cut out for you that's a lot of weight to lose. 20 pounds a month you can do any thing you put your mind to. Have you ever watched that reality show called the biggest loser? Those people lose weight fast but they work really hard and workout for more than an hour per day. Cut out bread pasta soda dairy fried foods any thing with high fructose corn syrup soda. And most importantly NO SUGAR sugar is the enemy trust me I speak from experience. Walk on an incline on the treadmill for an hour it does wonders for all over your body. 6 times a week one day rest. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables invest in a juicer juice veggies and go on a 3 or4 day juice fast to cleanse your body and speed up the weight lose process. Hope I helped you out. adviceman49 answered Tuesday August 13 2013, 10:15 am: While it might be possible it is not a good idea. In the time span you are looking at the total amount of weight you may be able to safely lose is about 56 pounds which works out to 3.5 pounds a week.
Losing this much weight in this short of time while possible will take much and dedication and result in only a temporary loss as quick loss diets tend quicker weight gains when weight goals are achieved.
IF you do decide to go on this type of weight loss diet you would be wise to start with a physical by your family doctor. Advise you doctor of your diet plan and follow your doctor's advice. Your doctor will most likely want to monitor your health while you are dieting which I totally recommend as this type of diet can be harmful to your health if not monitored by a physician. Alin75 answered Tuesday August 13 2013, 2:48 am: I agree, 80 pounds is too much. The problem with doing too much too soon is that you can cause your body harm. You can even damage your metabolism leading to the yo-yo effect, where you regain lost weight. For most overweight people it is unadvisable to exceed 2 pounds of weight loss per week.
Regarding your eating habits, I agree with most of what was written below. I would add that you should eat small balanced meals ever 3-4 hours. This will keep your blood sugar stable. You do not need a water target, how much you need to drink depends on who you are, what you do, and where you live. Our body's thirst mechanism regulates this well in healthy people. But, to be safe, just keep in mind to stay hydrated.
Finally, do not work out every single day. The body needs rest days, so take at least one per week. Best exercise is a combination of cardio, and weight training - at your own level and within your own limitations.
katiekat answered Monday August 12 2013, 10:50 pm: You can definitely lose quite a bit of weight between now and January. 80 pounds may be a little unrealistic, depending on your current health. With consistency, you may be looking at more like 40 pounds at the most.
The reason I say that is because 80 pounds in 4 months is 20 pounds per month. That's 1.5 pounds, PER DAY. That would be very difficult to maintain. You would have to eat a very very low amount of calories, and by doing so your body may actually go in to "starvation mode" where it starts consuming the good fats in your body to keep you alive. Also, consuming such a low amount of calories would not be beneficial with working out. You need to be able to fuel your body for workouts and you may burn out very quickly if you don't do it correctly or enough.
My advice would be to cut out empty carbs from bread, pasta, etc., and refined or artificial sugars from sweets, fizzy drinks, and so on. Base your diet on vegetables, particularly your leafy greens, white meats (chicken, tilapia, shrimp, crab etc,) and fruit. Only eat when you are hungry! Also increase you water intake to a half gallon to a full gallon a day, that will help with any water retention.
This in combination with daily workouts will be effective in weight loss, just don't set your goal too high or you may get discouraged and quit.
solidadvice4teens answered Monday August 12 2013, 10:44 pm: NEVER go on any diet without consulting your physician first and especially for safety. 80 lbs is a lot in a short time. A doctor will tell you what is safe and realistic and determine if you are obese enough to even need to lose that much. They can get you a nutritionist and a plan to follow for success.
