DearAbby92 answered Tuesday September 13 2011, 3:59 pm: It's very nice of you to want to do this for your teachers.
I suggest thinking about their personalities. If one of your teachers is very fun and silly, he or she may like a gag gift. If one talks about how much they love chocolate and you see they have chocolate on their desks, you could get them some fancy chocolates.
I suggest going to Hallmark or even AC moore to get some ideas. They have personalized items and also generic teacher related gifts.
Candles, popcorn/candy gift baskets, flowers, and gift certificates are good gift ideas.
For an english teacher, maybe you could get her one of your favorite books or one you think she will like.
For a math teacher maybe you can get him a ruler with his name on it or a soduku book.
LadyDesi112 answered Tuesday September 13 2011, 1:42 am: Hey,
A common gift for teachers that is affordable and for both males and females would be fancy breath mints. In most cases, chocolate mints or the york peppermint patties in decorative cases (or wrappers) go great. However, keep in mind, these are popular, so your gift may not be unique if that's what you were going for. Cards of appreciation are always nice, especially when you add a personal inscription on the inside. Gift cards are a wonderful idea, but you would definitely be splurging! What about encouraging refridgerator magnets? It's a nice, inexpensive thought that does count! These are just a few ideas, most of which I've gone with before.
Hope I helped =) [ LadyDesi112's advice column | Ask LadyDesi112 A Question ]

TuscanSun answered Monday September 12 2011, 4:06 pm: Don't get cliche things, like stuff aimed for teachers.
You could get the guy a gift card to a local restaurant, and you can get the women flowers or small gift baskets. Nothing with lotion or anything like that, but maybe fruit/candy. [ TuscanSun's advice column | Ask TuscanSun A Question ]
mary200022 answered Monday September 12 2011, 1:10 pm: hi,
well since you dont have such a huge budget, there a lots of things you can give them so i will give you most of the ones i can think of.
1. you could get him/her a nice ink pen that isn't that expensive and if it isn't that expensive you could even get their name in graded into it.
2. you could make a poem with what you like about that teacher and how much they helped you with the information that would help you through life and maybe find a nice cheap photo frame and put it in that.
3. or if you wanted to keep it simple and cute you could find a plain card and on the inside write 'thank you for everything, you really helped' or something like that and that would be a sweet simple way of saying thanks.
4. you could find some cheap beautiful flowers or chocolates or what ever they like and go up to them and just say thank you and that would be heartfull.
5.you could go up to him/her and hand them a small plant (tree/flower/bush E.G) and say 'this started out as a seed in dirt, with the nutrition and nourishment it grew in time to tern into this, i was the seed and the dirt was school, you are the nutrition and nourishment, you helped me grow into this through the help with encouragement and the help when working, without you i couldn't have turned into this, thank you so much'.
6. you could give him/her a picture of him/her and yourself together or him/her helping you with work and on the other side you could write how much you appreciate all the help he/she has gave you and through helping to become better.
nikz answered Monday September 12 2011, 12:08 pm: well why don't you try some homemade gifts? i know this is kinda cheesy but how about baking some cupcakes or brownies or a little cake and write whatever you want on it with frosting this would make each teacher feel special and it would be really appreciated as you took the time to make it and not bought something from a store trust me teachers like that kinda stuff it would mean alot.
or you could also make a scrapbook and get all the kids to sign it and put pictures so they would always remember your class, a bouquet of flowers would also be nice remember that it's the thought that counts and it would be really sweet because i'm sure that not many kids would do this for their teachers [ nikz's advice column | Ask nikz A Question ]
AskAliceMadisson answered Monday September 12 2011, 12:07 pm: What a wonderful deed yo want to do.
I think you should think throughout all the things that happened
in maths class. Think about something funny or weird and base
your gift on that. For the female teachers you should buy them
something they won't throw away and will come in useful, you
could buy things as simple as a gift basket that you put together
yourself, such a fruit, because they will apreciate that you did it
yourself. You could get them a mug saying best teacher of the
year, or a picture frame, teachers love that.
I hope I helped out. Good luck.
BreezyBunny10 answered Monday September 12 2011, 11:25 am: Umm, crap. I was never good at buying stuff for anyone, let alone my teachers lol. So just get them something simple like a coffee mug or just little things they can put on their desks.
Good luck though! Sorry if I can't help much. (: [ BreezyBunny10's advice column | Ask BreezyBunny10 A Question ]
WittyUsernameHere answered Monday September 12 2011, 10:41 am: Honestly I haven't got a clue. I'd imagine things that relate to their subjects, something that might prove useful to them, but I have no idea what that something might be. I had a friend who did that, he had an English teacher who he really liked so he got the guy a few Cafe Press T-Shirts with English related jokes on them and the guy wore them all the time the next year. I will say that I think teachers would appreciate the thought more than the money, so you should spend some time thinking about what you'd like to get them and try to figure out something clever. Carriebeca answered Monday September 12 2011, 10:04 am: I always think personal is best so you could buy a pack of blank cards, do your own picture on the front (drawing, stamping, photo or whatever takes your fancy) and address it to each teacher. With a heartfelt 'thankyou' inside it'll get the biggest 'Aaahhhhhh!' possible! [ Carriebeca's advice column | Ask Carriebeca A Question ]
adviceman49 answered Monday September 12 2011, 9:21 am: I think that is a wonderful idea and I think any thing you give them will be well received and cherished.
I have always liked something that is made for me by the person giving it. I am a first responder and on 9/1q1 the neighbors have always turned out to do something nice for us. I especially like it when the children in the neighborhood bring in something they baked for us or cook for us.
Some have made quilts for our beds. I realize you don't have much time between now and the 17th. I would see what you can do to come up with something that represents you and how you feel about them.
