Its not a bad thing but if you guys ever had children since you are related it would cause the children to have birth defects which would not be good. Try finding someone who isn't related to you or keep your relationship with your cousin PG.

It is perfectly fine to love your cousin. I doubt you could ever have a lasting relationship with them because of society. Many find it wrong but it's only considered wrong originally because sex was supposed to be for reproduction. You put your child at risk of hvaing genetic defects when procreating with relatives. But if you notice years ago the royal family only married within their family. It wasn't until modern science found a link between retardation and sex among relatives that emphasis on incest was made.
Side question: do you think your attraction or desire to be with your cousin is sort of based on it being taboo? If thsi wasn't your cousin would you still be as attracted or is it the excitement of doing something "wrong".

It is ok to date your third and forth cousin because they maybe only related to you by marrige but your first and second are more then likly closer and if date them its like dating your brother or sister but I hope whatever disiton you make will make you happy thats all it really comes down too.

Actually about 3 years ago I met some of my cousins that I hadn't seen sense I was little and they didn't know I was there cousin one of them was 1 year younger than me and the other 2 years younger, but they just thought I was at there grandparents house because they where baby sitting me but they kept telling me they liked me and I was pretty and wanted to go out with me, and I said Im your cousin and they didnt believe me they had to ask, and they still went on liking me. So yah It is ok to be in love with him. I have heard many things like this it is normal. Like some people are in love with their brothers and sisters, so yah this is better than that. Your cousin is your family, That is considered incest and incest is illegal. That is gross, Find someone who is not in your family and is not a blood related relative.

Short answer; probably not. If he is a first cousin it is considered incest and is illegal to marry in all states and in many countries of the world. If he is a second cousin then you would have to check the law for an answer as to if this is still considered incest.
