The only time masturbation is wrong is if it becomes all encompassing. Meaning you spend all of your time masturbating to the extend that you are not socializing, doing homework or anything else. The average teenage male may masturbate 3 to 5 times a day. I don't have any statistics for females but I would guess that would be slightly lower than the male statistics.
My thoughts on why some people feel it is bad or say religion forbids it is: They say that sex is meant for procreation and not for pleasure. One masturbates for the release of sexual tension and pleasure. Which leads to the second reason; once you feel the pleasure in releasing the sexual tension you want to move on to sexual intercourse. This does not always have to be the case. Masturbation can also be seen as an alternative to intercourse and usually is so. [ adviceman49's advice column | Ask adviceman49 A Question ]

RoxyK96 answered Sunday May 15 2011, 3:25 pm: Absoloutely not. Masturbating is a normal thing any one of ages anywhere of 12 and up. Masturbating is just your body experimenting with what makes you feel good and how your body reacts to these feelings. Nothing is wrong with wanting to touch yourself down there. Honestly most people have at least tried it by the age of fourteen.Hope i helped and feel free to inbox me for any more advice. [ RoxyK96's advice column | Ask RoxyK96 A Question ]
