Hot if she's hot and takes care of herself. ]
Girls with dread locks are as nice as girls with out them. ]
Oh man, good dreads on a girl is super sexy. Just not the hobo haven't showered all year hippie thing, that is gross but, well done dreads on a decent looking girl would turn my head. ]
My honest opinion ..... hideous, especially on a woman. I think it makes the woman appear very unapproachable and unprofessional. So yeah, not attractive at all. ]
I may be the odd one here, but I think they CAN be attractive on both genders. it all depends on how well kept & neat they look, how attractive the person is in the first place, & who theyre tryin to attract. usually a person with dreads wouldnt care what people think. I know a lot of guys who think its sexy as hellll believe it or not.

Hideous.

Female.
Any color.
Any race.
Hideous.
Absolutely hideous. Additionally, disgusting. Revolting. Don't do it. Major turn-off. Major ick-factor. And, no, my issue with them is not that I think the hair isn't washed or something. It's just extremely unattractive looking. ]
If you're black, then short dreadlocks can look pretty cool.
If you're a white girl, then they look ridiculous/hideous. What are you, Bob Marley's photo negative? ]
It depends on who you're trying to attract, and how well done your dreads are. I've seen some dreads that are actually kind of cute, but they tend to be the ones that are professionally done and smaller. If you do them yourself, chances are they'll look more like ratty tangles than dreads. Ick. If you're looking to attract more of an 'alternative' sort of person, then they will find it attractive. Employers, not so much.
Dreads are washed, contrary to popular belief. You wash them with dish soap so that they stay dried out.
The part that you may not have considered is the post-dread stage. Eventually, you will want to get rid of them. The only way is to shave your head to about 1/2 inch. So keep in mind that not only are you stuck with dreads once you have them, but you're also stuck with no hair when you do finally get sick of them. ]
I would absolutely not look twice at a girl who had done that with her hair. If it was someone that I already knew and liked, and she did it, then maybe I could get past it...
Another thing, part of which is why I gag to think about it, is that I don't believe they wash dread locks. That is beyond gross. (I'd read or heard that some time ago and don't know it for sure.)
A woman's hair is pretty important to most guys. My wife has shoulder length hair and there is nothing in the world like having her head on my chest with that soft, fantastic smelling hair. Dread locks? Shudder... ]
Brutally honest? One word: Revolting.
Longer answer: The single ugliest, most disgusting thing a woman could possibly do to her head short of setting it on fire.
Here is a piece of info from the male side of things: A woman with a hairstyle a guy finds attractive, will be percieved as stunning. Same woman, different haircut... total turn-off.
So, while this is an individual preference, and will differ for each guy: If you sport the style that is viewed, in this country anyway, as the only hairstyle less attractive on a woman than corn-rows... your odds of being attractive to the guy you are interested in will be reduced. Something to think about anyway. :-)
I should add in here, that I went to school with a stoner who was so ripped he literally, no joke, wouldn't be able to answer you if you asked his name... his dream girl? ANY girl, just as long as she had dreads like him.
I added that in there, just in case that is your dream guy. If so, he is probably still single. ;-) ]
Absolutely not. On any gender. ]
