While you don't have dog food, I would divide his food into three different components: white rice (boiled and cooled of course, unsalted), boiled boneless chicken, beef, pork, lamb, etc, and boiled veggies (carrots, greens, brocolli, etc).

But as soon as you can, get some proper dog food. The best brand out there is called Science Diet. I would get the kind for adult, small breed dogs.

Hey there,
Just like that other person said, hamburger is a very good thing for a dog :) Beef, liver, tuna, lamb or chicken is good as well. Small bits of meat every now and then is good. Rice is good for dogs. You could also give the dog peanut butter, it may stick to their mouth at first, but it is good for them. Carrots are a good treat, you could give it a carrot to chew on. Putting a carrot in an ice cube tray and filling it with water then freezing it is good too. Dogs love it. Almost any vegetable would work. My pup loves bananas, and apples. Watermelon, cantelope, peaches, honeydew, mangoes, apples, and cherries (without the pits, of course) are good. Oh, and potatos. My puppy loves potatos, the peels are fine. Dont feed the dog too much of one thing in a setting. Watch out for seeds, they are not good for dogs. Every dog likes different things. Since you have internet you could search a 'simple dog treat recipe' and find what you want. These are only a few of the things dogs can eat.
Hope I helped, Good luck :D

Don't worry so much, As you and I know dogs don't always eat dog food anyway some eat table scraps. If it is a little weiner dog try feeding it small portions maybe some chopped up hotdogs (Nuke warm in a microvewave but not too hot) Peices of chicken, ham, any meat is okay. Just don't over feed it and avoid dairy products they tend to give dogs diarreah.

Hope I helped some.
