Why do girls use the word Love so much?
Im friends with a bunch of girls and they always use it. Im good friends with them but do they like me or sumthin? Its also really akward becuase i dont use it unless its actuall love,

Well not all girls do this. but i'm a girl and i ONLY say it when i really mean it to the person i'm dating. or girls will say it to their friends. becuz love isnt just for a guy to say to a girl when their dating. love is willing to do anything for someone. so it doesnt nesacarly mean they like you.
so dont feel awkward, i think its great your saving the meaning of love, for when you really mean it...not many people do that anymore.

girls generally use this as a phrase to just express that they like something that's going on, or maybe something you did. if it's a bunch and it's flat out in public like "oh my gosh, i love you!" it's most likely them kidding around. it's just something we say alot in general, just like when some girls will say something like "no way! shut up!" they don't actually mean it, it's just kinda a phrase these days.
and it's a good thing you don't just throw the word around. personally, i believe it should be that way, so it means alot more when you're ready to actually say it :P

I'm the same as you most of the time, and I'm a girl.
It's just the way it goes. People feel comfortable saying the L word more freely than others.
They could love you in a friendly way. it's impossible to tell whether it's more than that, though, because noone here personally knows them etc. If you want to know if they *like* you, look out for other signs.

That is great! I am a female myself and I understand completely how you feel. I believe it should only be used in reference to true love, but since your friends like to do it, that is okay too. My advice: try not to take it too seriously ;)

we use it in a general term as a substitute for liking something or when something is nice

girls say love a lot not necessarily meaning that they want to marry you and be with you forever, haha. it's not that. girl's usually just throw it around to express how they feel about something or someone. actually, everyone does it. "omg, i LOVE this movie" or "haha, i LOVE you so much, girl!" i mean i'm sure they love you, but they're not in love, those are two very different things. i hope i helped!
