Question Posted Wednesday October 17 2007, 6:31 pm

does anyone else think it is dumb how girls wear low-cut tops and expect guys NOT to stare? they get offended when they do but theyre the ones that are like trying to get their attention??

[ Answer this question ]

Additional info, added Wednesday October 17 2007, 8:28 pm:

obviously im talking about the ones that do and that complain about it

what other reason would you have for buying and wearing low-cut tops out in public? okay, more importantly, in school?

I don't think it's any dumber than anything else people do.

Think about it. When they complain, they're just trying to get more attention. They might say something like, "Oh my GOD. You're staring at my boobs, aren't you?! You are such a pervert!"

What they mean is, "You're cute. You're hot. I like you. Pay attention to me!"

It's a little more complicated than that, though. One could argue that they're not mature enough to know what they want, and have to rely on MTV to tell them what they want. Some people might find it a little unethical.

But basically, they just want attention.

It's not that dumb.

I agree to an extent. I do hate it when girls put their chest on display then yell at guys for looking.

However:

I speak from experience here. I am "blessed" in the chest area. Unless the shirt I wear is a turtle neck or a simple t shirt, I'm going to be showinga little cleavage. In all tank tops, polo shirts (that aren't buttoned to the neck), v-necks, scoop necks, and camisoles. It's because I have a large chest, but wear a smaller size. I can't help it, I don't do it for attention, and it's not even very bad cleavage, like a lot of girls, but guys still point it out to me. Daily. It's annoying, and I find it rude when a guy can't take his eyes off of my chest to look me in the eye.

Well, yes and no.

Yes, if you put it on display, you are asking to get looked at.

But staring IS rude. You aren't supposed to stare at anyone like a gapping idiot. You aren't supposed to stare at the physically handicaped, or at the mentally ill... Even stranger on the bus politely avoid staring at eachother right!

So when I am speaking to a guy, low cut shirt or not, it is polite of him to look me in the eyes.

Yes, girls who complain about this are kinda dumb, but guys who don't have the sense to adjust thier gaze when it's pitifully obvious what they are doing are also not the brightest crayons in the box.

i agreeee
its also like when girls wear pants that say "juicy" and get offended when guys are like "hey...nice ass"
they buy the shirts to get attention, but when they realize it they like kinda freak out? its an identity-finding thing
i hope that helped
