akward situation with the older kid

i babysit a 6 year old girl and her 12 year old brother. the boy doesn't need much attention he pretty much stays to himself while i play with the 6 year old. one day i went to the boy's room and walked in and saw him masturbating. i was shocked and said sorry and he looked absolutly scared beyond belief but now whenever i'm babysitting i can hear him in his room doing it. i don't know if i should say something or try to ignore it.

I would talk to him about it first but then if he keeps doing it i would talk to his parents becouse his little sister could walk in on him just like you did.

I wouldn't tell his mom, it's perfectly natural and it was an accident when you walked in on him.The next time you see him pull him aside and ask him not to do that while you babysit, and that it kinda freaks you out. but be nice about it because talking about it with a girl at his age is like super awkward. and if you want to make him feel better about it tell him that everyone does it.

I think that if it happens again you should tell his mother. In the world today its easier to talk to someone like a parent about it, you never know what a child is going to say or do, and you never now if they are going to say you did something sexual to them, so just talk thing out with his mother. You may even both speak to him about it.

I really think snice i have a 13 year old brother and if this happened to him i would tell his parents mother probly its probly easier to tell her and let her handle it but if she asks if you still wanna work for because of it then say yes because you can always igore it

I say that you should ignore it. they are right when they say that it is normal for him to be doing that. Turn up the volume on the T.V. && you'll have no clue he's doing it.

heyy well hun, it's completely normal for a 12 year old boy to be doing that, i mean he's almost a teenager, and he's in middle school.
just ignore it and don't mention it to him or go in his room w/o knocking first anymore.
he probably just does it around you because he's afraid that if he does it in front of his parents, they'll hear him.
just let him be and try not to think about it too much=)

he's almost a teenager and it's natural. I would just leave him be and let him do it. Maybe he feels better doing it when you're there rather than when his parents are because he doesn't want them to hear? I dont know, but he's hormonal and it's perfectly normal. If it gets to a point where he is being too noisey then I would talk to him about it, but if his little sister doesn't notice and he's doing it in his room then I would let him be. If there is porn involved though, then I would confront him about it because guys shouldn't at that young of an age be exposed to porno girls because then they will assume that all girls look like that when in reality they dont and he will be expecting too much from women in the future. It really just depends on the situation, but for the most part I would just leave him be.

well i can say i walked in and saw my 12 year old cousin do that i just left it alone but when my aunt caught him sometime later it was hell so you can either ignore it or tell his parent or you can just ask him if he would please not do that when your there

Although it's not decent of him to do it when you're babysitting, it is his house - and at least you know he's okay.
Try your best not to hear him do it.
