The author surveyed a bunch of people on what sort of impression they had of certain names. Like for example most people think of Ann as a plain, serious person... and Alexis as someone bossy and self-centered. Amarete answered Wednesday August 1 2007, 11:34 pm: It would help to know what sort of story you're writing. If it's fantasy, then made-up names (or names that come from dead languages) that aren't used in real life might be better, and real names might be better for most anything else.
Real-life names that make me think spoiled are Rebecca, Brittany, Ashley, Rachel, or something similar. These names just sound more pretentious to me.
I'm not good at fantasy names. XD Sorry about that. But if you need more names, type 'baby names' or something like that into Google. There are a lot of websites dedicated to helping people choose names, and they have the meanings of the names, too.
