uisforukelele answered Wednesday July 18 2007, 4:38 pm: go to foodtv.com and look up recipes for rice. they will probably have a ton. also, have you ever tried risotto? it is like, cheese rice. it is really good! you could always do steamed rice, fried rice, sticky rice, or even just put random veggies or beef or pork in there. my friend's mom makes this chicken stuff over rice, and it is amazing! you could probably cut up chunks of chicken and put in your rice. also, zatarain's (or something) is a brand of rice that you can find in the grocery store, and i think it is like cajun rice. gumbo is also good with rice, so maybe you could put random seafood in your rice? haha, happy rice eating!
edit: haha, funny you say that, because this is actually the only site that i don't bother using capital letters on! i am actually a grammar freak but i have to remind myself to chill out a little bit when i come here because of the butchering of the english language that goes on :( [ uisforukelele's advice column | Ask uisforukelele A Question ]
MAK answered Wednesday July 18 2007, 2:03 pm: I don't know what kind of rice you eat, but there are different kinds. I bet you are eating just plain american rice. There are several very delicious types of rice, the two most popular being Basmati and Jasmine. My personal favorite is Jasmine. I am pretty sure both of them are used in Asian cuisine. You cook it just like regular rice, and if you want, you can put it in the oven for a few minutes for a more "steamed" effect. [ MAK's advice column | Ask MAK A Question ]
clarayow answered Wednesday July 18 2007, 11:23 am: Have you heard of fried rice? Fry it with egg, corn, onions, soya sauce and prawns/ham/any
meat you like in a frying pan.
Pineapple rice is when you add pineapple cubes to the above fried rice combination.
phatdopelove answered Wednesday July 18 2007, 11:04 am: You can warm up the rice and put salt and butter on it, it tastes really good, and you can put kikkoman's soy sauce in it, I do that every once and ahile, or fry your rice and put soy sauce in it so you have fried rice, or you can put cajun sauce in it thats good too. lol.
