Unfortunately, you can not lost fat on your gut without some form of cardio exersize. All crunches do are tighten your abs and make them harder. But, if you have a layer of fat on top of this, it's pretty pointless.
To get rid of that fat you need cardio. It's obvious you don't like running, or can't run, so maybe swimming is more up your alley? Biking is also a great alternative.
What I find works great though is jumping rope. Grab that skipping rope and jump for 45 seconds, take a minute break or so, and repeat. Do this for about 7-10 minutes a couple days a week, and eat healthy, and you'll be on your way to a skinnier gut.
However, this takes time. You can't expect something like this to appear overnight, or even over a week, but keep at it and you'll be right on your way.
HelpingHands12 answered Wednesday July 18 2007, 11:13 am: It's easy. Just to sit ups, crunches, that kinda stuff. I bought a Pilates DVD and its 25 minutes of working out your abs. It really helps! I do it once a day. Also, make sure your not eating unhelathy. Stick to foods that are good for you.
