Does he really exsist??
I feel terrible for needing to ask ths but does God really exist??
My family (and i??) are christians but lately i doupt that God really made us the earth and everything around us. If so WHY did he make us and the earth EVERYTHING!!!
please don't tell me he doesn't exsist b/c in the back of my mind i believe but then agian?!?

it's not something that is like, easy to understand all the time. how come you are doubting that God made everything though? i mean, where else could it have all come from? think about how intricate the human body in itself is. how could that have come from nothing? the way all of our systems work together and everything.

yes he does exist. look at it like this.. who else do you know, that can make a PERFECT circle? i know of no one besides God. and i what i mean by that, is the earth is a PERFECT circle. man can not make a pefect circle. i belive what you're goin through now, is the devil temping, putting other ideas in your thoughts. i've went through this before. all i do is rebuke the devil in the name of jesus. bible says satan will flie from you if you flie from him, draw near to God, God will draw near to you. read the bible. seek God. you seek God he will help you out. bible says ask and you shall recive, seek and you shall find, knock, and the door shall be open to you. you go to God in pray he ain't goin run away from you, he'll answer you're prayer. i hope this helped.

I agree completely with Mr.Skittles. God, as depicted in the bible, is a horrible, horrible person. Anyone who lives their life according to the bible would be the exact opposite of the morality Christians say they represent. Even if there was absolute proof the Christian God existed, I wouldn't worship him. Since there isn't any proof, I won't accept or deny the existence of a god or an afterlife.
What's with everyone quoting the bible to prove there's a god? That's like me saying "I know everything", it's self-fulfilling and useless. There's actually only *one* reference to Jesus of Nazareth in *all* of ancient literature, outside of the bible. On top of that, it seems to me that the one reference was tacked on by Christians.

It sounds like God is taking you to a place of discovering a personal faith. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." You have been taught truth and now you need to apply that truth to your life in a personal way. God is calling you to seek Him and He promises if you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him. (Jeremiah 29:13)
Yes, God exists. Psalm 19:1 says, "The heavens keep telling the wonders of God, and the skies declare what he has done."
Go outside and look around. Trees, the sunrise, birds...look in the mirror at your eyeball...God made it all.
Don't allow the atheist or agnostic to lead you down the path of throwing away your faith. Psalm 14:1 says, "The fool has said in his heart there is no God..." They are fools and I pray they repent and follow Jesus before it's to late.
Every person is created to bring glory to God, but we each are created for a very specific purpose in bringing that glory to God.
God has given me the ability to write stories. I can choose to use the writing talent to bring glory to Him or to the devil. The choice is mine. I choose to fulfill my purpose and give God glory and now He is giving me open doors to put my ability to work in the film industry. Look out Hollywood!

Don't tell you he DOESN'T exist, yet you want to know our opinions on if he does or does not?
Firstly, before I go into this, I'm not atheist, I'm agnostic. You may be heading that way also, judging by the way you're questioning things.
The way I view it, God is quite possibly a made up being. You see, Hell as it is, is supposed to be some terrible place filled with fire and ghastly feelings throughout your body.
Why isn't hell different? Why isn't hell attuned to each an every person. For instance, picture being locked in a black and white room with the colors being black and white, a 50s looking couple dancing in front of you to classical music. You're stuck watching this for eternity. You can't sleep, you can't do anything. That could quite possibly be someone's hell.
Why not?
Because people used to be burned at the stake, etc. Fire was viewed as a horrible, terrible, and very feared thing.
Where am I going with this? The Bible was written quite some time ago, and one reason I assume it's not all that true and just a story is because fire was a terrible thing back then, now things are slightly different. Then fire was viewed as horrific, and while today it still is, there are worse things.
Even if God was real, why do I want to respect him? He's an evil man. Have you read before Jesus actually was brought onto earth? Exodus, all that stuff? Read some of it, I encourage you to. It's filled with rape, death, slaughter, sacrifice and more.
God asked a man to take his son and KILL HIM. God said "Kill this boy, kill your son, to prove you believe and have faith in me."
Right before this man goes to kill his son God says "Haha, just kidding man, I'm just fucking with you."
Do you think, that if today, someone came out with that story today and just made it a book or anything else, he wouldn't be viewed as a terribly sick and sadistic man? No, hell no. People would say "You're fucking crazy, do you know that?"
God turned someone into salt for looking behind them while running away from their home... he's not all that nice, is he?
God wasn't someone people respected and therefore they worshiped him, God was someone people feared and therefore they worshiped him. They didn't want to die.
If God acted in such a way, why do we not see such acts today? What made him change, what made him cool off?
You know what's confusing? Why do church sermons concentrate on Jesus and only him? Because Jesus was this nice guy, who loved everyone and died on the cross for YOU and everyone else.
People don't pay attention to God because he's that guy with the temper that's gunna kill you for not doing as he asks.
And, the best question of all is the one you presented.
Why did God make the earth? Why did God even bother creating us? Was it just something he made up because he was bored one day?
"I'm gunna make earth and a bunch of people and kill them off as I please and make them worship me, if they do that they won't die!"
If anything, God made us to fill his ego and show how powerful he was... not because he loved us. The only thing he loves is fucking with us. We're his play toy, his big project.
In the beginning there was nothing, no color, no nothing. How the hell did he get there?
People made God up, people made Heaven and Hell up because of one reason: They needed to believe that when you die, you have somewhere to go.
People can't fathom the fact that our time on earth could quite possibly be the only time we have anywhere.
Have you tried to imagine what it would be like to be dead and not go to Heaven or Hell? If you have, I'm sure you got quite scared. I get a chill every time I sit and think about it. The best way to compare it is thinking about before you were born, but thinking about YOU before you were born.
People made God, Heaven and Hell, because they were scared they had nothing to live for, nowhere to go after death and to make mourning the dead easier.

Have faith? Is that all they can give me? Faith?!
People have no answers to certain questions, and when someone who believes in God or Jesus starts to lose some argument over religion it all dwindles down to one thing: You've gotta have Faith.
That's not enough for me.
Speak with your pastor on the subject. Ask him questions you're confused about, heck, even ask your parents.
I could go on and on, about all the different religions, God's problem with realizing that as humans, we may make the human mistake to not believe in him.
Why would we go to hell if he manufactured us to possibly not believe in him? If this deity is so powerful, so fucking all knowing, how the hell did he leave out the part where we don't believe in him and go to Hell for it?

Like it has been said before, it's a personal belief.
However, just for a moment I would like you to take in the sheer complexity of the world around you. Yes most of it can be explained by science and through modern understanding.
However, now look at yourself and ask yourself how your personality came to be, how your parents came to love one another, how your family shares a bond that is almost unbreakable, despite what might happen. The fact that you live and breath, make decisions based on morals, think and discuss if there is a God. There is your proof right there.
The thing is, life and the universe are far, far too complex for there not to be a higher being (i.e "God"). Science can only explain so much to us and even then we know very little. God exists simply because you exist and are able to ponder the thought "does God exist?"
As for purpose..it isn't man's affairs to wonder what a deity's plans and designs are. We're powerless to stop anything set forth by the Almighty, therefore our purpose is simply to live.

No one can tell you if God exists, or doesn't exist. If we had irrefutable proof that he did exist, we wouldn't have agnostics, or atheists. It can't be proven, or disproven. It comes down to whether YOU believe he does. If I was to told you, over the internet... that god did exist, it wouldn't prove anything. Personally, I doubt that there ever was a deity to being with... but since I don't know the origins of life, I could be wrong.

so you are asking "does GOD exist" but you dont want people to answer no? what exactly do you expect to gain? i mean, i personally believe He does, but what good does that do you? your best bet would be to listen to arguments both for and against. you can check out literature from other religions for some fresh perspectives. you can check out an atheist vs theist group on myspace if you have one. theres lots of literature out there on the subject.

God does exist if you have doubts ask yourself then who made this earth it can't be made by itself?He made people,earth because he wanted to see people live,increase in number,god made this earth in just five days,also he loved to see the view of nature wanted to give us the chance to enjoy it,live in paradise for eternity but, because of the devil he ruined that dream for all humanity.God himself always listens to my prayer he does exist,also ask yourself this as well don't you think that if there is evil there must also be good,there is definitely proof that there is a devil there are pictures of him shown when the twin towers got blown up so that leaves god to exist because in the books of god it saids how god use to have the devil as an angel but then the devil wanted to take over his spot so he was punished,thrown down into the fire so doesn't it make sense that god would have to exist for the devil's story to occur,and for that reason there are even people on this very earth.Hopefully you're convinced after the things you just read.

i belive he exsits because the bible has so many stories of jesus..and all the wonders he had accomplished. and jesus states that God is our father. No1 knows why God had made all the earth and people but he did. i mean i question like how did God just appear...but i belive in God for comfort when i need him. I belive in heaven is where great people go to be with God...and one day i hope i get to meet God and Jesus and ask them so many Questions. I mean people belive what they belive...and dont feel terrible for asking that Question because many people do. Trust me<3
