what do you think of sophomore year? i heard its harder than the freshman year whats the diffrence between freshman year and sophomore year? which one do you think it was better?
Genrawks2 answered Monday June 25 2007, 5:34 pm: Well, I'm assuming you're talkin academic-wise. Because socially, everyone's social life is just different lol
Freshmen year, you have to adjust though.
New school, new friends, new lunches[in which you CAN get seperated from all your friends], new teachers, new kind of classes, etc etc. So sophomore year is kindof easier in the aspect of knowing the school a bit more than the year before, knowing what foods to avoid, etc etc. I think sophomore year is better though, because you get more choices as to what classes you'd like to take and so on. And over here, you get more exemptions the higher up in high school you are. So yeahh.

I really think the work is a lot more fun and easier to do. There's probably going to be a lot more big projects and group projects, so be prepared to work with other people. I think you have a bit more freedom because it's no longer your first year into high school. I also think you read more books this year, depends on your school. But since you're not really new, the teachers expect you to know the rules and follow them. There's basically no excuses anymore. Sophomore year has always been great for everyone, you get to come out of your shell and be friends with nearly everyone.
I thought it was fun. Freshmen year sucked really. You're new and people bring you down because you're "Freshmeat". Yes you could be friends with everyone at that year but people will always say something about freshmen behind their backs. You got a step up in the high school world. You're probably treated better before you're a 10th grader.
I don't know. Nothing's quite that new with work. You'll make a lot of new friends, if you're willing to be social with others. Overall my best year so far. [ queenhearts's advice column | Ask queenhearts A Question ]
Teenagerr answered Monday June 25 2007, 2:33 pm: For me, freshman year was harder than sophomore year. Teachers are nicer in some aspects because they excuse you if you get lost or miss homework in the beginning but I think the work of sophomore year is easier.
I think it varies for different schools though. Sophomore year is easier to concentrate because you know the school better, the kids better, and the basic environment.
xokristabelle answered Monday June 25 2007, 2:28 pm: Personally, I hated freshman year. Everyone thinks you're lame and it's just boring, you can't take any of the fun classes.
Sophomore year's more fun. The classes are a little bit harder but there's not a huge difference. You might have a little more work but nothing excessive. I just finished up junior year and I think it's the hardest...the teachers pile on tons and tons of work!
Shortcake22 answered Monday June 25 2007, 1:09 pm: I think freshman year was tougher, actually. But that could be because I was new at school freshman year, and had to adjust to everything. Plus, none of my teachers were tough or mean sophomore year, and that was just luck. Both years were really easy though, it's junior year that SUCKS. =) [ Shortcake22's advice column | Ask Shortcake22 A Question ]
jeanine278972 answered Monday June 25 2007, 1:02 pm: My freshman year I just kind of slacked off. It was extremely easy for the most part, except my advanced placement classes sucked. freshman year your adjusting to the whole idea of high school. I got into partying during my freshman year. I started caring more, but it was also a little more difficult.
Freshman year was definitely easier and more fun, but don't take it all too lightly, you regret it in the end.
